The reservation was made for another location and I received a call that U-Haul would not be able to get a vehicle for me and I said that was not going to work for me on less than 24 notice. I was offered the same truck at a location that would have increased my driving by 64 kms and was told no compensation would be made. I persisted and it until another location was found with a larger truck and I had to insist on the same rate for U-Haul putting me in a rough situation. There were mistakes made when I made my reservation and by U-Haul prior to pickup....the gentleman that I saw to get the truck was fantastic. I worked in a large chain customer service capacity and was disappointed with the lack of desire to help inconvenienced customer's when it was U-Haul that made mistakes.Harold H.
Have all of the moving blankets, dollies and hand trucks that were reserved available. Truck was not well maintained. Had to stop for over heating issues twice, engine light came on at the start of the trip and the front driver wheel bearing or ball joint was grinding every time the truck was turned to the right on the highway. I had to travel all the way out to fuckin volmer outside st albert to pay 117 dollars put 60 dollars worth of gas in so it was way over the limit i was suppose to bring it back and this fuckin cocksucker wants me to come all the way back out there to pay another 50 fucking dollars that i dont have cause i went over the agreed milage EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO TRAVEL A HALF HOUR OUT OF THE FUCKING CITY TO GET IT AND RETURN IT NO FUCKING SHIT THATS GONNA USE 20KM EACH WAY GO FUCK YOURSELVES CAUSE EVERY FUCKIN COCKSUCKER IN THE CITY RENTED EVERY FUCKIN UHAUL YOU GUYS HAD IN THE CITY YOU WANT MY 50 BUCKS COME LICK MY DICK FOR ITBraeden S.

For a trailer with that heavy of a tongue I would expect a hitch jack, maybe not an electric one but a jack. It is too heavy for one person to lift and move. I have a 2011 Ram 3500, you site does not allow for anything but a dually 1 ton and my bumper hitch configuration â€œwas not available for your truckâ€. Might I suggest looking at some small details. My overall experience was great. I went to the location on 111 ave and 153 st in Edmonton. While they couldn't accommodate my trailer rental request, they phoned someone that could. They asked where I lived and shipped to trailer to a depot near me. Other than the small glitch mentioned above I found you electronic forms easy to use and the whole process easy and convenient. Hi i went this location to pickup truck and i can provide you pictures and everything that this truck was not even sanitised and very very dirty from inside very disappointed because the paid the money and also i can provide u photo the allignment if truck was not good very hard to drive very unsafe. When you tell customers that the only way to guarantee a reservation is to put down a deposit or use a credit card, then you should probably have a truck available that day rather than call 2 1/2 days before and let the customer know there's no truck available all of a sudden. My truck was late, it was in a different city that I had to go and pick it up, they overcharged us, and overall, it was an entire week of back and forth over the phone trying to make sure a truck would be where they first said it would be. Not to mention the number of times I was put on hold for half an hour each time, and then an automated message tells me they're having difficulties, and then hangs up on me. Most. Frustrating. Experience. Ever. I may recommend this to enemies, but not friends and familyAralyn E.

Gave us 2 whips to clean the truck, that was not clean before we got in it.when we started the truck it was noisy very noisy ,said its good to go. when i found dry ground look under the truck to find that the catalytic converter was missing .5 hour ride with a straight pipe truck .Rene C.

Place is a dump inside. Nobody helped me. Walked inside and a lady yelled from the back to park the trailer outside. (No kidding) so I unhooked everything myself and left it there and was told nothing needed to be signed or anything. No information at all. This is after I went back inside and asked. Man was not friendly at all, very hard to understand. Did not look like a normal Uhaul place. Very cluttered and unprofessional. I told him I needed trailer for 2 weeks, but somehow that was missed. Ended up getting nasty voicemails from Ontario location on day of return.RACHEL W.
Location spot for my final pickup was good, but overall experience with Uhaul was below average. My initial booking was messed up as well as my pickup location. I ended up having to stay an extra day which I not had planned for. Will not rent again unless I'm sure all is guaranteed.Trevor I.

Was told to pick up my trailer at the 50th Street location for 9 am by U-Haul. After waiting for an hour in line at this location was told that the trailer wasn't there and would have to be picked up in St Albert location an hour away!! There was 2 of these exact same trailers sitting on the 50 Street locations lot!! This delayed my travel from Edmonton Alberta to Nanaimo B.C by several hours!! I then had to hire people to help unload since my help had to leave because they could not wait the several hours that I was delayed by! I called a manager to explain my situation only to be put on hold for 30 minutes after explaining to him my situation I was hung up on by him!! I then spent another hour on the phone to try and reach someone to talk to!!! It seems not 1 person was willing to help me!! After all this frustration I would like to be compensated financially for the extra money I had to pay to hire other movers in Nanaimo!!!scott W.

Had a reservation and when I went to pick it up at 9:00 at 8:45 they called and said I would have to drive to past St Alberts to pick one up and I was on the south side of Edmonton-1 hour drive Reservation should mean just that-disappointingBrian S.
The last time I tired to rent a uhaul I was called the day before my pickup to find out "sorry nothing in your area is available we have over booked our equipment. Good bye" It cost me $500 plus fuel to do the same move that should have been $170 plus fuel. This time called ahead to check with the indicated pick up location,to discover" nope we do not have that size truck". Called customer service they indicated "a call will be placed 24 hours before reservation to guarentee your rental". This call was placed 36 hours before my reservation.I asked to rent for 2 days as the site only allows for 1 day rental and if it made it easier a smaller truck could be used. Lady on the phone was very helpful and indicated if I was interested in picking up the next day ( earlier then was booked before) she could find me a truck and guarentee the rental for me. This did happen, however no second day was put on the reservation nor was the extended coverage I had selected before. This is because a whole new reservation was made and the first one was not cancelled. To my joy I found out the next day I had 2, 26 foot vans booked and guaranteed this time.... Over all equipment was great, booking was at least honored this time, so it was an improvement over the last experience. Makes me wonder if the last truck rental was cancelled over something like this times over booking which cost me more then it should have to move.Jesse N.

I am disappointed with uhaul completely. The facility was absolutely disgusting. I am a single mom that was moving out of province, I wasnt sure how much fuel the truck would use so I filled it up. I am disgusted with uhaul that there is no reimbursement for over fuel, yet they charge 30 dollars and 1.39 a liter if returned without fuel. I will not reccomend this company to anyone. Unit was covered in snow. Owner told me to sign inspection, without doing it. Then pick up store wanted me to pay for cleaning after I removed snow and cleaned unit better than Recieved. I also had to drive 2 city's away to pick up. Either tell me all units are rented, don't tell me the day before I have to go out of town to pick up. Very disappointed.
