U Haul employee did not assist with removing trailer from my vehicle. Was more involved with yelling at construction workers who parked in his parking spots. Told me to drop it off at another location because he did not want to deal with me. Had me park it in mud while raining.

Owner or manager was very unprofessional. Trying to run a gas station and a uhaul rental facility. Didn’t do a walk around the truck. Didn’t check mileage. Didn’t check gas. Gas was on empty when I got in the truck. I put gas in the truck and I drove a total of 21 miles. I was accused of lying when I returned the truck. He told me the tank was half full and I said it had a 10th of a tank and I put $15 in gas and left it with a 1/4 tank. He basically called me a liar and said the email he sent me showed half a tank. I said yes it did but it wasn’t correct. When I got my final bill, my final bill said I left it with half a tank which I only left it with 1/4. So the next person who rents it is going to be accused of the same thing. Terrible customer service. I want a refund of $65. I called and submitted a complaint as well. We will be looking for a moving truck this summer for a 1200 mile move. This experience makes it very hard to trust uhaul again.

This location was at a gas station and there were no clear visible signs to depict that it was also a Uhaul rental facility. It was dirty and run down. The only reason we realized we were in the right spot was because we saw another Uhaul truck parked in the grass. The clerk at the front desk was not friendly, he was short tempered and rude and seemed annoyed that we were returning the truck here. There was no direction on where to park the Uhaul and the clerk acted like we should have automatically known. This was not a pleasant experience.

Rented this truck from a gas station/convenience store which was a bit strange. After I was done my credit card was fraudulently used for several purchases resulting in having to close it and spend lots of time on the phone with the bank. This was the only place I have used this card in recent days aside from my normal monthly utility payments.

The truck was in poor condition. The rear tires were almost bald, when I addressed my concerns with the person checking the truck out, they just responded it will be OK. The interior of the cab was dirty.

I was called at 2 pm from this location stating they were closing at 2pm and needed me come I immediately to pick up the rental even though the website stated they close at 6 pm. He did not tell me the location where he was and so I went to the location I previously scheduled only to find the pick up location had changed without my knowledge. When I arrived the person there did not have paperwork ready. When we went out to inspect the rental we found a naked homeless man inside. The police were called. As I drove away the rental engine began to run rough and the check engine light came on. Since the location was already closed I drove to my original location to exchange the rental. When I arrived to my original pick up location they told me and showed me that the rental trailer had not been connected correctly.

This was not my scheduled pick up place. I was called at 2 pm from this place stating he was closing up for the day. I rushed over to the place I scheduled pick up to find out the location had changed without my notice. Rushed over to new location and found a naked homeless man in the back. The police were called. Left this location and on the way home the engine began to sputter and the check engine light came on. Since pick up location was now closed, I drove to the location I wanted to pick up in the first place. The Personel there were friendly and helpful (Thanks Andrew). I wasn’t able to get an alternate vehicle till the next day. However, Andrew got me a very nice alternate truck with low miles.

Your website needs a better support staff. The site was down and it took almost 2hrs to get the car transporter I rented even though I had a reservation and checked in online.

Omg retuning uhaul at drop off was a very horrible idea. The custodian was a little freindlier than the stire owner/clerk. Kep telling clerk i was there to drop off.. he seemed lost abd unaware of protocol... ge was rude too. Just horrible

I was at first disappointed because they did not have a dolly I requested, but it worked out because it forced me to buy one which I find out I need one not just for the two days but for the rest of my life, having a dolly makes moving stuff around the house very easy.

Firstly, my pickup location was changed without my consent, so it was an inconvenience. Then, the location I was sent to did not have the appliance dolly I had reserved. I called customer service, and was sent to two other placed that did not have any. It was a waste of 2 additional hours and many additional miles for my move. The attendant at the pipck-up location also charged us insurance, despite the fact that my reservation did not include it, since I selected NO Insurance. We had to wait for him to void the transaction to start over. Basically, everything I did online to get my reservation was undone before I even picked up the vehicle. It was very frustrating.

When I arrived the gentlemans computer. Did not work. So he called someone named James and we completed the reservation over the phone he also stated he would give me an extra day since the The store did not have a appliance dolly even though I did the reservation 2 weeks prior. I. Ever received the extra 42 miles for the extra day and had to pay for the mileage.

