Your online checkin experience is very complicated & a waste of time. You guys should have warnings for how long the process takes. It gave me no indication I needed a reference person until we were trying to get the truck. Maybe even have the person who calls to confirm the res explain the needs of the checkin. And also that there are photo requests after the truck is returned. I’ve never had such an annoying experience with uhaul.

I was frustrated with this location today because I had reserved a pickup truck for 11 AM a few days ago. When i got there they tried to give me a box truck and when i declined, i was told the pickup truck wasn’t available and they gave me a location 4 miles away that had a truck available. If I had a vehicle available that would have been fine but I was renting the truck from that location because I didn’t have a good way of getting to the other one. I was able to get the truck at 3 PM instead.

This location is usually great. This time I rented the van on short notice (1 hour). It was clearly not ready to go out. Covered in dirt, less than a quarter tank of gas. I didn't notice until later that the right side mirror arm was broken. When I got on the highway, I had trouble merging because I couldn't use the mirror.

The online check in process was horrible. The website timed out over and over and over again forcing me to keep reentering the same information and wait for things to load. Nothing wrong with AAMCO, but the uhaul website was absolutely awful.

I was charged for insurance that I was not asked about and that I did not agree to. I have insurance that covers rentals and would have declined if I was given the option. This is deceitful.

He told me gas tank was 3/4 full when I did paperwork, but it was just over 1/2 full when I got in. No one was at desk to tell them when I was leaving so I filled it to 5/8 of a tank before returning and told the man at the desk what had happened but you still charged me for gas refill, which was annoying. The guy who checked me in was a bit "on edge" and slow moving...

It is not about this location but about the reservation. When I got the deal it said that I got 132 mi and the rate is good for 2 days. When I completed the reservation it appeared to be good for 24 hours and 89 miles, so I had to pay for extra miles. I think that your booking system should not flip the original offer. This was very frustrating. I had no time to do it with a different company and had to go for it. I wish I had happier experience.

the vehicle wasn't clean, but they washed the windshield for me before I drove off the lot. I spet the inside of the truck before moving my items in.

No parking for returning truck. However person from UHaul who helped me Tues get a copy of my contract and order was exceptional helpful and patient - my contract was 12645377. That the central office of UHaul do not pressure the local office to put pressure on the client, the renter, to put more milage on the rented vehicle. It does not add to a good business atmosphere.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the truck or the Rental Pick-up Location -- as, they were wonderful. The reservation system at Uhaul, when ordering 'Extras," such as boxes or blankets, is flawed. I was given no other option than to have the items shipped to my residence. Which is odd, due to the fact that the site stated they could only be picked-up at the state street address. So, not only was I charged for the items, as well as the shipping, I had to repurchase the items in-town. Now, I am out that money, as I am moving away from the address that they have been shipped to.

The truck was dirty. I rented a 15’ truck but was called and I was downsized to a 10’ so I was left with having to rent another storage unit for the extra furniture. And now I have to take another trip up North and will have to spend more money in renting a trailer. I’m not very happy with Uhaul.

The self check in process was a nightmare. Had to call customer service multiple times, only to be hung up on twice. Didn’t have enough blankets that we ordered, and paid for a dolly but no dolly was provided. I during the check back in process I tried to explain that, but have heard nothing back. Also accidentally put more gas in than was in the tank when we picked it up, so it would only make sense we be compensated for that. You rack up enough cash from us with the mileage charge. Very dissatisfied, will be looking for other options than Uhaul in the future.

We ordered two dozen pads and a furniture dolly but they were not with the vehicle. The location was closed. We drove the truck the other side of town to another U-Haul location that was supposed to be open but they were also closed. We had to move without any pads or dolly.

Truck wasn’t clean, had to ask for the dolly and load it up myself, fuel was nearly on empty and I had to drive it from Santa Barbara back home to Ventura. I was annoyed to begin with when neither the date nor location for the vehicle I reserved was available and I had to go an hour out of my way to retrieve it - but that part wasn’t AAMCO’s fault.

I was over charged. I had rented a Uhaul pickup from the company owned store on Hollister Ave. On the same day (early morning), and when that store didn’t have a pickup for me to rent in the afternoon, I tried the AAMCO Transmission place. First of all, on the phone they said they had a pickup (acutually 3 of them), available. When I arrived to rent it all they had were larger vans. Then when I returned the truck after using it, I was charged OVER the amount on the propsted amount. This was after driving locally only 29 miles and putting in more gas than it had when I picked it up. I will never go to the AAMCO place again. The company owned location is well managed and honest in their dealings, I can’t say that about AAMCO.
