My difficulty was not with the equipment nor the dealer location, it was with the online experience with the U-haul ordering system. I could easily locate the trailer I sought, convenient to my starting location. When I specified where the one way rental was destined to deliver my cargo, I designated a nearby U-haul contract vendor location to return the trailer to within the designated rental period. U-haul's computer system instead offered three locations ranging from thirty to sixty miles away. I terminated the initial rental attempt and conducted a second attempt, specifying a different return location, which the online system again overrode, stating a single option site, again thirty miles away. I accepted this rental to provide the means to make my move timely. Upon arriving at the pickup location, the employee had to work within U-haul's ordering system because it balked at the ability of a Silverado 1500 4WD V-8 to pull a 5x9 open trailer with ramp. The vendor employee completed the transaction, connected the trailer and went over the features and warnings. That vendor also advised I should be able to drop the trailer off at the location I chose, to avoid unnecessary mileage of another sixty miles round trip for drop off only. He was correct.

I wouldn’t put the blame on ace hardware, but U-Haul. I confirmed my pickup for 6:30 AM and when we arrived we could not get into the truck. We tried for 15 minutes and then ended up on the phone with U-Haul for 30 minutes being transferred to different people. I was told once they changed the pickup location, they didn’t do the mobile pick up meaning I had to go inside to get the U-Haul.. Ace doesn’t open until 8 and I needed it for 6:30 (we had movers arriving at 8.) We ended up sitting there and waiting for Ace to open up. Terrible experience. Had to push back our movers and it made the entire moving day have to be rushed

I've called twice to make sure they got the truck checked back in. I dropped it off after hours. I called the next day and couldnt get any information on truck I forgot to write the ending mileage down. I also wanted them to know that I wasnt responsible for the scratch on truck it was there when I picked it up.

The process took over an hour just to pick up the rental. The agent was having issues with the website.....it was VERY slow! I had to upload a photo of my DL and I also had the same issue.

First off I got the uhaul on empty and then got charged for brining it back empty and charged a cleaning fee and all kinds of other fees
