The owner was very rude. I drove in from Macon since they were the only site open. Its a small grocery store in Dublin. At 1st he was just going through the motion for the rental, but then a message came up that said, E-Alert - Do not rent to customer. I asked him what did that mean, he said I had to call (proceeded to give me) this number. I asked, once I take care of this issue (which was posted because the intake of my last vehicle was not recorded properly from the location but they fixed it then, and there) can we continue, he said (angrily) once that message comes up I have to deal with them and rent from them over the phone (he's out of it). So, I told the agent what he said and she asked me to put her on speaker (that he should be able to see it cleared up immediately). When I approached him, he angrily stated, "I don't need to talk to them". And he could hear her telling him that all he needed to do was proceed. Then he said, Well, I should be able to see it when I pull it up. After the transaction, he said that when a message like that comes up, he usually just backs away from the transaction because customers have become irate and he said he has a temper. I told him I understand...After the transaction he was helpful (I guess he saw that I was a normal human being) but all that activity before hand was uncalled for and lacked professionalism and customer service. I would have said poor (overall) but because he helped me load the trailer I rate it BELOW AVERAGE (but close to poor).
