I rented a 10' truck on Thanksgiving weekend, in Iowa, to travel to Minnesota. The truck didn't have snow tires and I got stuck several times on side streets. I had a small shovel and was able to dig out, except the last time. When I called U-Haul to say I was stuck, they offered to get quotes from tow companies! Fortunately, I was eventually able to get unstuck, but it is totally unacceptable for the company to rent trucks with smooth summer tires in the winter in the Snow Belt.

I wish I would’ve known that I wasn’t getting a U-Haul that had a door that slid up. I would’ve gotten a bigger one because the door that opened to the side wasn’t big enough and ruined my stuff.

I had originally set pick up at another location, but they ended up not having truck I had p8cked up available. National phone center promptly found another location and ended up adjusting price and gas to make up for changed. New location had change information and all worked very well. Good experience.

The trailer was old, the left brake light and turn signal did not work. we had no other option it was the only trailer available. other than that it worked great.

It is a hassle beyond belief to have to go to 2 different sites in order to pick up the which one has reserved. It should not take over 2 hours to pick up a UHaul when you are already stressed on time, let alone patience!

There was nobody at this location, I simply parked the trailer among the others and left. The parking spaces are easy and well lit. I have returned here a couple different times.

There was no pick location in Centerville, so had to drive to Albia and pick up our truck and drive back to Centerville (extra 25 miles). I was not given extra miles for the additional trip I had to make. Uhaul charged me for the extra 23 miles. This does not seem right. Generally, UHaul gives me extra miles to accommodate for the location pick up.

Don't wait until 7:30pm to tell someone their reservation of a truck is not available for the next morning.. Your staff is rude, and unprofessional. Just an all around lack of customer service. Dee Dickson is very disrespectful and it is apparent that her job is not to take care of customers. She also apparently does not have a boss or report to anyone period. She did say so herself....

Tried to call them because of no key drop box....no answer or answering machine. Also tried to call the 1 800 number still no answer. Had to leave the key and agreement under the door...wasn't to happy

It was a good thing that I paid the $15 insurance because the vehicle was in very poor shape with dents, scrapes, door seals hanging out, etc. If I weren't trying to do a quick trip, I would have refused the truck and gone elsewhere. Also, future customers may not be as tolerant of a dog jumping on them or standing on the desk while paperwork was being filled out.

Everything was great except for the fact that we specifically looked at the gas gauge when we dropped the truck off-it was exactly half full but truck was parked on a slight incline.They charged us for gas & when my husband called re: it they said No - it was 1/4 tank full & he said did you read it while it was parked on the "incline" and they said no it wasn't on incline when they read it. I don't believe this & I (Susan) am still going to call them on this but due to an illness that arose with family member I've let it slide but am going to call this weekend. I feel they read the gas gauge while parked where they told us to park it (it was closed when we dropped off) and that's why the gauge read 1/4 full when it was in fact 1/2 full. They charged credit card (I think) $35.00. I'm not going to argue up a storm - I have too many other important things going on in my life right now but this was "definitely" not correct!!
