DORIS JI need a small truck and the sweet lady that helped me at the first uhaul I went to didn’t stop until she found me one she was nice and very helpful!
GLORIA GI arrived at the location at 9 am when they were supposed to be open and nobody was there yet. At 9:10 am I called the stores number and a lady answered that I presume owns this location. I asked when someone would be available to be at the desk because there hours are 9-5 and she told me that my clock was running fast because her employees are never late and that she didn’t have time to come down and help me because she has another “very important” business to run and hung up the phone. Once the employee arrived and we inspected the vehicle we saw that there was multiple cigarettes in the ash tray and a to go plate under the seat that was filled with chicken wing bones. I told the employee about this and he told me to “take pictures.” I then went back out to the vehicle and attempted to start it but the battery was dead. He gave us a pair of jumper cables and watched as we jumped the vehicle off. Once the vehicle started we realized the gas tank was nearly empty the reading on the gauge literally read 0 miles until empty. I brought this up to the employee and he said “it should be able to make it across the street to that gas station.” We left from there to head towards my house to begin loading the truck. on the way home the U-Haul completely lost all digital readings on the dashboard which meant we couldn’t see how fast we were going. Once at my home we noticed that under the seat that had the food in it that the entire floorboard was covered in maggots. Which we cleaned out ourselves with a water hose. At the end of the day when I returned the U-Haul I brought these things up to the employee and he was completely disinterested. His only response was “oh, okay.” And “make sure you take pictures. I will never use this location again or recommend it to anyone due to their Terrible customer service, terrible sanitation and a failure to maintain their equipment. This place is a joke.
ARIAIL AMs Cindy was amazing. My only problem was with uhaul itself screwing up where we should drop off our equipment and then customer service transferring me five times and not doing their jobs by informing me of everything. Ms Cindy helped as much as she could and I’m very great full for her.
Jade nImprove to check tire pressure and grip on tires also to insure they properly write down the gas gauge monitor because mine was written in wrong and almost charged me an extra fee thank goodness I took a picture before I left the store
Elizabeth MI'm not sure if it was the fault of the corporation itself or the location itself but my experience was horrible. I was over charged after being told I would not be. I reserved my truck online and sat for 2 hours trying to check it back in after moving all day long. I never got it checked in on the site due to an issue on uhaul's website. After live chatting with an agent I was assured that the truck was checked in and I would not be charged extra days because of the issues. Well today I check my account and I was charged for 2 extra days! My checking account now has been overdrawn due to this and magically neither office can fix it today so I'll have to wait for a refund of over $100 for an estimated week. I will not use this company again. Moving is stressful enough at least they should live up to their word and not overcharge people.

About truck and the truck having a granny attic and a ramp as I did not have enough room to have eveything loaded its not fair and right that I have to pay for another truck rental. And pay for help again due to being lyed too

Mark PThe location was closed, and did not notify the uhaul system. My appointment was at 3pm. Showed up at about 10 mins until 3pm, and no one was there. Eventually contacted someone at the other site that they own, they said to come there to get the key. I drove there to get the key, then she said it was at the other location that I had just come from, so we had to drive back to the other location to get the key and uhaul. I did not leave with the uhaul until 1 hour after my appointment. I was very disappointed and I was also put behind schedule due to this issue.
Colby BGet off your a$$ and help the customer connect and disconnect the trailer!! He never came outside to assist, offer help, inspect or anything, yet he watched me the whole time through the window. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

JUDY RGeneral comment not related to this specific location - U Haul needs to install tongue jacks on the larger trailers to assist hook up. I had to manually lift and place the trailer tongue on my hitch assembly which strained my back. After this, I was unable to pick anything up and it may the moving process very difficult and lengthy.

JESSICA GI had a 1:00 pm reservation time; no one there at that time they had sign out to 2:30 pm with number to call. Called number. It was a 2nd location of their's; they called person; who called and returned. They stated they forgot appointment. They gave code to gate and trailer number for me to get and connect on my own. they returned to give me dolly. The trailer came off ball when hitting bump in their drive; Agent said it was not seated correctly; I reseated and secured the ball connection. I was driving down highway and hit bump and trailer came off of ball again. I was able to safely control the stop without damage to trailer or vehicle. Trailer lighting wire was cut which I paid auto shop to repair. When agent was told her only reply was "I don't know what to say". She also said she would call the person that took care of the equipment, but he was off. I told her she need to put a "SAFETY HOLD" on that trailer. Her reply was , "oh that is what is wrong with it". No one there to help disconnect trailer.

Don WI ordered 4 dozen pads, and only 6 pads were provided. Furniture had to be loaded unprotected, and it was damaged, and it is uhaul's fault. Uhaul is a totally incompetent and dysfunctional organization.

Donald CThe team members at the Alexandria and Ball locations did a poor job of explaining how he rental process works. Here is why I feel this way. I didn't understand that my rental could have been at another location which I learned a week later. Secondly, each location had a chance to explain my expenses. I was quoted one price (one that I thought was all inclusive) at each location and nether explained that there was a second charge for a vehicle transporter. So it was a surprise to me two days after the rental that I was billed for a transporter. As a consumer, give me that facts. I hate surprises. Thanks, Jimmy Hazel

I went to the location that was referenced as my "preferred pickup location" in my confirmation email and they didn't have the reservation in their system. I then drove back down the road to the location where Uhaul placed the contract. You will probably not take responsibility for this and pass it down to the bottom of the flow chart; the dealer. Everything rises and falls on leadership not followers. It seems that U-haul leadership is very arrogant and always looking for a scapegoat to pass the blame off on.

LAURA LI made my reservation online for a certain location (a uhaul center) due to distance and their ability to help me with the tow dolly for my car and due to them opening earlier than other locations. Uhaul changed my reservation time, location (a storage building location), and size of truck. I called the call center and spoke to Anna Williams who kept sighing as if I was wasting her time. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she hung up on me. She also input into the system that I could keep the truck for an extra 30 days instead of 30 extra miles for having to go out of my way. She's a very valuable employee and you should definitely try to find more like her, that is, if you would like everyone to stop using uhaul and start using the other companies instead. Ken Beach came out to the pickup location uhaul decided I needed to go to to help correct the situation. Then the trailer lights did not work so we had to go to the location I requested to begin with. I finally got the truck and dolly 4 hours after I requested which delayed my trip and caused me to have to drive out of my way again for overnight accommodations. I dropped the uhaul off at a feed store near my destination right at closing time. They were very pleasant and accommodating even though I made them late getting off work. I would say that other than Ken my uhaul experience with uhaul itself, their online system, and esp the employee of the year, Anna was an extremely poor one and I will look into using another company if the need ever arises again. The only saving grace to this whole experience was the employees from the storage building and the feed store who were not employed by uhaul.

CASEY PYou need to look at your allowed mileage. I needed almost double of what was allowed. Cost me an extra 12.53. With the price I paid, it should have been included. Bad business practice. You need to look at going back to one way rates and local rates. I paid way to much for a truck that I only needed for 5 hours. I will look at other alternatives the next time I need a truck.
MICHAEL Sthe truck's a/c was broken but we were aware beforehand. compartment in console had sticky food or liquid in it that dirtied belonging. site manager was put in difficult position as we were directed to her site because other site did not have the truck we ordered...she was very gracious and we received a 25% discount
