Let me start by saying that there was absolutely nothing wrong with this specific location! Ace Home & Hardware in Marshall is great store with very helpful and friendly staff. However, the fact that u-haul's system allows me to order exactly what I want, for when and where I want to pick it up, and then only is a small, unconcerning pop-up box does it say that the order is contingent upon availability, with out laying out exactly how unlikely it is that there will actually be the exact truck that one needs available at this store in Marshall is incredibly frustrating. I saw the note that said someone would call me, and yet 24 hours ahead of my reservation, no one had called me! Luckily, I had started to talk about my upcoming rental plans with others in town and been warned that people often showed up that morning only to find they had to drive 45+ mins to another town to get what they needed. Just because we live in rural America does not mean that we don't need the equipment that we requested! And sometimes we need exactly what we requested, in the time frame that we booked it for! I can't afford to be driving all across the Midwest to pick up a truck, even if your company is willing to cover the cost of the additional mileage for me. if it's truly that hard to have truck available in this area, then don't allow people to book online at all, or make sure the warning is in red and stops people from moving forward until they acknowledge that they might have to drive up to an hour to get the truck, or take a smaller/larger truck instead. The lack of communication from u-haul ahead of time was incredible frustrating!
CHARLOTTE WHorrible. The U-Haul was not at the reserved location. I had to drive over an hour away to get the truck that I had already booked and paid for. If the truck is not available at the booked location you should not be able to book the location. No one reached out to let me know. The vendors at the location didn't know anything and were not helpful. Would never recommend.

REBECCA TAfter getting stranded in Minnesota for two days, I had two different U-Haul companies promised me equipment that was not at the store.. I not only wasted time driving out of my way, but also got two separate emails of a guarantee.. the day we needed to leave we got word that there was equipment, but it was over an hour and 10 minutes away so that added two hours round-trip to our trip back to Denver.. The truck had a check engine light on, and the back chain has hook was broken and not usable, therefore not allowing us to have all four points of contact on the tow.
Sarah LBooking online was not easy. The website kept crashing and there were areas where once you picked your options you could not find the "button" to move to the next selection.
Michael DKeys were not in the U-Haul. I had trouble doing the online thing after hours. I was on the phone with someone and finally getting the U-Haul and driving away took over an hour.

BRIAN Pone of the taillights on the trailer did not work. Had to switch trailers.
BRIAN STow Dolley had some wiring problems with lights as some of LED, S on left side were out and was giving my Jeep signals that light was out and to check connections even Thow remaining LED, S were working on left side.
KIMBERLY OI had a terrible experience with Uhaul. I had a reservation time and location set up. When we arrived to pick up the truck we were told that there was nothing available for us. This was no fault of the pick up location, simply U-Haul's fault. This put us behind schedule and ultimately ended up costing me a couple extra hundred dollars as I had movers waiting. Very disappointing to say the least.

THOMAS BWhen we checked out the guy checked the flashers and said good to go. On our way back last night I was stopped by the Minnesota Hiway patrol no tail lights. We checked my truck and had power at the plug point. He issued me a warning ticket and I drove the last 109 miles with my four way flashers. Not real happy
Richard CCar trailer worked well. I wanted to rent a utility trailer, but could not find any locations that had them. Get a large utility trailer at this location!
Keith EChecking the equipment out went fine, the only issue I had with that process was having to supply three contact numbers. Don’t understand it and don’t believe the reasoning behind it is valid. Checking EQUIPMENT back in went fine, end up waiting a while because of issues with the website or app on the tablet and

STERLING WWhen I went to pick up the trailer a tire was really low. They filled it up with air, and away I went. Well, I had to put air in it in Sioux Falls, Omaha, and again in St. Joseph Missouri. Your customer service department was a great help lining up a tire repair business to replace the tire!

Tony LI wish I would have been told that when I requested to pick up the truck 4 hrs early that I would be charged an additional day. No way to prorate. No one had it rented before me. It wasn't until I returned it. Nice job.
