My problem was not with this location. My problem was that my contract said to return my truck to Riggins Cape May, not this location. When I returned it to the CM location, they had no record of my contract and were unable to get through to uhaul to resolve. I received a text 30 minutes prior to the CM drop off informing me to return to Rio Grande. When I decided to drive there, the address provided in text was incorrect. (275 Franklin Road) I had to find the correct address on my own. When we finally arrived, the system was down for maintenance. Middle of the day on a Sunday instead of overnight. Unbelievable! All in all, I burned an hour and half instead of what should have been 20 minutes. I will not be using (or recommending) uhaul again. Every experience I've ever had over the years has been problematic. The woman at this location was very friendly and understanding of my frustrating experience.Joseph K.

My reservation for a 10' truck and appliance dolly was not prepared or available upon my arrival. System was slow, customer service by Joanne Elmore was terrible, and no dolly! It took Joanne over 1 hour to locate a dolly at a neighboring Uhaul. She never apologized for the inconvenience, passed the blame to me or the computer at every chance (not to mention never put on a mask during Covid). When I requested a discount, she ignored me and pretended not to hear 3 times! It was the worst experience customer service I've had in recent memory. Counter lady was NOT friendly. Van I rented had no proof or confirmation that it was disinfected after it's last use. Or how long it's been sitting since last used. I found the van with dirt (mud) in spots in the cab and storage area. NO Proof that it was disinfected from last use or how long it sat before I used it, I had to Lysol and wipe down the interior of van before I used it. Wore my mask the entire time driving this vehicle because of no proof of cleanliness/ disinfection. I found the desk agent there at A-1 to be not user friendly and won't be dealing with this business again. Ace hardware in Villas does not take U-Haul reservations, basically they want you to rent the day you need it. And hopefully they'll have what you need. M&M storage didn't have what I needed HOWEVER the lady there (Linda) was absolutely THE BEST! courteous friendly in person as well as on the phone. Very helpful in finding what I needed . Renting from U-Haul seems to be more difficult then it should be. I didn't know till night before if in fact a van would be available and where I would have to pick it up. First time renter from U-Haul not sure if I'll be again.John M.

Rented truck online with the app for pickup when they were closed. Truck bed was dirty, empty water bottles, old socks, papers. Cab had used kleenex inside. Rented a dolly and it was not there, had to go to another location to pick one up which used fuel and time. Called uhaul and they did reimbursed me $50 but still had waste time and gas.John B.

I'm not sure how to truly rate this experience. The people at A1 were very nice but the equipment was not in the best shape. The tire warning light was on which means I had to waste time going to a station to check the tires. Also the change oil light was on for the entire time. My only complaint about A1 is that I couldn't pick the van up until 10am on a Saturday which set me back several hours.MICHEAL M.
