Truck was returned on a holiday. I was able to choose this location to drop the truck, however, once I arrived and completed the drop process on the app, there was nowhere to drop the key. NO KEY DROP BOX. This resulted in many phone calls to Uhaul where I was transferred from one person to the next - NONE OF WHICH KNEW WHAT TO DO. I finally gave up and returned the key the next day when the location opened. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

This part as highly disappointing. I live in Victoria but was told to drive 80km to Ladysmith to pick up the vehicle at an auto repair shop. This does not instil confidence in the rentals, having a U-Haul truck stored with a number or vehicles requiring repair. Perhaps a U-Haul sign indicating this place to be a legitimate place to rent U-Haul vehicles & services would be a great add on. The items that I requested such as blankets and a dolly were not there so I was advised to pick them up in Victoria, I stopped to get them wasting more time. I checked in online but that didn't seem to register. The attendant was unable to process my request, clearly he needs more training on the U-Haul system as it took some time and a call to a U-Haul center to get things sorted out. The vehicle was not ready for pick. It was not washed outside, the attendant offered to wash it but I was already late so I declined, this should have been done prior to my arrival. To be clear the attended was trying to be helpful. He will need more training on how to get vehicles ready and have a storage of supplies that are required to make it a true representation of the U-Haul brand. I know that I did the U-Haul a favour getting this vehicle from a "sketchy" location that nobody uses to putting it in circulation at a central hub such as Calgary at my own expense (gas cost for the rental and my personal car as well as my time). This is what I did not expect but I could not do anything about it as I needed the vehicle. I didn't bring this up with the attendant as he would not know what to do with it and it would only result in an additional delay or possible cancellation. I appreciate that U-Haul is trying to develop new locations to serve customers but don't expect to be the sole customer paying for it.. So I'm bringing it to your attention. Janis BThis is absolutely the worst experience I have had when returning a vehicle. First off, the drop-off was changed twice from my agreed drop-off. This site resembles a wrecking yard. The office sign said "Open" but nobody was around. There was no key drop box so in frustration I finally just pushed the key through the exhaust port on the center door. I would never go to this location and I am surprised that U-Haul actually engages with this location. Obviously U-Haul doesn't visit a location before agreeing that they could be a dealer. Based on this single experience, I probably won't rent from U-Haul next time. You should be ashamed that your brand is associated with this location
Lorne DThe firts location was in Boys St in Duncan, but one day before, U-Haul told me that I had to pick it up 30 minutes away from my home at 1152 TransCanada Hwy. They provided good service, the trailer was clean and they were very helpful.
