First, I reserved the truck several days before at a location that has bodies in it. A young lady called me and stated that they were overbooked and asked if I wouldn’t mind picking up at a location up the street. She gave me 10 miles to accommodate the distance and I adjusted my rental pickup even though I had chosen that location because it was literally 2 miles from my storage which was across the street from the apartment that I moved into. I DID NOT GET THE TEN MILES. Next, I just would not recommend service without human contact. I had an issue that was on I-Haul’s behalf to remove a restriction that should have been removed by them a couple of months ago. There was no one to handle it. I had to stand outside and it was a light rainy morning and I had to hold on the phone and chat! YES! I contacted both because I was sitting outside a business that was closed. Then I had to wait for my already reserved rental to be approved by a character named Christopher who had me take a picture of my license FIVE times because he couldn’t see all four corners because I was holding it and he saw my fingers, despite the fact that the system had pulled my information FROM the FIRST picture that I took of my license (with my fingers showing) into U-Haul’s system. Then when I FINALLY got the already reserved rental approved. The time for my rental did not adjust off the 45 minutes that I spent on the phone with them. My rental was expected back at the original time of the already scheduled and booked appointment that I had to wait to get approved. To be fair, I can’t gauge the people at the location because I never saw or interacted with a soul.
GWENDOLYN TPlease ensure that equipment that is requested is actually in the vehicle, maybe require that the location take a photo prior to customer pick up
Alexis GPicked up the truck with only 1/8 of a tank of gas. Plus we had issues with the code to get the keys. We had not selected this location but were transferred to it.

RAE WNo assistance provided. Difficult getting access to keys. No equipment provided as requested. Charged twice for equipment that wasn't provided. Had to talk with 5 different customer service reps. One rep was dismissive of complaint and very reluctant to refund charges for poor experience. This was a terrible experience with uhaul.
