It was easy. Arrived at the location, gate access worked, found out unit, lock was in unit. The whole property was very clean. We unloaded without any issues and were on our way. Easy process!

Make sure to clean the trucks, please remember to leave the keys, make sure to have a gate code that works. We were stuck for hours and couldn't get out of the gate. That put us 5hours behind with a toddler and a baby. We had an 8 hour drive that turned into 13hours. We had to cancel a moving company last minute, that cost $1200. I've never had a more terrible experience with a uhaul and we've been using uhaul for 7 years.

At least gas up the Uhaul! I put $75 of gas in it, when I got it, the Uhaul the gas light was on!!! I put more gas in it than when I got it and turned it in!!! I returned it a little less than 1/4 tank and still got a $48 gas charge!!! U charged me $4.75 a gallon when gas is $3.19. Uhaul is a greedy price gauging company!!! Pathetic!!! I think I will look for another company to do business with!!! And no I will not recommend u to anyone else!!!

It is very accommodating, with easy access and plenty of room to load and unload at each unit. In addition, there are lots of different sizes and door heights.

Since the “Pick up my Truck” did not appear on my website account, it took over an hour of calls and website work to figure out my truck was not available. Finally, via phone I was directed to a larger truck—the keys were in the back…but the password was incorrect for the lock. I called the U-Haul number and was told someone would be there to help “in a few minutes.” After waiting 45 minutes I walked back to the office again where there was an attendant—the attendant couldn’t open it either. Finally (again), someone arrived with a book of passwords and we got the back open. The attendant was only able to find 4 of the 12 furniture pads I ordered. After this 3 1/2 hour ordeal, I was finally able to get to the house where I was paying 2 professional movers to wait.

Simple process to drop off

Scottsville road location is not helpful at all. I moved to another storage after being with you for several years. Previous office staff was always great and helpful. The current staff are like robots and not sure they understand customer service. It took twice to cancel my unit. I canceled. Then …. A phone call saying my unit is empty , so I called back and cancelled again. Very unprofessional staff at Scottsville road location

The staff was more than helpful. We moved in over a weekend and the staff took time out of their day off to drop a lock off to us. They made move in and out easy and went the extra mile. We would recommend to anyone needing a storage facility.

There was no one at the location when we got there. It was 11:30 am . They were closed for the day. So I couldn't tell you about the people there. We waited to see if anyone would come back but no one. Then when I tried to call for assistance I had to take pictures of inside truck but I had already turned in the key so not possible. I waited to turn in the truck until Monday morning so there would be someone at the location. As I said no one. Then I had a problem getting the location finder for your company to work so by the time we got that to work it was after 12:00 drop off time I called got automated system almost impossible to get past that to talk to a person. Finally got someone and she just said drop the key all will be ok when I asked for her to verify my call she acted like I was stupid for wanting that I usually am very easy to please but this was not a good drop off. I don't think I should have to do your work for you. I asked if I could drop off at another location and was told no. I better not get any extra charges for this drop off.

This was one of my best storage rental experiences. The staff was very nice, and I felt secure when I needed to access my unit after hours. I only needed the space for a few months while reorganizing my house, which worked out perfectly. I would highly recommend this facility.

The location was fine. The truck share process was awful. It kept telling me a need to share my location and I followed the directions that were given, but it still wouldn’t work. I called Uhaul and waited on hold for 40 minutes just for the lady to give me additional directions on how to share my location. Why weren’t these directions given in the link??? I waited for 40 minutes for something that could be added to the directions in two sentences. Horrible! But I have a feeling Uhaul doesn’t really care about making it easier for their customers since they’re one of the only options for moving vehicles.

The key drop box was not clearly marked. Was not the type shown in the online picture. The note on the door said ‘Please put world lock in the drop slot on the front door’. Not referring to U-HAUL.

I used your storage facility for 10 years and have no complaints. My husband and I appreciated the Veterans discount. Having access to boxes and supplies is very helpful. The only suggestion I might add is for those not familiar with using storage is to place plastic liner on the floor and use Damp Rid for any moisture in the unit. Thanks...from the Jaggers !!!

Our experience could not have been better! Manager (Crystal Turner) and Assistant Manager (Alizabeth) were helpful in every way - making things understandable, safe, secure and giving us the assurance that we (and our belongings) were “in good hands!” They were great!

The movers informed me that there was standing water inside of unit . I had to throw away two bookcases & a couple of boxes of items that were soaked & contents were damaged. Glad you force us to buy the insurance on our units as I will need to have the bookcases replaced. Other than that, everything else is great.

I really like the owner, but the employees on the other hand, not so much! I was there on two different occasions and was yelled at by the female employee that, “only one person per family”. Mind you, I have my child. And on the first occasion she asked if she was coming off like a “bitch”. And I gave her an honest reply. So for her to do the same thing the second time, she knows exactly what she doing. Another than her, my use of Uhaul at this location, it was good.

The lady that was there that day was super nice and tried to help in anyway she could we returned our trailer on Sunday at schotts marathon in London the guy was super nice unhooked trailer for us we are 100% pleased with all would recommend either place to anyone

The lady who was working that day was terrific. Enterprise screwed up my reservation and I was able to book last minute. When my gps brought me to the wrong place, she took care of everything and I was outta there in 5 minutes.

While we were driving down the road in our neighborhood after picking up our trailer, it completely came unhitched from our truck and rolled backward while we were driving. Because we were driving in our neighborhood, we were fortunate that there were no cars behind us or around us and we were able to get the situation under control. At first, we believed there was a problem with the trailer, but upon further inspection, we realized that the lady who hooked the trailer onto our hitch did not do so properly. Should we have been on a busy road, this could have killed someone. There needs to be more vigilant efforts taken with safety and training to make sure that those who are hooking up heavy equipment like this know what they are doing. Additionally, this same individual did not seem to know any of the answers to the questions we asked and would always have to call someone else for an answer every time. It seems like there needs to be some additional training there as well.

Great service from Affordable Storage Guys! Lackluster and underwhelming service from the U-Haul online check in. NOT the branch’s fault. Poor design and difficult to use the online system. Too many app permissions to find and active and no instructions on how to do so. In the future I will gladly schedule pick up times during business hours only.
