Asked to have monthly billing sent to my home in another state and they can’t do that. Why can’t they is the question I would like answered still.

It started acting up half way to our destination to the point where we were concerned whether or not the truck was even going to make it to our final destination. Extremely bumpy ride with the truck more than likely needing the shocks replaced - the truck overall seemed like it needed to be retired! Worst experience EVER!! Charged $4500 for a truck that barely made it, and was in ABSOLUTE horrible shape mechanically. I can't even believe that uhaul would put a customer into a truck that was that unsafe!!!

Jon H.One of the containers had front locking compared to the second that had the locking on the side. The front locking hook was screwed onto the container with screws so large that it stopped the latch from being flesh with the container. Because the latch stopped half way, it partially blocked the hook making placing my lock into the hook impossible. One of the screws had to be removed in order for lock to be placed. Going forward, use the locking mechanism that locks on the side of container not the front.

Not only did they mess up my reservation three times I was told on the phone I would get 215 miles and when I returned it I found out I only had 190 miles. When I went to call customer service I was told to call different numbers and put on hold several times. Because they changed the pick up location because they did not have a vehicle ready like they said they would they changed my mileage without informing me. Yes I understand it's on the paper but when you're in a hurry because you have to move your whole house things tend to get over looked. However, I feel it is the responsibility of the vendor to let the consumer know that it's changed. Both facilities for dropping off and picking up were nice and the customer service was excellent. However I was told on the phone when I made the reservation it was one thing and when I dropped it off I was told another. They say that the calls are recorded go back and find the recording and refund me my money. I'm just disgusted with this company. The lack of communication within the call centers is ridiculous.

Jacquie S.I was advised that it would take 2 - 2-1/2 weeks for my Uboxes to arrive in Grand Junction, CO. I was told that after they arrived I would be notified by text message or email that the Uboxes were available to be picked up. After waiting patiently for 4 weeks and not receiving any notifications, I contacted Uhaul in Grand Junction. My telephone call was transferred 5 times as the customer services representatives worked diligently to locate my Uboxes. Finally it was determined that my Uboxes were in LONG TERM storage. No one could explain why I was not notified when the Uboxes arrived in Grand Junction so that I could pick them up or why they were in long term storage. Basil, the manager in Grand Junction, was very accommodating and made arrangements for me to pick up the Uboxes the following day. The tracking system needs to improved so that customers know where the Ubox containers are in the transportation process (like UPS or FedEx) and customers need to be notified when the Uboxes arrive at their destination. Customers should not have to spend time and effort tracking down the Ubox containers.

John V.We were guaranteed 2 u-boxes reserved for over a month, but when the time came, there were no boxes to be had! We even got a confirmation email the morning of the 29th. It was a stressful, awful experience!!! We had to rent a 15' truck instead, but when we went outside to get it, it was gone - so we had to get a 10 footer which left not enough space, leading to having to give up some of our belongings. I was told from costumer service over a week ago that I would be getting something on my other email (janbmartin@gmail.com), but that did not come either! I want compensation for this horrible experience! We spent more money due to hotel stays and gas.

Doug C.This was the worst experience!!! Although the staff was friendly, no one was able to resolve my issues. I was consistently over charged, told my containers were lost, had my shipment split 7/3 when it went across country resulting in a large bill. I spent hours on hours trying to get my issues resolved and pushed from customer service to U-box and back. We finally did get all our containers, but then took over a week past the original pick up date for them to be picked up due to a broken truck. I am still extremely frustrated about the amount of over billing that occurred, which no one can seem to fix. It's always another group, no matter who you talk to. I've moved across the country using U-box in the past and while I had to do some extra calling to get everything shipped together, nothing like this complete nightmare of a disaster! Please… fix my billing or have a billing department at corporate someone could call to review the accounts.

Marigelle M.Make sure you check your bank statement after returning the truck. They double charged me on top of charging $50 for gas when we returned it after driving only 7 miles and at the exact mark it was at when we picked it up. They did refund all the charges once I called.
JENNIFER P.I always have a good experience. Is time I picked up a tow Dolly and reached my destination 25 mile away from U-Haul location. After loading the car noticed the tires on the dolly was showing steel. NOT SAFE ! Had my 2 year old son with me. Please inspect your Equipment better

I had to wait for only a few minutes behind a couple other customers, yet the clerk took the time to acknowledge me and assure me that I'd been seen and someone was on the way to help me. When I returned the truck, I needed some additional supplies. While I was looking around, the clerk offered to help, but I said no. He immediately went to work picking things up around the store. As soon as I was ready to check out, he noticed without me saying anything, put down what he was doing and quickly came to help. This is my 3rd time renting from this location and I've always been impressed. Keep up the great work and great job finding such great people!

Terry W. | First ImpressionsToo small for RVs and camper trailers; they try to squeeze too many units into a small area. Because the area is so small, it is very difficult to back a 30’ trailer into the spot, especially with a 21’ truck besides, and all the while trying to avoid the structure poles, other units on each side, and the motor homes or trailers parked on the opposite row. We tried but had to cancel our contract and go to the much bigger Uhaul place on Hunt Road in SanTan.

Lilian T. | First ImpressionsRented 10 x 25 foot rv space online for a move in date of 6/19/21. Upon arrival informed they have a 10 x 20 spot. Staff stated nothing they could do to help, take it or leave it. I had just purchased the trailer that day and had expectation it was to be stored in safe location. The spot was advertised as covered however 1/3 trailer was uncovered. I was able to secure a spot in a different storage facility the following day and moved the trailer less then 24 hours after we arrived at uhaul. I spent 120$ for 18-20 hours of storage in a site. The 2 young men on duty were poorly trained, one young man was trying very hard to find a solution but appeared subordinate to the second young man and that young man never looked us in the eye and simply said it’s not our problem, the reservation system never works and does not guarantee you what you rented and take it or leave it. I trusted the reservation to have a spot to park my brand new trailer at, I could not just leave it on the street. Not many options late afternoon on an Saturday afternoon on a reservation I made well in advance

William M. | First ImpressionsWhen I called regarding my reservation at a different U-Haul location and they told me my reservation was no longer valid because my spot was already taken by someone, I went into panic mode because my husband was driving back with the boat at that very moment. The staff at that other location was very cold and couldn't be bothered to try to make things right. I found this spot on a chance the next morning and called as soon as I could and spoke with Alisha Padilla who was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and making my experience with U-Haul much better than the last one. When we got to the U-Haul location, Alisha had already left for the day, but two young men were there who were also just as pleasant and were very helpful. I didn't get their names, but they should be recognized for their exceptional customer service as well.
