I signed up for Truck Share 24/7 to pick up the UHaul truck with the UHaul mobile app. When I tried using the mobile app on my phone to pick up the truck the app didn’t work at all, so I had to use my wife’s phone. Although I was able to use the app on my wife’s phone it kept glitching and taking me back to the beginning of the pick up process. After messing with the app for 30 to 45 minutes, I finally got through the pick up process, though it wasn’t clear that the process actually completed successfully because the app still said I needed to pick up the truck. At that point, the app instructed me to go to the counter to get the keys for the truck. What?? I used Truck Share 24/7 so I wouldn’t have to do that. I thought the keys were supposed to be somewhere I could get to without needing to go in. And Amina Express really has no building or counter for UHaul business. After another 15 to 20 minutes I finally got a phone number to call this locations UHaul person. They were frustrated because they said I didn’t tell them when I was going to be there to pick up the truck. At which point I told them that I used Truck Share 24/7 so I wouldn’t need to go through any of this frustration. After further discussion, the gentleman I was talking to on the phone called someone at a neighboring business to get the keys for me. After dealing with all of these frustrations for over an hour, I was finally able to leave with the truck. This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had and this location was creepy as hell too. I don’t think I should have to pay full price for this rental because of all of the extra work and frustration I incurred at this location. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Unless UHaul has some way to right these wrongs, I will NEVER rent from UHaul again in my life, and I will suggest the same to anyone else who asks for my thoughts and opinions and where to rent.
