The entire process was horrible. First the location has no set office location, just a random uhaul sign on the outside of a building, not signage as to office location, a bell anything. the entire set up looks like something out of the movie deliverance minus the creepy Bango music. After wandering and calling and being directed to enter the side wood no window door, we found the office which was filthy. The older man was, well my wife isn't here and she does the paperwork....eventually he took us back to the truck which had body damage, and was on empty with an engine light on. he wasn't sure it would make it to the nearest gas station, and he had to call to find out if the engine light was an issue. this all after I called 1.5 hours earlier to ensure everything was good for pick up...you would think maybe they would check the gas when I called to confirm or call about the light but I guess not, I mean they couldn't even have people to do the paperwork at the pick up time. We waited 45 mins for his wife to return from shopping...and then she had a bad attitude that almost matched his " i only make $20 a rental so why do I care" bad attitude. We were told we would get a credit to the bill for the lack of gas as the closest gas stations gas rate was 20 cents higher than a normal spot. I also called and complained and was told I'd get a $50 discount for the experience. I can tell you that is not enough. The 45 min delay cost me more than that.

It's also in the middle of nowhere down a dirt road and they took two days to log my truck back into the system. Didn't do it until I got a call from head office asking where the truck was.

Richard WThis U-Haul rental satellite (location) was NOT “poor” because of where it is located, but because my whole experience was completely unprofessional. When I arrived for pickup, the business owner was late. When I was finally served (with only one person before me), it took forever to process my rental because of a lack of internet access (no high speed wifi in the country), and it took just shy of an hour to get on the road with the truck I rented, which put my day behind. Furthermore,when I asked if I could return the vehicle at another drop off closer to me; and because of the time and distance it would take to drive the vehicle back out to the drop off, the business operator flat out said NO YOU CAN’T DO THAT! (emphasis his not mine) And then he bluntly disdained the business and drop off I was hoping to leave the truck at; and mentioned I would be charged 4 times the price if I did that. When I said that U-Haul, according to my knowledge, provides that option for a fee, i stated how I was sure it was not 4x the cost of the rental (for a 25 minute difference driving distance). I relented fearing I’d be charged some outrageous extra fees but I was completely unhappy with the service at this point. Finally, when I returned the truck, I had no idea where to leave the key; there was NO sign, no instruction, so again I called the office number only to get no answer. I waited a few minutes and the same unpleasant business operator showed up (completely unconcerned), and I mentioned that I was unsure where to leave the keys; having forgot to ask, and he never provided that information. The whole experience left me with ONE OPTION AND ONE CONCLUSION: I’ll never be going back there for a U-Haul. I’ve rented two trucks this year, and the odd years in the past; I never had this kind of service: SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. I say that with respect, and I ca. because I’ve run a business for years, and serve people all the time. U-Haul: find someone else to rent your trucks!

Tina HEnsure location is provided with the equipment they need for reservations. I booked an appliance dolly but there was none available when I picked up the vehicle and had to do without during my apartment move. Friendly and helpful staff and convenient location for me.

Claude DI picked up a trailer on Saturday June 29th in North Augusta and was told I could return it in Carleton place. I returned it on June 29th at 2pm for a cost of $45 and change. I received numerous calls that I had not returned the trailer and now received a charge of 270$ which I will be taking further. Very poor service for an industry that allows flexibility of pick up and drop off. This is very disheartening and I will never use this company again!! Wait for my dispute
Candice HWhen I arrived there was no one on the premises so I had no idea where I was to go. Then when she did arrive, I was taken to a cold, mosquito infested room, where I was checked in. It took half an hour to check in. With the lack of internet in the office, I had to go outside to take a photo of myself and drivers license. That could have been done prior to arrival. When I returned to drop off the van, no one was in the office so I had to go to their house and wake up the worker. After 20 minutes of constant "errors online as the internet wasn't working" I told her to just email me the bill as I had to go. When I received my bill in French, she had charged me an extra 9 kms on my trip, which I am still waiting for a refund. 50 minutes for a check in and check out is far too long. I will not be returning.
Ashley RVery friendly and very apologetic staff, however it took an hour to pick up the rental due to technical issues and lack of cellular reception (rural area). At pick up and drop off the correct staff member was not present until after the reservation time which would have streamlined the pick up process.
Kevin YTrain staff better, took over an hour to pick up the vehicle due to not knowing how to navigate the software. They were very friendly and accommodating but more training is required to maintain a professional standard that I am used to when accessing services through U-haul.
