Make sure when you make a reservation at a certain location they fulfill the order. I had to go to an alternate location and get a late start. Also try moving without a trolley. no one had them and it was a nightmare moving.Kim L.
Make sure it is safe and that equipment is clean. We found a person sleeping in our rental, and it was dirty and smelly. We had to spend almost two hours cleaning the Uhaul, which set us way behind schedule.Yaremis S.

There was barely enough parking for the U-Haul. We had to block in another Truck because there wasn't enough room.Colten C.
-No obvious direction on how to pickup the rental. Representative hidden in an office with no signage. -Mileage count was bungled so I had to contact customer service for a refund after my initial emails to the Area Field Manager were unanswered/ignored. -Customer service made a calculation error on the refund amount so customer service had to be contacted twice to correct the initial error.CHRISTOPHER H.
Equipment that was ordered wasn't on truck, and because the order was a 24/7 customer online check in, there was nobody to help with finding equipment. Only half of the dozen ordered moving blankets were included with the truck and half of those were wet. It doesn't give much confidence in the system if there's nobody checking on equipment to make sure that orders are ready for the next customer.David M.

This uhaul location was assigned to us after we booked elsewhere. It arrived to find a run down tire shop in a rough area of town. Barely any signs. Had I been by myself I would have left immediately. Only positive was that the worker was kind and accommodating. But the office she took us into was practically falling down. The uhaul was rusty and it was really hard to open and close the shutter door. The rental place did not have a utility dolly which is so basic. They first just offered to deduct it from my payment which isnt what I cared about. I cared about being able to move all the boxes I have for which I need a utility dolly which is why I ordered it in the first place. The lady then told me to go to another place 4 buildings down and get a utility dolly from there. My husband and I went and we were met by an extremely rude guy who for no reason started being rude to us. Finally after an hour of unpleasantness we got the dolly we wanted. Overall it was an awful and stressful experience on the day of our move.Sai A.

When we arrived to the listed address we were told to go to another lot. When we arrived at the lot we were cursed at because they wanted to close. We were told we had to park our own trailer even though it was a messy lot. I tried parking it and was laughed at by two employees that were wearing normal clothing. After 20 minutes of them laughing snd coaching me on how to complete the trailer parking, they asked if they could get in my car to complete. They got in and tried for 30 minutes and weren't able to do it. I kept asking if we could just hand truck it to the position they wanted snd they kept saying no. Finally they agreed and we placed it back. Terrible lot, very mean employees and bad customer service from this location. It's a dirt lot with pot holes.Margaret L.
I specifically went at a time where an employee would be present to help me obtain the truck. There was no employee present. Someone in the area knew her and called her. I tried to speak with her on the phone but I overheard her say "no I don't want to talk to anyone." I tried to obtain the other items I rented but they were not present and no one was able to help me find these, making my move way more difficult than it needed to be. There are several more details that went horribly and I could not believe the experience that I had. This was absolutely horrible and made the stress of moving 10x worse.Mina G.

Truck was very dirty and many undocumented scuffs that I probably would have got charged for had I not been so thorough. Side sliding door missing interior handle and was inoperable. Low tire pressure in both rear tires that causing tire pressure monitoring system to stay on.Jeffrey B.
I was most most impressed with the gentleman who helped me connect the car hauler to my Explorer. He was also there when I returned it and was very helpful then as well. I'm also impressed with the online/digital interface for reservations, checking in, and receiving the receipt. Very easy to use.Brian F.

I don't know if it had to do with the location or Uhaul as a service, but I had signed up for an 8 am pick up with the 24/7 pick up outside of store hours. I thought I could go before the place opened at 10. Uhaul would not let me sign in for my pick up after driving to the location, saying i couldn't pick up until the store opened at 11. Not only was Uhaul incorrect (it opens at 10), but it threw a huge wrench in my moving day. I had To turn around and come back 2-3 hours later. The people at the location were excellent, I would recommend them to anybody. That said, the 24/7 pick up situation at this location caused an extremely frustrating experience.Kirby D.

The location itself was ok. The one way cost from ATLANTA, GA to CHARLESTON, SC was outrageously high. Almost $600 for a 5 hour trip. I was very shocked that it was SO expensive.virginia P.

