Fill up that propane tank and get ready for the end of summer barbecue with this great recipe! Labor Day marks the end of grilling season, but tasty burgers never go out of style. We asked U-Haul team members to submit their favorite grilling recipes, and this was one of our favorites.
Burgers are always a great summer grilling staple. These burgers are very tasty, mixing the delicious flavors of bacon and blue cheese. The grill brings out the succulent flavors of the ingredients, and when the patties are cooked perfectly everything comes to life. Once you try these burgers, you may never want a regular burger again! Check out the recipe for the bacon and blue cheese burger below.
- 1 lb ground beef (not lean as it does not make the best patties)
- 1 pkg blue cheese crumbles
- Hamburger seasoning (Chicago steak seasoning works well)
- 6 strips of bacon
- 3 hamburger buns
How to Make:
Step 1: Put the bacon on the stove to cook. Cook to desired crispness.
Step 2: While the bacon is cooking, season and mix the ground beef well. Form the ground beef into six patties.
Step 4: Pinch the edges of the patties to seal the cheese inside. Square the edges of the patties, making them smooth. (Indent the top of the patties with your thumb so the patties cook out evenly)
Step 5: Preheat the grill. Once the grill is warm, add the burgers. Cook the burger for one minute on each side to sear in the juices.
Step 6: Cook an additional 5-7 minutes on each side. Place each patty on the bun, add bacon and enjoy!
