Equipment rented/reserved should be placed with the vehicle to guarantee it is available to the customer. Customer experience of no available furniture dolly despite having requested one at time of reservation resulted in much more labor intensive move of piano. Multi-day rental or delay of reservation was not possible and therefore almost unacceptable. If a reservation is made, all efforts must be made to honor that reservation.

Equipment was clean, but not maintained to a safe level for a rental as I will explain. Because of the manager not willing to compensate for a poorly conditioned vehicle and my personal safety, I will not recommend this location to anyone. Rental was from 10/08/14 at 12:00pm – 10/10/14 at 12:00pm. The 24-foot truck I was given as a rental was in poor condition (14 years old and had 189,950 miles on it), and in the words of the mechanic that helped me during my roadside assistance... "I can't believe they let trucks like this out on the road." The fuel gauge doesn't function well and is why I needed to call for assistance as it read 1/3 to 1/4 of a tank, but as I travelled up a steep hill on route 22 West, it quickly went to empty and basically ran itself out of gas as the fuel line feed didn’t perform well when the gas shifted to the back of the tank. My call to Uhaul was at 2:19pm and was finally back on the road at 4:30 although not completely confident the truck would make it another 2 hours. The truck struggled to reach 55 mph travelling uphill and sounded like it would stall out on occasion. The mechanic (Terry) from Anytime Truck and Tire said all of the belts under the hood were loose and how poor the overall condition was as well. During my phone call with a manager at Uhaul-Greensburg, the manager told me they looked at the truck and it was in "perfect condition". When we discussed the gas tank situation he told me the older trucks have a tendency to run out of gas like they did when the gas levels are near 1/4 tank. I asked why I was not informed of this, and was told that's how it was. The Uhaul manager told me I would be reimbursed a one-day rental fee of $39.95. I asked him why that was all I would be reimbursed because I honestly felt my personal safety had been compromised by being loaned a truck that was not fit to be on the road. He told me that was all he could do because my trip was only delayed two hours and that they felt the truck was (again) in “perfect condition, and very well maintained”. I told him that couldn’t be further from the truth and asked why would a mechanic who only looked at the truck overall for five minutes tell me it shouldn’t even be on the road? I mentioned to the manager that the truck handled poorly when it was empty, let alone when it was 2/3 full, and travelling across the state of Pennsylvania on a 458-mile round trip with my family’s belongings I felt extremely unsafe while in the truck. The manager was surprised I had driven that far and asked me if I told whomever took my rental request that I was travelling that distance. I said yes, I told both the person on the phone and the other manager that gave me the keys the day I pulled out, and asked “…why that was an issue?” To my honest surprise, he told me “….that truck shouldn’t have been driven that far”!!!!! He said since it was an older truck it should “…only be used for local rentals in the area, and I shouldn’t have been

I am a first time u-haul renter. The service was excellent but prices were not .99 a mile plus refueling was too much. I finish with 108 miles all together 206 (with refueling) was more then I expected to pay.

Leah was again helpful on the phone when we had to return the truck to Greensburg. The return process at the Greensburg location was quick. No problems were encountered in Greensburg.

First off the truck was all over the road and the employee told us it was good on gas put over 100$ in tank and he still charged me because it was not completely on half tank but I had already put well over 300$ into it. Secondly, the sales clerk gave us an attitude at drop off and it really was on half tank but he wanted us to drive it another mile and put gas in after already spent well over 100$ filling tank up and refilling to half tank. So I will never rent from this center again. The employees were rude and not helpful and lied about the mileage. Also told me on telephone it would be 43 cents a mile and than it was changed to 79 cents a mile. Yes I was lied to and treated like crap by your employees. Maybe it was because I am a female, ya maybe I will get my attorney and sue for discrimination because if I was a man I probably would have been treated a whole lot differently. I will never rent from you again and I will never be back and I will tell all my business friends.

Delmont and Monroeville locations weren't available even though website said they were when booking. We wanted delmont since it was closer. Truck would of been nicer to have longer and more selections of trucks.

