I was disappointed I had to pick up the truck at a liquor store instead at the U-Haul location I made the reservation That location was inconvenient and further from my house. When I tried to make plans to pick up the truck, I called the phone number U-Haul gave me (916)978-1457 A very rude (asian) person answered, I could hardly understand what he said. I called again twice and he did not answer. I am a senior person and the process was not as simple as I expected. Fortunately my son was with me and that helped. Ms. Kara was very patient and kind. Also, the truck was not clean inside the cabin.

truck smelled foul. the key was lost. the owner didn’t know where it was nor how to get it. i was delayed 30 minutes and waited outside in the cold because he said, “it will be 5 minutes” that turned into 30. very disappointed in them

The lock box was very difficult to get into. Also the truck that we originally requested was not what were able to drive off the lot that day, despite it being available..

despite the fact that I confirmed with the pick up location less than an hour prior, when I came to pick up the vehicle I was told all of their Uhauls were "out of service". I could see two of them in the front parking lot. Despite showing them my reservation, I hd to leave without the Uhaul. This was frustrating as we needed to pick up and then immediately load furniture to move 500 miles away the following day. I then got a hold of someone on the phone with Uhaul who instructed me to "walk around the building until I see little black boxes that have keys in them". Upon finding those little black boxes, they were all wide open. There were no keys in any of them. Finally, someone from the store came out while on his cell phone, unlocked the "return keys here" box, handed me a key and pointed to the vehicle. It was not clean. The next day I got an email from Uhaul saying my reservation was cancelled (despite the fact that I had the vehicle). When I called, they had no idea which vehicle I had. It was a mess! And a huge waste of time at a time when I was really busy!!

Poor communication. I thought the new location I was supposed to pick up allowed me to work with someone in person. Instead I picked up via the app in the back of a liquor store and the truck was parked right in front of a bush filled with bugs. The app was also not working appropriately. My materials I ordered were not in the truck. Will not recommend this location to anyone.
