The u-haul app is awful and I tried a self-checkin for 30-minutes. Fortunately, the on site staff showed up and got me all settled. He was great.

Office was not obvious with signage. Employee was not well trained with computer system. Delayed 1 hour from my pick up time due to incompetence and not being able to get keys to truck. Had to switch trucks to a messy uncleaned truck. Overall poor communication skills.

My appointment was changed to this location, and the staff, as as evidenced by the numerous Google reviews stating the same thing, we're not prepared to receive customers at the proper pickup time. So, my order was not delivered on time. Furthermore, I ordered six blankets online, and when the truck was being signed over the staff refused to count the blankets before leaving and charged for 12 but there were only 10. As a consequence of their ineptitude, I was charged $16 for two missing blankets that were never there to begin with nor were they requested. The staff at this terrible location also had no record of my booking so everything had to be redone repeatedly wasting my time. This was a terrible experience and I will never use you all again. Thank you. The only people I would recommend this location to would be people whom I hate.

The 15’ truck I got was fine, I wish there was a way to use real straps in the truck though, those wooden bars are garbage. I asked for a dolly when I filled out my reservation online, but when I got the truck I had no dolly in it and the person working was gone and there was no way to contact him, so that was annoying. I don’t know how this location runs or operates, but if customers have issues, you should have someone present at the station. Made our move a hell of a lot tougher without proper equipment.

They charged me extra 20 dollars Without any reason nobody informed me about drop off. They did everything on call and told me to drop keys off. And after they charged me 20 extra dollars for no reason.

I was a little overwhelmed about doing the checkout and checkin procedure on my smart phone when I had to pickup and return the truck when nobody was there, but the agent at 2838 Garden St. Abbotsford worked with me on the phone and it worked out very well. I really appreciate how cost effective it was to use U-Haul for this move.

The lock on the key lockbox was a challenge to open up. I had to play around with it for a minute or two before i eventually got it open.

I requested in person service to avoid submitting documents online and to be served by a person. I got a call after I booked telling me that I would have to get the truck keys via lock box and submit everything over my phone which I don't like doing. The guy called me and said he has to serve me over the phone because he had to go to the USA. The location said open until 2pm and I got there at 130 and the location was closed to in person service. Would rent from Uhaul again but not from this location. The truck was clean and well maintained.

Despite booking online last night had to wait 30 + minutes for the truck due to a computer failure. Truck worked fine but was not clean. Service felt odd: location and person providing service appear to be multi functional where the truck rental is secondary to another type of business operating from the same location. Odd all together.

Friendly staff worked on their day off to make sure the vehicle was ready to go. We didn't get the size of truck we wanted but were upgraded to the next size up for the same price. Great service.

I returned the vehicle by 5:00 pm and they wrote in the receipt at 10:45pm to put an extra charge for one more day. Is This how you rip off how many people..???? Please check the cameras and give these guys a lesson. Thanks

Horrible customer service — was literally hung up on twice while trying to get the key. For being such a well established and renown international company; both your services to acquire a vehicle, and your customer service are absolutely abysmal. I will never be using your services again. Now I understand why you all have 2.5—3.0 star ratings on Google.

I booked a 26’ truck for 7 am. It was not ready. I called an Abbotsford location. They were plain old stupid and hung up on me. I called 3 different U-Haul places finally got someone named Courtney. She was very helpful. After 3.5 hrs of waiting and on the phone with uhaul she got me a 10’. I had to be moved out of my house at 12 noon. This was a huge nightmare.

Van cab interior was dirty - cigarette butts on the floor and had been smoked in, floor was muddy, upholstery dirty. Did not get a message to say my reservation would be online app only, it took time to download app and follow stops. Overall good experience and did the job. will use U Haul again. Thanks

The pick up itself was fine. But when I tried to use the U-Haul app to pick up the truck it was a terrible experience. I couldn’t use the app to complete the online check in.

No space to park the truck. Poorly lit. Then the app wouldn't let me upload photos to check it in. Took 3 times to get it to work.

Have online booking that actually works. Poor guy at this location had to drive in 45 minutes to help me because the U-Haul app and website confirmed my booking but it never entered the system! If I wasn't able to contact him directly I would have missed my move day. Brutal.

The staff was friendly and the truck was available. However they did not have the dolly I needed. This made the first part of my move incredibly hard. I had to reach out to customer support at uhaul to get me a dolly. If they don't have an item let us know so we can go to a different location.

We got charged an after hours service fee after dropping off the rental directly in front of the attendant. When confronted, we were initially told that Saturday isn’t a typical work day?!?!? Then it was because we dropped it off late… yet my husband was told by the attendant to just put the keys in the drop box. We dropped it off around 2 pm and the website said they are open until 4 pm. So not impressed!

I booked to pick up at the marine drive location and drop off at Bradner road. After I paid the location details changed to pick up at 968 w king Edward. Then half way through the day my drop off location changed to garden street. Very confusing and disorganized but ultimately worked out ok. Just some feed back for you.

Pickup was 4:45 no one was there. When I called the number on the door the person said key is in lock box. I had to wait exact 1 hour 15 minutes in heavy rain to get that key from the lock box. And got late from where i had to pickup my stuff, returned back. Definitely would ask for a concession for the inconvenience. I called both store numbers twice today and no one answered. As yesterday the person said he will give concession for the inconvenience caused. No response yet. Highly dissatisfied

Gas level low light came on 5 minutes out of the parking lot. The truck I was given shook violently at 50km/hr and over. By far the most mechanically unsafe thing I’ve ever driven.

Contract shows being charged .89 c per mile yet I was charged 1.43 / per mile incurring extra 350.00$ in charges. Also said I used their pads @ 5/per 6 pads charging me 25$ so apparently I used 30 pads when I used 0 and the truck only comes with 6.. I feel like I'm getting ripped off and will be filing a complaint for sure.. not even gonna get started on the illegal environmental fee they charge which is just free money for them at that point. I will personally never use uhaul again.

The location was clean but the people weren't helpful. I had questions about my return and they refused to help me as they "didn't deal with uhaul". They told me to go outside and call the number for help with my questions. I was very displeased with this since they clearly deal with uhaul since they are a pick up drop off location but no one felt they should have to help me.
