The rental process was unremarkable. Pretty easy actually. There was only one issue. When I returned the truck, the salesperson was busy with another customer and he said to just leave the key on the counter, and that the receipt would be emailed. I never got a receipt. Even checked my spam folder.John S.
Vehicle had a large chunk out of the tire. I returned it for another which also has a chunk out of the tire. The third vehicle had decent (not great) tiresâ€¦but was a rattle-trap with zero bump absorption in the suspension. However, Gabe at the location was super friendly and helpful. Uhaul on the hand, needs to do better maintenance on their vehicles. Having to come back and switch out vehicles cost me money but more importantly valuable time that I did not have to spare.Robert F.

This UHaul location was in a hardware store. Despite signing up to do everything via mobile app, that was not available and the wait was lengthy. The dolly wasn't on the truck and the staff seemed unfamiliar with the process. The return to an experienced staff member was fine.Gary R.
I have rented UHaul trucks from this location a few times. We hold 2 corporate events per year that require trucks for equipment transportation. During our last rental this past weekend, we were overcharged more than $3,000 because of a typo. The employee entered in 3,000 extra miles on a two day rental-3/4 the distance from Ohio to Hawaii. We understand that mistakes are made. Should there not be a safe guard that says rentals cannot travel more that say 1000 miles per day without a prompt so issues like this can be avoided? However, when I went to the store to resolve this issue, I was not satisfied with the people and the company handled this problem. Because of an employee's typo, our checking account was charged over $3,000 and paid immediately. However, to get our refund, we have to wait 3-5 business days?!? The worst part of the whole experience is that NO ONE said â€œWe're sorry.â€ No one in the store or the regional manager. I could not even get the regional manager, who was authorized and initiated the refund due to the large amount, on the phone to speak with me. He called the store immediately to resolve the issue. But, he did not have decency nor would not do the honorable and professional responsibility of speaking with me. He is a paid professional who is responsible not only for correcting the problem but also making sure the customer is properly taken care of. The latter did not happen. As the owners of our own service based business, we would never allow this type of treatment to our customers as it is clearly unacceptable behavior. We will definitely think twice before our next event when choosing our truck rental.Norman K.
It was very efficient. Persons at the desk were sharp, helpful and friendly, both for checking in and returning. Also, no line. I was waited on right away. There are actually several U-Hauls closer to my house, but I've had such good luck at this one that this is the place to go. Also, this seems like a safer place to leave your car overnight than some other options.Rob S.

We were told we received the vehicle with a full tank of gas. We drove the vehicle only a few miles then stopped to refill the tank before returning it. It took six gallons to fill the tank. We certainly did not use six gallons of gas, so we complained at Ace Hardware when we returned the van. Ace Hardware compensated us for half of the six gallons, which we considered fair. However, I hope this is not a routine practice in your van rental business.Keith H.
The check engine lights were on as soon as we received the vehicle. We did not bother to trade since they were very busy and not many vehicles available. The vehicle we originally booked was extended by someone else so we did not get that vehicle. They were as helpful as they could be.Saarah K.
I would recommend this location if I knew someone was in a pinch. Employees do not come across as knowledgeable or attentive . I reserved a van and an appliance dolly. The earliest I could pick up the reservation through an employee was 9 a.m. I arrived at 9 and they rented my appliance dolly to someone else. They suggested I move the entire reservation to another location but when asked they would not verify the equipment was available at the other location. When I asked for the address for the other location so I could add it my GPS, they could only provide a phone number. Luckily I needed the equipment for a local project, but had I been new in town, this would have been a nightmare.Carolyn W.

The Equipment was clean but the handle to the drivers window was broken off & I couldn't adjust my seat to pull it closer to the steering wheel because the Handle/lever was also broken off (Literally missing) But I received l excellent customer service,deborah P.

I showed up at 8:15 to pick up my truck for 8:30 pickup, that I pre booked and I was given a truck with no keys. So They had to cancel that truck and re-rent another truck. I didn't get a truck until 9:45 and it had only 3/8 fuel level. I returned it at 4:10 pm, waited another 30 minutes to return it. I feel a little overcharged.angela C.

Reservation was made for 800am. Upon arrival I was given a code for a lock box that didn't exist and no employees at the store knew how to use the system. Waited an hour until someone showed up that could help while my movers were sitting with nothing to do. Overall pretty bad experience and employees of Ace location agreed.Alex W.

The people at Ace are so nice, and the truck was great. HOWEVER, The online check in is totally non functional. It kicked me out 3 x when I tried to pick up and I had to go inside. Also on return, the online check in refused to work and I had to go in again. Fortunately, the people at ACE were totally understanding.Mary F.
The online experience is a joke as I have witnessed not only on my own and the experience of others is not ready for prime time. It takes many times to make an attempt and each attempt requires the entire screen of data to be reentered to try again. I gave up and the agent eventually gave up and had to call directly to get it to work.Jonathan B.

Mobil check-in was not working so we had to wait an hour for the business to open to get the keys. The staff at Ace Hardware was frazzled because of the 4 or 5 people waiting in line angry over the mobil check in problems. I heard ACE employees forgot to put keys in the lock box but the ACE people though it was Uhaul problem??Michael S.

Rear door latch had a padlock that had no key. Either provide key or get rid of lock before someone locks it. Provide info that vehicle has automatic engine breaking. It was very starting when it first happened unexpectedly.David S.
