Short review: I will never use this location again. UHAUL should not allow this location to give them a bad name. Find a different location to do business with. I reserved my 5x8 trailer online the night before picking up the trailer. I went through the entire reservation process which includes selecting the trailer and if you elect to buy any kind of insurance on the trailer, I declined all of it in my reservation. I got to the location to pick up the trailer and had the employee asked me for "emergency contact" information which I had already put on the reservation (which is actually an optional input), but I went ahead and gave the employee my emergency contact information. The employee then asked for a second name "like a friend's name" as he explained. I told him that I did not need to give him any further information as I had already filled out the reservation form online and that a second "friend's name" is not required. The employee told me that it was required so I told him to put his own name down as it was not a required field to rent a small trailer from UHAUL. Seriously, I have rented multiple things before including way more expensive heavy equipment and vehicles and the only name required is the person that is going to be operating the equipment. When I returned the trailer, I had to wait for 10 minutes for an employee to help me as the employee behind the register said, "they had never done a return before, so they had to call their boss". After waiting for the boss to show up, I looked at the total being charged and there was an additional $8 charge for insurance. I told him that it needed to come off because I had declined it on the reservation I made online and even showed him a screenshot from my phone of my online reservation that did not include that extra $8 charge. He said that I should have looked at the paperwork that was given to me when I picked up the trailer. I told him I guess the employee that morning must have added it by mistake as I had previously declined it, but he told me that it was my fault for not checking the paperwork that was given to me when I picked the trailer up. Ok, not worth my time to argue over $8, but that is bad business, and I will never do any business at this location again. They honestly are giving UHAUL a bad name. Judging by the poor review rating on this location, I would assume that I am not the only one that has had trouble with this location. The trailer was one of the oldest and most run down UHAUL trailers that I have seen. The paint was coming off everywhere and the inside of the trailer was dirty. Honestly, I don't even like giving this location one star, I wish there were a zero star rating.