Store owner was very rude. Used 1/4 tank. Charged me $40 for the gas and $30 for the service to fill it up at the gas station he owns! I would have filled it up myself if he would have informed me of charge when I brought it back early. Also, bitched about folding up 12 blankets which i paid cash for. Said it took him over 30 minutes! Bet uncle sam doesn't know that he is taking cash for services. Will not use this location again.

The lady at the store had no clue what was going on and apparently her husband which is supposed to be the main contact was nowhere to be found. She had to end up calling another location to access the rental and have someone else do it. So upon renting I had to go out myself and hook it up and check the wiring and accessories. Low and be hold, it had no wiring harness, no safety chains and she had no clue what to do. So I proceeded to take the trailer to another reputable UHaul location (Grissom Rd.) and they took care of everything without hesitation.

***DO NOT RETURN OR RENT HERE*** First off, all the positive reviews on this location are fake or one of the owners family members/friends. He did the same things to me that I have read multiple times in other complaints.I used to go to this gas station on occasion back in the day and the owner has always been rude, so I wasn't looking forward to bringing the equipment back there. He comes running out of the Exxon the moment I pull up and tells me he will not take the truck and trailer because he "has no room for them" There are multiple parking spots for both, so I tell him, "this is the destination that the other U-haul scheduled me to drop them off." He keeps saying he will not take it and arguing with me, then has a customer go in his store so he tells me to park in one of the 4 open spots and unhook the trailer myself. So I do all this and go inside and have to wait in line at the cash register while he checks gas station customers out. Once I get to the front he tells me to go take a picture of the miles and fuel level on the truck and the number on the trailer. So I reluctantly go do this and come back in to wait behind another customer. Then he writes everything on a piece of receipt paper and does not give me any form of receipt that I returned the equipment. Then low and behold I get an email that I went over their allotted miles, which is no big deal, but they sent me a form that I was obviously supposed to sign before leaving. The form asked if I damaged the truck and all the standard stuff but it also asked me for authorization to charge my card which I obviously did not give. I would have no problem paying the $1.76 I owed, but the fact that I did not give him authorization to charge my account really makes me angry. U-Hual Should seriously reconsider letting this gas station owner franchise with them. ***DO NOT RETURN OR RENT HERE***

Not only was the pick-up location changed without UHaul notifying me, but the man that rented the truck to me was rude and did not have all of the rental equipment that I had reserved. The truck was not clean and was damaged. He did not do a walk around the truck and did not give me my copy of the contract or the correct paperwork or information required. There was a storm that night in San Antonio after my truck had been loaded and some of my belongs were soaked due to the damaged truck. When I returned the truck to a facility in Plano, I made them aware of the damage, they told me to call Uhaul customer service and Repwest to make an insurance claim since I did purchase the additional insurance to protect my belongings. Not only has Uhaul not done what they have said they were going to do, it was bare minimum and the representative James that I spoke with in San Antonio was rude and not very helpful, but the representative Robert from Repwest has not answered any of my calls or emails. This occurred on 7/16/17, I notified both companies on 7/17/17 via phone because I was unable to get in touch with anyone on the evening of the 16th since it was a Sunday. It's been now over a week and nothing has been resolved. This was a horrible, inconvenient, waste of time and money. On top of all of that, I was told by the Uhaul rep James, that the truck was not repaired in any way and was rented out again, so this problem can just continue to occur to other customers and they can also continue to just get the run around.

Several things led to my dissatisfaction. Started when the truck I reserved at the Lockaway Storage facility wasn't there and I wasn't notified by uhaul. I was dropped off so I would have been stuck there if not for Jordan who was the only redeeming factor of my entire experience. He was kind enough to find a truck and drive me over to the place that it was parked. However, there wasn't actually a uhaul person at the Exxon gas station on bowens crossing, I had to talk to the gas station clerk (who seemed very annoying that I was bothering him) who called some guy who then completed the rental agreement over the phone with me. The gas station guy had me sign the rental slip but he literally had no idea what he was doing and other than an email confirmation I never actually signed anything. (Seemed quite odd, but I was in a rush and already an hour and half behind at this point). Upon returning the truck to the same Exxon the next day I basically had to pull teeth to get the gas station clerk to let me drop off the truck. He initially came out of the store told my friend who was helping me there wasn't any spots and to go away. Well, there was just enough room to park the truck had he looked for half a second so I pulled it in and went inside to give him the keys. Again the Exxon clerk seemed incredulous that I would even think about returning the truck to the place I got it from the previous day. And again, never actually talked to anyone who was authorized by uhaul to do any of this. Needless to say it was a long day of moving and I was exhausted and this experience will definitely make me think twice about using your services again.

