Online pickup through the website was horrible. Very unclear directions. Didn't work and wasted almost 20 minutes of my time, when I picked it to SAVE time. Uhaul your system really needs work. Lucky for me the office manager helped me out. A really great and caring guy. Everything went smooth after that. The location is clean and has easy parking.

The location itself was fine except that my preferred location was quite far from here… I was surprised and disappointed that I could not pick up my equipment closer to where I lived in San Pablo. I made the reservation well ahead of time and still had to drive all the way to Alameda.

Reserved truck for 10/11/20. So many mishaps with check-in via mobile service. 1) Online check-in couldn't verify my location (a required field) after several attempts even though the location feature on my phone was on. 2) Finally, had some progress on the app until it wouldn't let me take a photo of the mileage (another required field) 3) We were instructed to the wrong compartment (#2) to retrieve the vehicle key. The padlock would not open. After several attempts, we tried the password on compartment #3 instead and it worked. However, the key was to a different vehicle (a van). After an hour of calling the after-hours line (displayed on their door which we never received a call-back) and calling the main customer service line, we drove the vehicle left to us. Picked-up at 10:25a and returned it 11;50a. We left a note explaining the situation (time in, time out, mileage, vehicle numbers) with the padlock and vehicle key. We received a receipt today (10/12/20) without incident but it appears they blamed us for retrieving the wrong key. How can that be if they left us a password for the wrong compartment? We will most definitely not be using the online mobile service again.

My order was never processed and I had to be rerouted to another location when oushed back my moving time and the arrangememnts i made with my movers. I had to be rerouted to a further location which was an inconvinece and the size truck was bigger which mad me not as comfortable to drive. I was very upset. The customer service rep was amazing and she gave me a credit and found another location quickly so I give her 5 stars!

Wonderful customer service! You could not have a better team to handle the uhaul rentals. You should use their location as a training for ALL locations. The uhaul app on the other hand needs improvement. It took almost 30 minutes to get the key and process my rental. And I'm savy with apps and navigation.

I have nothing against the folks at All-Safe Storage who saved my butt. They were excellent in helping me get a U-Haul to move. What I have an issue with is U-Haul's HORRIBLE reservation system. Do you know what the two words in "reservation guarantee" mean? It's pretty clear that they don't. I made a reservation for a 10' truck on Saturday, 8/15 for a couple hours and received a reservation email with the details. After that, I didn't receive any update emails or calls, so when I came into the store at 9am, I was surprised to find out that they had no record in their system. Looking closely, my "reservation" was switched over to another U-Haul location and at a later time (1:30pm). Let it be known that no one had communicated this with me! And so much for the $50 refund. I looked online later and it turns out there was a class-action lawsuit a couple years back that proves this guarantee is complete BS. Thankfully, Lonnie and Lynn, who merely work at All-Safe and have nothing to do with U-Haul, managed to secure a cargo van for me and I was able to make my move happen that morning. In the future, I am going to do my best to avoid U-Haul at all costs. I honestly don't know how they manage to stay in business with poor customer service like this.

The gentleman that helped us out at the front desk was amazing. There was an issue with the rental before us and he hoped in to help us out as much as he possibly could. Just the nicest human ever. If I need a uhaul For anything, I'm getting it from this pick up station

Both U-haul employees and I had trouble with the software for scheduling my rental, and for returning the vehicle after hours. Other than that software glitch, everything was great. When I was on my computer at home, the softwaer would not confirm my attempt to reserve a vehicle, so I just drove to the office. At the office, when we swiped my credit card, the U-haul office computer would misread the expiration date on the credit card. Had to try 3 credit cards before getting an approval. Wasted half an hour, but U-haul staff helped everyone keep their sense of humor. Kudos to both Lynn and Lonnie Lewis!

The individuals at the site were great. However, the U-Haul mobile app leaves a great deal to be desired. Thankfully, the personnel opened early for me and quickly processed my pickup.
