I reserved a truck for Monday beginning 1130 at the main UHAUL location (133 Monarch Drive, Houma, LA). 1. My truck was not on site. The rep called a number and found out that the person who had it before me was granted an extension. 2. I was instructed to go to another location (ABC Home Services) to pick up a truck from there. 3. With at least 3 people working there, would they not have known the truck wasn't there? The rep said, "they don't tell us." Surely, someone could have looked at the reservations for that location and notified me prior to arrival that my rental was not available. As this is the main location, where all they have to do is rent the UHAULs, I would expect them to know who to expect coming in. 4. Why couldn't they give me one on site (they had one) and gone to pick up the one at the other place, instead of the customer having to be inconvenienced? 5. The rep stated the "other place" (ABC) would give me a discount for my inconvenience, etc. I asked her what happens when they state they don't do that? She had no answer than to call the 1-800 number 6. I went to ABC -- of course, she stated she can't give discounts. She was very courteous and apologetic. They do more than rent UHAULs, yet gave better service than the UHAUL location where that's all they do 7. I was given the name and number of the field manager. I called, left a message. Received a text stated to send a text. I replied that it was too much to text, but am disappointed in services. Haven't heard back. This pushed our project and traveling back over an hour.

Anthony MAsked the guy who came with me to inspect the equipment if it was normal to have 2 inches of clearance between the wheel well and the tire. To which he stated oh yes its perfectly normal. 2 hours into my trip, the axel spring finished breaking and the tire caught fire while rubbing in the wheel well on the interstate. All of which took uhaul 6 hours to get me a tow truck. Needless to say I have to be towed 45 minutes in the wrong direction, to swap my load to another trailers. And what do you know! I could fit my entire head in the space between the new one and the old one. So lets just say I have a hard time believing the equipment was maintained or even inspected and clearly they have no clue what its supposed to look like. An entire day of travel wasted! This wasn’t even the place I had scheduled my pick up but since that place didn’t have the equipment I paid for, I had no choice.

caitlyn cThe transfer from an online reservation to actual was terrible. It is not the location fault, more the online system. Reserved a 15ft truck but only 10 ft available. Not acceptable.

Randall BUhaul Reservation program gave them fits and had to cancel the online reservation and start from scratch. They called for support and didn't really get any. Not their fault.
neal sWe rented the uhaul to move out of my apartment. We were told 175 for the whole thing. So I payed it. The next day I came in and they made us pay another 184 and never told us we would have a second charge the next day. I’m very annoyed. We are in the middle of a pandemic and I’m out of a job and just trying to move into my apartment. I wish someone would have told me about the second charge. We have rented uhauls before and have never had a second charge. We won’t be returning.

Darryl AI rented a two bedroom uhaul truck from 5pm to 11pm. I get to the rental place to pick up the truck and the damn thing didn’t start I had to call road side assistance to come jump it off which took intill 7pm for me to finally get to pull out of the rentals driveway. I was already on a deadline with trying to move plus I only had 6 hours with the truck and that got cut down to 4 hours. I was left in a bind and am not happy about my service.

Pamela DThere were boxes in the back of the truck before I was even able to use it. Meaning they are not mine. I feel I should get 5 dollars off for that. I had to go around them the whole time. If it was just two boxes, I wouldn’t make it an issue but it was like 7-10 boxes back there. I needed that space and had to work around them.
