Chippewa Auto Answers Customer Calls for U-Haul in Midland

MIDLAND, MICH. (June 12, 2015) – Chippewa Auto has been serving Midland for three decades. Todd Lee took over his father’s business 10 years ago and hasn’t looked back.

The local body shop, which specializes in collision repair and light mechanic work, also has a flourishing rental business. Since Chippewa Auto does plenty of insurance work, Lee saw the opportunity to remove a step from the process by offering his own loaner vehicles.

After getting countless calls about truck rentals, Lee recently decided to expand the rental side of his business by becoming a U-Haul® neighborhood dealer.

Chippewa Auto now offers U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and more. Reserve U-Haul items here by visiting http://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Truck-Rentals-near-Midland-MI or calling (989) 486-2045 today.

Chippewa Auto at 675 E. Isabella Road is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. After-hours drop-off is available for customer convenience.

With an ideal location between Midland and Mt. Pleasant, Chippewa Auto has already seen its U-Haul rentals coming and going with regularity. The pace only figures to pick up during the busy summer moving season.

Chippewa Auto is 25 miles from Central Michigan University, so when school is back in session, Lee sees his U-Haul fleet driving up and down Highway 20.

“We’re always looking for ways to grow as a business,” Lee said. “Ever since we got into the car rentals, we’ve been getting calls about trucks. It only made sense to add the U-Haul rentals.”

Lee and his brothers, Thad and Trent, were born and raised in Midland. The trio works together every day. Being a family business is important to the Lees, who intend to continue their father’s legacy for years to come.

U-Haul and Chippewa Auto are striving to benefit the environment through sustainability initiatives. Truck sharing is a core U-Haul sustainability business practice that allows individuals to access a fleet of trucks that is larger than what they could access on an individual basis.

Every U-Haul truck placed in a community helps keep 19 personally owned large-capacity vehicles, pickups, SUVs and vans off the road. Fewer vehicles means less traffic congestion, less pollution, less fuel burned and cleaner air.

Chippewa Auto is a great place to become U-Haul Famous. Take your picture in front of a U-Haul product, send it in and your face could land on the side of a U-Haul truck. Upload your photo through Instagram using #uhaulfamous, or go to www.uhaulfamous.com to submit photos and learn more.
