I reserved a 20ft truck several days in advance and opted to drive 2.5 hours round trip to to pick up the truck as our local U-Haul only had 15 and 26ft trucks available and one was too small and one was much too large. When I arrived to pick up the truck I was advised that they didn't actually have anymore 20ft trucks and actually only had a 26ft truck available, again much larger than necessary and required more gas which meant more money I had to put out and then it didn't even have a full tank of gas. I was not called with a heads up or offered an apology for this inconvenience or the $50 that the U-haul Guarantee stated would be given in the event that the equipment reserved was not available on the day of pick-up and I actually had already paid for the truck prior to picking it up. Also, I had selected the 24/7 truck share option to have a contactless experience because of the spike in Covid-19 variants in our region and this was apparently not an option because they did not have my reserved and paid for truck. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed with the service received and the unplanned for extra cash I had to put out. And then, after I dropped the truck off at a different location, the person I dealt with quibbled with me over the amount of gas left in the truck, where it was filled to just over a half a tank of gas just like it was when I picked it up. I have since received a charge for like $1.70 for going just 4 miles over the allotted mileage. That money is not an issue, but the service was so subpar that I do not feel inclined to use U-Haul again in the future for our moving needs in the future or recommend them to anyone else moving forward.ASHTON BROOKE H.

The location we rented the trailer from went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Including a late pick up and replacing a blown fuse in my truck (at no charge to me) to make sure we had all lights working. The sign and the website said it opened at 08:30 am on Friday, June 14. I showed up to return the truck at 08:50 am and the business was closed. If you have business hours then keep them. So I reluctantly used the drop box. So I did not have an opportunity to explain the issues with this rental.Richard M.
I called to request an early return but the place was closed. Imagine my surprise when the guy called back a few minutes later because he noticed I called! He was super helpful. Wish I could give him 10 stars! I know we could have used the app to return, but we weren't sure we could disconnect the trailer without assistance. Very very happy with the service!Charles S.

It was a horrible experience both through UHAUL ( same on you) No customer service untill I made 4 ( on hold) phone calls. The truck breaks down the night before pickup " dont call or message the customer to tell them the truck is broke down and you will have to call and waite for two hours before you can find someone!!!!" Then send us 45mins the other way to get a uhaul 5ft. Shorter than what we reserved ( which created another trip, oh dont worry we managed). No apologies, No help with the missing 5feet. Thank goodness the people to help us were very understanding!! Not happyRoxanne T.

Provide equipment that lives up to its advertised capabilities. Do eveything possible to accommodate the customer in a crisis due directly to the equipment. Make sure that all dealers and presidents of each district are willing and dutifully obligated to assist each other for greater customer satisfaction and care. Make available upon request updated and current service records for the equipment to better allow the customer to make an educated decision on which equipment to rent. There are a host of other issues that are to many to type, if Uhaul would like to know they can contact me.Ken H.

Owners failed to comply with hours of operation. Arrived at opening time to a locked building. After 30 mins, called another location in this very remote area, who was able to reach the owner. Office clerk failed to show for work. Owner arrived after another 25 mins., then office clerk showed up 10 mins. after that. I was not the only customer left waiting.alysa T.

You need more 26' trucks in Marquette, I rent a lot of trucks from you to move in and out of my Halloween stores and I had to drive all the way to champion to get my truck. I reserve a truck and than I get a call all the time from Uhaul saying they don't have one available, I have to get a 20' truck which is not big enough and increases my payroll because we have to load up more often and drive longer.Gail L.

The Greenville mi 48838 location where the rental originated was poor. They did not explain the process and charges . I also had my reservation lost and then there was no trucks in the pick up town. It was a mess , I did get discount but some council on the charges and how the process worked would have helped allot. The lady was nice but not very informative.JON M.

I think just cause it's winter it would be good to offer a free towel because of the snow but it was a really good experience otherwise. So friendly.Allison C.
I reserved a trailer in Sault Ste Marie, there was no trailer in SSM. But I was offered a 15-foot truck in Kincheloe 25 miles away. Which caused me to need another driver and to pay for fuel for the truck. I handled all that very well. The customer service representative said he would add mileage due to this fact. But I was charged $5 for 11 miles over. petty! I am disappointed. We even returned it with more fuel then we received it with!Gwen A.
I rented a 15' truck and auto transport. The truck was in great shape, ran good and was well maintained. However, the auto transport we received was not maintained at all. While driving down the interstate a tire blew on it and after getting off the interstate all four of the rims on the trailer were so hot I could not even touch them. When the towing company arrived to change the tire, it was found that the trailer brakes were in such bad condition that they didn't even exist. The complete drum was missing! On top of all of this, one of the straps over the tires holding the car on came loose on multiple occasions and even came completely off at one point. Thankfully we were able to switch trailers because if we didn't all four tires would have blown. The trailer lights were about the only thing that worked as they should have.Cody M.

The owner is a personal friend. The owner just yesterday ran in an election and was not available to check the equipment in because of other business needs. I dropped the equipment off and called the owner to let him know. He acknowledged my information in a return call within 10 minutes.JOHN U.

Had to drive about 90 miles because although reserved a truck was not available in our community. Although compensated with miles and an extra day - this was not needed. Lights were not aligned, dash rattled for 400 miles and wheel well leaked. Would not rent again based on this experiencejoann W.
