Put all your supplies and ingredients in a plastic container

The best thing for your health and your budget is to plan ahead! If you’re moving over several days, inventory your refrigerator 2-3 weeks before your move. Plan your meals around the items that you have to reduce waste. The day before your move ready for your meals by filling a plastic storage container with the following:

  1. Recipe Ingredients
  2. Plastic Utensils
  3. Paper Plates, paper cups and napkins
  4. Can opener
  5. Medium bowl
  6. Large Spoon
  7. Knife
  8. Wine Opener/Beer bottle opener (there is a good chance you’ll be looking for this after your move!)

Load your food container last, and store in an easy location to access throughout the move. If you have friends helping you move or if you’re hiring Moving Helpers, label the container “Kitchen” to ensure it gets put in the right room on move-in day.