The door to our truck broke after we had the first load in it, we had Togo to the uhaul store and get another truck, and they didn't even help us switch the loads. That was the second truck I rented within a week. Was very disappointed

Train your call center customers to tell the truth. I wanted a 14 ft truck from 7P untill late afternoon (5P) and was told it was not a problem. Upon picking up the truck, I was told it had to be back by 1:30P. I explained what I had ordered and the Greensburg facility could care less of a person's needs. They said the truck had 3/8 tank of gas in it but when i pulled out, it went almost to empty. I paid for a truck I could not use as the movers were not coming until 12P. Then I had to rent another vehicle, and all they had was a pick up truck, and it took 3 trips. I will never use your services again.

The man who was at the desk was not very customer service oriented. He never even smiled until we left. I was told the mileage was a quarter of a tank, but about 2 miles down the road, I noticed it was less than that. Going back would only have added more mileage to my bill. I realize I should have checked before I left, but also feel they were dishonest with me about the mileage. I brought the truck back with more than a half a tank of gas, but of course they don't give you credit for that. I took pictures of the mileage and fuel gauge but doubt I will hear from them. It also would have been nice to have been told about the rental and motor vehicle taxes. Again - I know I could have asked when I took the vehicle, but like most, didn't think of these things at the time. I just feel that a company that is honest and up front would let their customer know all the little details since this is not a regular rental for most people. The truck served its purpose, but I go elsewhere next time I need a truck rental.

They entered the wrong drop off location for my truck. They had it dropped off where I picked it up from. Took time to fix. The gentlemen was helpful that waited on me and fixed it after some time. But had an overall horrible experience with uhaul.

When I picked up my rental the employee told me the fuel level was different than when checked in last (adjusted from 1/2 to 3/8) and that the gages aren't very accurate. When I returned my rental a different employee checked me in, everything was fine except the fuel level. He asked if I put gas in the vehicle I told I did and that the gage was bouncing all over. He never checked the gage again and charged me $30.00 for fuel. Not being able to accurately read the gage I didn't know exactly how much fuel to put in and thought I put enough in. The gage bounced between 12/ and 1/4 (if i put more in than required would he have gave me a discount). That being said I feel I was wrongly charged for fuel.

I did the on-line check in for a reservation I made just 30 minutes before arriving and I could not have been processed any faster. The clerk (Doug) was also very friendly. To top it off, they even refunded me the difference between as my mileage estimate was a few miles higher than I actually travelled thanks to the route selected. Look forward to using this location and will recommend to others.

In general for U-Haul contracts. There could be a differnt policy for short delays. I was late for one hour and led to a full day charge. There could be half day charge if you are late less than 2 hours late.

We had requested a truck for two days. We had gone to the location to solidify our order and were assured by the employee present that we would have the vehicle for two days. "It won't be a problem." When we went to pick it up, however, we were told we had to have it back in 20 hours. We stated that we were to have it for two days and the employee, who was the owner, said that wasn't possible and there was nothing he would do. We were being penalized because we wanted to pick up and drop off our truck at the same location.

There was only one worker at the location. He was friendly, but unable to assist my needs. There was misinformation given to me by the people who worked at the 800 number and instead of him calling direct and getting everything sorted out, he had me call and waste 45 minutes of my time getting transfered a million times and hung up on twice! So not happy with this expierience. The worker had a good attitude, but was extremely lazy!

I spent a few minutes figuring out how to adjust the side mirrors. I finally went back in for help and found out they were manual and I needed help adjusting them.. If the guy hadn't helped, it would have taken me quite a while to do myself, and seeing out them is obviously saftey necessary... Also, the seat did not shift up far enough for me being short... (Cargo van) a booster or something would have helped. Other than these two things everything was great!

My experience with Uhaul was 100% fantastic. The pick up and drop off was much easier than I expected and the guys working at the store were great. I was impressed with how helpful they were in making my move smooth and headache free. Bobby was especially observant of all my needs, a stellar chap for sure. I wish all customer service representatives would be a replica of his character and professionalism.
