Biggest issue was using the U-Haul app. Constantly freezes.

When I arrived to pick up the uhaul, which wad arranged gor after hours pickup, the lock to a cess the truck key was frozen shut and I was stuck outside the building in -42 weather until a tow truck operator luckily came by and helped me get it open. Once I got the key and went to grab the uhaul it was parked tightly between several other trucks, I barely managed to get it out. There was also no snow/ice scraper in the truck and the windshield was. Covered in snow and ice. Inside the truck was a bag full of chips that was spilled behind the drivers seat. Not my best experience with uhaul. Hopefully if I need to use it again it will be a better experience

VEVA CI use your trucks regularly. The app needs to be a bit more user friendly, especially for regular customers. You should have some sort of memory on there with regular customers having an account number to make it easier.

Raija MThe truck I was renting was not set up for Mobile checkout. When I tried to use the app, it would not let me rent. When I asked for help, the gentleman was very friendly and tried to help me use the mobile app, but could not check me out himself. In the end I called customer support, and found out that the truck was not set up for Mobile checkout. The app just indicated that my location services on my phone was not finding the location, but after calling customer support, they asked me to uninstalling the app, and then using the website to book, and then finally it worked. The whole process took over an hour to do. I just think the business should be aware that their truck was not set up for Mobile checkout, and hopefully make it set up for mobile checkout, or be aware that it is not. It was confusing and frustrating.
Kennedy JThe person at this location was somewhat rude and unhelpful. Said he would charge me a dollar a minute to come out and make sure I had the correct size ball on my hitch. I was not impressed with his service or tone of voice.

FRANK AUpdate your system to reflect accurate business hours on holidays. I had booked a mobile pickup for Victoria Day and the truck was not accessible because the location was closed. Wasted a day

gilles kThis location was closed with nobody in site. When I submit my information to return the truck, I received notification that I owed and additional $2000 plus.... I was extremely unhappy as it went completely against the contract mileage included in the rental. For the company of this size, you should have your systems in good working order. I have pictures to prove that I did not go over the kilometres. And that was another thing - even if this is a US based company, get your trucks that operate in Canada into kilometres and have your systems calculate them that way. I am a very disappointed and angered customer that moved more than 14 hours north to have more headaches from UHaul than anyone needs to deal with in a lifetime.
Cynthia HThe trailer was not clean on the interior. Metal filings and metal dust covered the inside. Had to sweep and wipe down the entire interior. The facility was good, the rep I dealt with was very good.

I had to do nothing. In my mind they should be Canada's leader in what a U-Haul experience should be. Top notch.vIf I need U-Haul again and I will it will be with that dealer. Andrew CI had no issue with the location. All my issues and I had a few were with uhaul itself. Changing my location without telling me after is specifically asked if it was going to be. Then told me I wasn’t getting a trailer and after say I couldn’t be without one, five minutes later the guy found me one. Why! Why did I have to pick up from two different locations. The service from your main Winnipeg office Is sad to say the least. U haul waisted a lot of my time when I had non to give. This should have been a much better experience.
Albert BPhone customer service queue management and handling of customer inquiries needs massive improvement all across the board. Completely dissatisfied.
Donald KMark was told about the issue with the excessive loss of oil and the smell in the driver's cab. He advised us to call uhaul to complain about the burning oil issue. He was also submitting his report and making sure the truck won't move until fixed. Better service in Thunder Bay than at the Dunlop Street location in Barrie.

KERRYWAYNE ZLeft lite was not working on trailer and we were told it was my SUV so we had lite bulbs changed and wiring checked but trailer still didn't work. So Thunder bay Uhaul said it was still us...So we left on our trip and only travelled in daylight and when we dropped off trailer our lite was working on our SUV. So obviously it was the trailer lite. However the Uhaul did replace the litebulb but l think it was the wiring... l will be renting a trailer again next mth as my belongings are in storage and waiting to move in my new place

BRUCEA VIt was a bit expensive--you could rent a truck for the same or similar price of $138 and you wouldn't have a governor on the truck or to take pictures of everything when you take it back
