• They’ll initially said it will $75 for heavy item and then before lifting that said we have to pay $85 extra to unload a massage chair which we didn’t get charged by other crew when loading. At the end they said $95 and when they saw we were about to give the tip the said $85 is ok and then We paid tip in addition to that. In general they did a good job.

  Hey, thank you Jaya for selecting Heavy Lifters. To clarify, we spoke over the phone initially letting you know specific specialty items with specific weight limits (like pianos, heavier gym equipment, etc.) do carry an extra fee. Massage chairs with a specific design do fall in. We do consider how strenuous it is to maneuver said pieces. I mentioned also beforehand that based on pictures and details provided without seeing the piece physically yet, an additional $75 would roughly be the range but I still would need to assess. Once in person we assessed the difficulty, weight, and size which took considerable effort even with the moving dolly straps we provide. In closing, we did happen to go over on the time by 15 minutes before we finished receiving payment. So based on time and the initial $75 range I stated we accepted and said $85. Although I dont recall a $95 request at the completion of the move, the tip was definitely appreciated. We do thank you and hope to see you again!
