I have not used uhal in about 20 years and this experience was very unpleasant. From using the website, to picking a location and than getting a call that the next day that there were no trucks available at the location that we had chosen. Using mobile self checkin i do not like but luckily there was a person on site. For renting a vehicle I would always recommend a person be on-site.

KELLY MTire pressures dangerously low: 32, 34, 36, & 42 psi for 65 psi trailer tires. Securing the load inside of the trail is not ratchet strap friendly, there is no easy way to secure the hooks. Please add a trailer jack to all of your trailers, two 60+ y/o guys struggle to lift the trailer yoke onto the hitch especially if the trailer is on a slight incline.

STEVEN HReservation was for counter service pickup including 24 blankets for $24. Pickup time was selected based on published opening time. No one showed up. No blankets provided. Sticky spill on truck seat.Reported fuel higher than actual. Time required to finally get moving was excessive and hurt or move timeline. Recent previous rental from Great Mills Road location was excellent by comparison. U-Haul should not advertise counter service in the reservation process if it’s not going to be provided and shouldn’t charge for blankets if they are not provided and despite multiple efforts it appears we still have not been fully credited for the blanket charges…minor amount of money but the associated hassle from start to finish was not. I do very much like the 26’ trucks - amazing moving machines.

Ted HThis was not my preferred pick-up location, but was a "last minute" substitute. It was a Sunday and they were supposed to be closed. Fortunately someone was in the office because trying to do a pick-up through the UHaul app was very clunky and difficult. Every step had to be repeated multiple times to "take" and allow progress to the next. The representative at Aldrich, however, was great. She quickly processed my pick-up and got me on my way. I am so grateful for the professional assistance.
Scott HUninviting facility for pickup, but the manager was kind and efficient at executing the rental. The trailer was clean. It was in somewhat tired condition, but was fully functional and exactly what I needed for a local rental. I have rented trucks in the past, but don't know that I've ever rented a trailer. I found it to be very reasonably priced.

Greg PI reserved a truck at a location near the house I was moving from and U-Haul involuntarily moved me to a different location farther away, thus necessitating more miles driven which I guess is good for U-Haul since you charge by the mile so you made more money off me. The location didn't have anyone there so I had to try and do things on the app which is a piece of garbage and kept crashing. It took a lengthy phone call to customer service and going through the website on my phone which still didn't work right to be able to get the truck. It was the worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul and if I ever get a U-Haul truck again it's because there aren't any other options. I was also missing the appliance dolly I ordered which was critical for moving some of my furniture. Thankfully I had something I could use even though it wasn't suited for the job. The weight of the furniture I was moving resulted in bending of the steel on my dolly at home (which was why I wanted to rent an appliance dolly with a high weight rating). So not only did U-Haul cost me more money, waste my time by having a useless app, it also cost me a piece of equipment at my house by not providing equipment I had reserved. I can't rate this company lower. I'd give zero stars if I could.

john tThe online approval process is awful. Either pre-approve applications or let the person know ahead of time how long it can take. Because having 15 mins wasted on waiting for approval makes me not want to use you again.

Leroy HNot have the rental at 1/4 tank. It's very inconvenient to almost immediately go and fill it up and then try to balance the tank enough to where I'm not overfilling it while I only need to drive it around town.
John DThe online pick up leaves much to be desired. If your pick up doesn’t go through the first try the system locks you out and you have to call u-haul.
Robert PWhen closing times are listed, the expectation is that the facility would be open until that time. I know that you can return your vehicle using the app on your phone when the facility is closed, I just like putting the keys to the vehicle in the hands of the facility manager and thought I would be able to do that only to find out that the location had closed early which wasn't mentioned when I asked about closing time when I picked up the vehicle.
