Absolutely no gas in the vehicle. Filled it up and lost $100 in gas due to no reimbursement. Employee said they don't check for gas and obviously they don't check the vehicle at all. The Rep did not do a walk around with me as the customer, also the vehicle was rented to a previous customer and the fuel was not at the mark where the rep says it was. I tried to call numerous times and they refused to answer the phone, customer service is atrocious.Matt C.
Made an online reservation with a furniture dolly and when arrived at 9 am they explained their location wasn't a Uhaul location and sent me to another location where I had to wait 30 minutes to rent the furniture dolly. I did not get started moving until almost 11:30 am which caused my move not to be complete until after 5 pm and return the truck until 5:30 pm. The staff at Champion decided to charge me for two days which was not fault. The original anticipated invoice was $12 dollars and some cents but my final invoice was $61.24.Portia G.

This was the best experience with renting a storage facility. The staff have been wonderful from the start to closing the unit out. Not only will we use them again should we need to but we will also recommend them to anyone who needs something this. For the two times I've been there I've had to call a number on the door because no one is in the office. Office staff not very pleasant and offers very little information about pick up or returning the vehicle. Won't rent here again.Jacqueline W.

My guaranteed equipment was not ready at the scheduled time. No guarantee was offered for the delay. The Uhaul system was down resulting in a delay in getting equipment for about an hour. The equipment I ordered ( cargo can) was not returned by previous customer. Once system was back up, I was given a 10 ft truck as a replacement. The 10ft truck was too big for what I was picking up resulting in having to carry items down a pathway to load rather than being able to back up to a door. Also since I was delayed, I had to wait even longer to be checked out because the locations employee had left for break. This all resulted in me having to cancel an appointment I had with my business resulting in a potential loss of revenue for my company. I called Uhaul to find out a solution initially due to the system being down, and never reached a human being, then I tried the chat feature and it would not connect to anyone. I hope Uhaul and other companies realize how missteps in the operation can compound rapidly causing undue expenses to their customers.David H.
I was impressed that the two people working at Champion Self storage had on masks and there was hand sanitizer and a cup for new/used pens. Both reps were very friendly and helped me even when I could not pull up the reservation on my phone due to data connection problems. The woman was very patient, helpful, and professional. We returned the truck at 5 pm on Friday, April 1. Posted hours indicated they closed at 6 pm. There was a computer printed sign that said â€œAT LUNCHâ€ and the doors were locked. The facility has a huge parking lot, BEHIND a gated fence. We parked the 26' truck in the smaller lot and while we did not block any entrance it made the road into the entrance smaller. We called several times before arriving and there was no answer. Another customer there said they had been trying to get in since 1 pm. We used the app to return the truck with pics showing our rented items (dollies & pads) inside. I hope they were still inside the truck once an attendant ever moves the truck. We took a picture of me slipping key inside office at 5:17 with the â€œAT LUNCHâ€ note on door. I sincerely hope there is no issue with our return! This facility makes me hesitant to use UHaul again even though we have used y'all for 5 different moves!Michael P.

Be much clearer about expectations when you are picking up a vehicle using the mobile process. There was no equipment in the back. Granted, I was refunded by uhaul customer service for the amount, but the lack of communication and the fact the pick up location changed three times made for a poor experience.JOHN M.

Uhaul Truck driver door did not shut properly. Back rolling Cabin door was jammed and extremely hard to down. My reservation disappeared a couple of times and I had to keep repeating my information. It was frustrating because I was hot and breathing was difficult while wearing a mask. I had also expressed wanting the truck one way. I didn't pursue that issue because the check in was so lengthy. Now U-Haul got $162. That was too much.Celena R.

I was with this until since 2009 and I mate so many nice people. I had some good times with Terry which was there during the last years I rented. The rent got way out of hand for me to pay and just kept going up. The people was great and never gave me any problems and was helpful when I NEEDED them to make me feel happy but as I said the rent was just too high. I Rented a van for 5 hours and returned it to the store five hours later. The Manager on duty accepted the key to be checked out. She stated they would email me my receipt. Two days later I received my emailed receipt and noticed that I was charged for two extra days for the rental and charged two days insurance. Everything did turn out fine, but it was stressful when I couldn't get a hold of anyone in the office or over the phone for days at a time. I was stressing for nothing, as everything went through online just fine, but if there are adjusted hours, maybe it could be posted on the door for the week so we know when to come back (or call) if we need to talk to someone in person. They told me I had the one free month with U-Haul when I called from out of State, but when I actually got here they changed their mind. I was told the reason was other people wanted the unit, They wouldn't even pro rate my unit... Why did I pay for a whole month when. I only stayed 2 weeks... Reserved a truck from a location 2 minutes away from my apartment 3 weeks in advance. At 6:00 the night before I was supposed to pick up the truck, I got a notification saying that my truck reservation has been moved to a location 1 hour away from my apartment. I then proceeded to spend the next two and a half hours trying to resolve the issue over the phone and on the Uhaul website, which it never did. Driving to the pick up location and back added an unexpected 2 additional hours of travel to my day at the very last minute, on a day that I was already planning on traveling for 8 hours. Owner is greedy. Started at $135 a month in 2019. In 2 years the rent went up 240%. It was $325 at the start of 2021. Same as stealing to me. With the pandemic and the tight job market, raising someone's rent over 240% is just not right. You reap what you sow. On a side note, light in unit never worked, there was always trash right inside my door blown in there by the grounds keeper and had a water leak at the end. The truck drove like it had transmission issues. I had to pull over twice to let it reset so I could drive it without the engine reving high. The $29 rental for 32 miles ended up costing $112. I will do something different next time. They make it where you have to get the insurance otherwise you have to pay for the trucks downtime if it gets a flat tire. There was no one there when I turned the truck in, so I could not get my receipt or discuss the charges. I put gas in the truck and the charged me for gas anyway.Darsha E.

Also there was a hard time finding transport carts in the buildings to take items to storage unit-i'm disabled and was on 2nd floor. Access hours were till 6 pm.
