I believe they charged me mileage & I replaced the gas, so I'm not sure if that applies when I only had the truck for 5 hours & stayed in Fresno. Which would have been a local rental?!

We then had to wait for a rude customer with no reservation before we were helped, though we did have a reservation. Not good business practice.

Ofelia G.The truck almost killed me twice because the brakes made me change lanes. Truck was dirty with trash, fuel gauge was late, and the transmission was messed up. Did not shift to overdrive or final gear while grinding in first. Why pay for insurance when your trucks almost killed me.
Brian P.I needed a small box truck last minute for a few hours. It was already reserved for that afternoon but they called and asked if the other guy could push it back. He said yes and I was able to take care of my last minute emergency. I really appreciated their help and kindness.

This added more stress to an already stressful moving day. Everything else was perfect. I would use them again, but add a half hour for expected delay.

Nicole A.Pick up was moved from Fresno to Clovis. This took us 30 minutes out of our way in both directions costing roughly an hour. This caused me to be late returning home for a work appointment which I had to cancel, this ended in me losing $120 in fees. Obviously this is extremely frustrating.

DWAYNE P.Customer Service is very rude. They tell you one thing and then when you return the U Haul they deny saying it. I would rent somewhere else these people think they can treat customers any way they want. Beware of the woman behind the counter she will follow you out to continue being rude and making comments.
BETTY C.Open earlier so people can start their moving days earlier. Explain the fees to be charged, the tax, the environmental fee. Point out where the flasher switch is; it took me a long time to locate it, and I even called another U-Haul renter (I had their phone number.) to try to locate it.

DEREK H.My appointment was set for a 9AM pickup. The first employee arrived after 9 and after finding the first 26' truck was "down in their system" I needed to be swapped into another truck. As I had already completed the online check in and was the only customer on site, I should have been able to depart quickly, however due to the lack of personnel in the office and the slow response of the team on site, I did not depart until just before 10AM.
Matthew G.The pick up location staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, and organized. However, I am frustrated my reservation was changed the day before a difficult move. I had to drive an extra 8 miles to pick up the truck from a different location, several hours after my original reservation was scheduled for. This made my moving day even more stressful. Additionally, I had to drive to a second location to pick up the trailer. When I spoke with Uhaul customer service about this, I felt the employee was somewhat rude. When gas is nearly $5 per gallon in CA, driving the extra miles adds up, not to mention being behind schedule be several hours.