Add some additional description for this store; there are 2 "corner stores" in the vicinity. The only difference is this one is the "1604 Corner store". It would be helpful to add something like "Chevron station on the southeast (?) corner of 1604 frontage rd and bowen's crossing".

They are rude and only ever have one person to run their store and the rental. So I had to do everything myself. There was no check before I drove out, I just hot the keys and had to figure out which truck it was. When I came back I had to go back twice to snap pictures of the meters, because they didn't tell me to do it and I was in a rush. They were rude.

I had a confirmed reservation to pick up the trailer at 8:00 am. The "Uhaul" person did not begin work until 9:30 am. I had to wait an hour and a half to get the trailer.

This location was convenient since it was close to home. I recommend patience and not being in a hurry because the attendant has to continue ringing up sales at the register as he helps you with your rental. Over all it took about 30 minutes to complete the process including the trailer hook up. Also, if you need help hooking up the trailer or prefer leaving it to the professionals I would recommend a full service location since the attendant is limited because he is busy inside the store. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this location and will personally use again if the need arises.

Was treated very badly. He told me I had to wait cause his regular customer was his priority and how he lost 2 customers because of me!!! Told me I can bring it back any time but did. It tell me no one could give me a receipt after 2 pm. Very very bad place and I don't think (unless I'm desperate I would rent from Uhaul again). Very disappointed. I've had excellent service with Penskeys next time I will stick with them. It was an unbelieveable experience. Oh by the way they seem to change there tone when my son came in the store.

The check engine light was on. The owner was busy and said it was fine. We also weren't given enough miles to complete the move. The owner had me call to fix this. It was approved by U-Haul for an additional 20 miles however they did not update my reservation. I had to call again when I dropped it off. Won't use Uhaul again.

The order that was fulfilled was NOT the order I placed online. I requested a one-way truck online and was told when I went to pick it up that location only rents trucks that are to be returned to that location. Then I was charged mileage and gas at $5/gallon to return the truck and had to drive an hour across town & have a friend follow me to take me an hour back to my new house. Hence the reason I requested a one-way truck when I placed the order. I requested 2 dollies when I placed the order online. When I went to pickup, I was told there was only 1 dolly, as the owner rented the other one out earlier that morning. Also, I was charged $25 fine for not folding the blankets when I was told to return them all, not fold them. When I returned the truck with the blankets and dolly, the owner wasn’t there. I was told I had to go back out to the truck to take a picture of the mileage and gas because the man working the counter couldn’t leave to check the truck himself. He wrote, on a piece of scratch paper, my name, number, truck number, mileage, gas, date, and time returned. I asked for a receipt and he told me I could take a picture of that paper. I never did receive any type of receipt other than the picture of the handwritten notes I took. This was the absolute WORST Uhaul experience I’ve ever had. I hope Uhaul chooses to take action and do the right thing to make this experience better. I should not have to pay for half of the mileage and gas since I ordered a one-way truck and ended up having to return it. What good is it to place an order online if it’s going to be completely changed when you pick it up at the location on the day of your move?!

I did tge "express check in" and asked for pickup of 26' truck be available at the Grissom location a week or more ago. Even though they had trucks there, they made me go to a gas station to pick up truck and manager there did not know how to understand my express check in. Then we had to go to the Grissom location for all the items I checked on the express check in. Not happy.

All worked out very well and I am very pleased with the experience. Check in-in at the store was a bit slow and if there were other store customers (it is a gas station/convenience store), this could have been an issue. However, I will definitely use again and look forward to the place having more choices like flat-beds and/or trailers