He gave away our truck to someone standing two places in line ahead of us after we told him that we were there and had tried for over an hour to call to let him know that we would be cutting it close to our reservation time. We then had to wait almost 2 hours to get a truck that was two sizes smaller without any of the moving equipment. This nearly caused me to lose my apartment because the moving crew couldn't possibly pack the truck quickly enough to get me to my next location in time. The entire experience was a disaster and I will never directly rent a truck from U-Haul ever again.Benjamin F.

First of all, we were scheduled to pick up the truck at 10am, it was rescheduled to 11am and the staff showed up an hour late! The belt to keep person car in place was broken and they didn't have an extra to replace. They sent us to a different location on memorial drive, and they're staff were rude and did not want to replace it. Poor customer service overall. Hire more staff and get more equipments.Esyas K.

My 8 am reservation was split and the truck was changed to this location which was across town from where I live. I arrived a few mins before my appt and the location was closed. I called Uhaul and they told me that location doesn't open until a few hrs later. The Uhaul rep was able to secure me a truck back across town, so I left to go pick that one up and was late to meet my movers. The tow dolly was changed to another contractor who was unable to assist me in loading my car onto the tow dolly so overall I visited 4 locations before I was able to start my cross country move.Evelyn G.

The issue was with the online rental process. I requested counter pick-up, which I wanted to get the keys from a person. My pick-up time was at noon. I arrived at 10:45am. The location was not opened. I had a very hard time online with completing the process to This is was not with the rental pickup location. My problem was with the online process. I had requested a counter pickup for the keys. When I arrived at 10:45am for my noon reservation the location was not open. I called U-Haul help in which I was notified that my pickup was an online process. However, my phone battery was very low as I had taken an Uber to this location. It was very difficult to complete this process. Then, my credit- card would not go through due to technical issues with your online system. I had to call online help again. While waiting and talking with your online service, I was almost robbed by a local hangout by the facility. Luckily a cop came by that scared off the intruder. Finally, I got the key after an hour and half process with this online process. but, I was charge a late fee because i didn't get the key by noon. At last, the storekeeper showed up around 1pm which the supplies I order were not in the truck. I am very, very disappointed with overall pick up process. :(Dwight T.

Please see email sent yesterday. No one at location for 1 hour and 42 minutes. Who seemed to be a homeless man asleep in repair shop tried to help unattach the car trailer. Three other possible customers waited as did I. We will never use UHaul againJames J.
Wasn't able to pick up the car via mobile check in. Manager said they would handle contract for me, and I was in a rush to leave so I didn't think twice about it. After picking up a table, putting 5 miles on the truck, and returning 40 minutes later, I had trouble turning the truck in as the mileage was incorrect. When I called the next day, the manager said she would take care of it, then I was billed for driving 88 miles, which would not be possible in the city of Atlanta in 40 minutes. Highly recommend not using this location as they are a shady business.Billy B.

The site didn't have a clear office, and no obvious person to talk to about dropping off the trailer. We had to drive into a small parking lot with no turn around area. A mechanic working at the site helped us remove the trailer from our car. We asked if there was anything else we needed to do before we left and he said no. Four days later I was notified the uhaul was listed as â€œmissingâ€. The site did not inform uhaul the item had been dropped off.Kathryn W.

The wrong key was given for the truck assigned. Luckily, it went to the next truck over but that messed with the check in process and check out process in terms of mileage and fuel. The actual place was closed so I couldn't get the furniture pads and dolley I had ordered. The main issue I had was there being a man sleeping in the back of my truck. All the trucks are left open and unlocked so I had to ask this man to leave before I pulled away. I'll likely never get a uhaul from a smaller place again and this experience was definitely not easy nor seamless.Kiersten M.

This was one of the most HORRIBLE experiences I've even had in my life. Please DO NOT RENT a u-haul from this location on Flat Shoals and Memorial drive. He lift the back before I left and there was a homeless person in the back sleeping. Only response he gave me was "Do you want me to sweep it out?" SMHSteven B.
I had problems with the app. The morning of my reservation, it was changed to this place. I went to pick up at 10am, but the app wouldn't let me do it and gave me an error. I had to call uhaul to fix it. Originally, the app gave me the owner's number to call, but he was operating a different location in duluth so he was useless. They changed my contract so it would work. It didn't work, so I had to call again. They had to change the truck to a bigger size for it to work. It did work, but by then it was past 11am. Such a waste of time dealing with that when u should be focused on moving.Laura S.
