This drop off location was a keybox within a barber shop, that would have been helpful to know ahead of time so I knew what to look for.
LORI AThis wasn't the location I had requested to drop off at, and as I was moving to Chicago from St. Paul, not familiar with where this location was, or how far away it was from where I was moving to. It took almost an hour and a half to get back to my apartment on public transit. Additionally, there is no designated parking for the U-hauls and it's not immediately clear that the drop-off process is to just find a spot on a nearby street and drop the keys. Conceptually, the idea of drop the truck and keys and go is great, but in practice this location doesn't facilitate that very well. Further, I had an issue with the truck and when I called U-haul, I was told to talk to the team at the drop-off location since I was there. However, the drop-off is a box outside of a barber, and the barber shop was closed so I was unable to talk to anyone in person and get help.
Scott HI was told that I would receive a $50 credit towards my rental since the truck I rented was returned on time and took two hours out of my day. U-Haul just charged me $61.58 a month after my rental. Very shady company with low life business practices.
Jordan RNo key code for lock box so I had to drop it off in the Blades 2 mailbox. Very confusing and unhelpful.
Matthew EAGAIN - This was not the location I booked. Not being from Chicago I had no idea about the neighborhood that Uhaul switched me to for the drop-off. There was NO LOT - I just had to find a location on the street. There was NO drop box and 2 bladz was closed. This was not a safe neighborhood. Also - I was unable to use public transportation to get back to my hotel due to the new location and had to pay for an uber. There is a reason people chose certain locations for pick up and drop off and you should either honor that or don’t let the renter pick those locations in the first place if not available.
Jill HOdd location at a barber shop. No parking, had to find parking down the street.
Marc PThere’s a key drop box but it’s locked with a padlock with no information on what the code is to place the key into. Had to leave it with the store as they wouldn’t pick up any of my phone calls after hours. So again, this process is extremely broken.
Ryan SThe business owner should ask if the customer has an existing reservation or making a new reservation
Robert G2 Bladez does not have the parking required for a UHaul location. If a location does not have private parking available and is requiring users to park in the street (its metered parking on North), then it should not be available for 24/7. I had to call uhaul twice again while out in the dark and cold for this location because there was no free parking nearby the frop off location and then once I found parking, the app/website crashed and I was not able to get the key-code for the key dropoff box. I will not try Uhaul 24/7 ever again.
Andrew KI lost 2 hours because the first location never open and item was not available
