Location was entirely understaffed. Just one cashier at the gas station to help me get my car on the tow trailer and attach it to the truck. And the poor guy had to keep running back inside to help gas station customers. I also had to check in over the phone because he wasnt trained to check out a uhaul. And the person he called took like 20 minutes to pick up. the tow trailer was in horrible condition too. the ratchets and straps were really difficult for him to tighten and then almost impossible for the attendant at the drop off location to loosen. Overall my entire uhaul experience took an extra 3 hours that it shouldn't have.Tony H.

The experience I had with Uhaul was unsatisfactory. I reserved a 20' truck in October 2020 and was quoted $1,400 to my destination. My move was pushed back until February 2021 and the price went up to $4,200. I also had a hand truck and moving blankets reserved at the Uhaul in my city. They weren't able to accommodate me and have a truck at the location I place the reservation and had to travel an hour and a half just to get the truck and they didn't have the moving blankets. Went to their store to rent some and they didn't have any for rent and had to purchase the them. I was disappointed with the lack of planning and material for the price.ALBERT S.

Cabin was dirty and made a loud noise when I hit the freeway. We couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from. But I thought people were honking at me while I was driving. I would rent again though. It did what it was meant to do and thats all that matters. Also the area where you put your stuff was not swept out when we got it. Not a huge deal.Victor Q.

The outside of the van was dusty, but this is rural farming community where everything gets dusty, lol. Checkout (picking up truck) took longer than I would have expected. I was tended to immediately, but I did not complete the 3rd step of online check in process myself, apparently. Check in (turn in of truck) was very fast, just dropping off the key. There were no superfluous charges and the daily rate and mileage were as advertised for the 10' truck. I was hoping for a 15' foot truck, but again, this is a rural location so there is limited availability. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend. But, if you need the space of a larger van, be prepared to travel. My moving stuff was local, so more trips wasn't a problem to offset that.Cord H.

Unfortunately, the Soledad location is not well managed - as the convient store cashier was alone and had no uHaul/secondary assistance. She stated she'd been there alone since 3AM the previous night... Although it was a bit of a wait, we understood it was not her fault the additional cashier had not shown up - but you could tell she was stressed having to do multiple jobs at once (refill shelves, cashier the convience store, take money for gas AND assist the two Uhaul pick-up reservations waiting outside)... she deserves a raise!JESSAMYNE S.

I was quoted a rate of $19.95/day and $0.99/mile over the telephone. (I was indicated that the call was being recorded, check the tape.) When I checked the written agreement at the time of pickup, the rate was $23,99/day and $1.23/mile.john R.
