It was an okay experience. The app was cumbersome and the folks at the location do not answer the phone, have a full voicemail and do not respond to the call back number request. It was a bit of a leap of faith but it got done so I guess that is what is important.

This location bad,i just drive only 37 km after i fuel 15 $_on gas , they charged me more over 12 $ more for fucking meter gas , do you guy think 37km with van cargo that too expensive, i think the van meter something wrong, and this location not so well for vehicle,never go back to this shit uhaul

Our truck was two hours late. The person that we spoke to was going to look into whether we were able to get a discount for this, however we never heard from him and were charged the full amount. Further, there was limited conversation between uhaul and the location as I received 4 phone calls within these two hours, telling me different things. It felt a bit disorganized.

I didn't like picking up the van from an alley behind the store. The van was dirty when I picked it up and the only way I found to really report it would have charged me the cleaning fee when I didn't make the mess. The parking brake was broken. Using the website to pickup and drop off equipment is cumbersome and time consuming.

I realized Hamilton branches don't have dolly any more. It would be more convenient to provide them again. They were really helpful.

It would be helpful to know that there are vehicles parked out back!!! Also - the app is quite frustrating to use for drop off. Please make it more user friendly. Less captcha and location services should be something you type in. Not gps from your phone. Super annoying!!

I ordered a furniture dolly to go with the van. At pickup, was told it had been taken off my bill because there was not one available. I don't believe I was told about this beforehand. I would have wanted to know because we were moving heavy furniture and we had to arrange another dolly ourselves quickly (not through U-haul).

I called 3 days in a row to speak with Syed and left messages with contact information. I still have not heard from him. This probably resulted in not being able to get the day and time I wanted. Extremely unprofessional. I did eventually call the 1-800 number and got a truck booked with NO thanks yo Syed Also, user prior did not sweep truck out Other than that, it was a seamless rental and would recommend this location.

there was... - what seemed like dry blood droplet(s) on the dash board - mud all over the floor inside the cabin - The employees were rude and disrespectful - - did not have the mattress covers i ordered and paid for a week or 2 in advance, this resulted in my mattresses getting damaged. When asked what to do, i was told to drive a few km in the opposite direction in order to get them... - The owner said he refuses to go inside the car and clean it, because its "against protocol", I then asked him if he ever cleans the car and he said no. Then i asked if he has been sanitizing it between customers during this pandemic. He said no. This is ridiculous. I have lost my mother to cancer 3 years ago and I was moving back to my family home with my brother to help care for my father who is old and immunocompromised. I lost one parent already and the thought of losing another is outrageous. If he had said: "please sanitize the vehicle before & after use" that makes complete sense, and letting me know I am responsible for it. As the customer I want to be able to use products and know i am safe, there was no warning that the vehicle is never cleaned, no information, absolutely nothing. The entire experience was horrendous, i wont be using this service, from this location ever again. I have already shared this story, hopefully the location is closed. The reason my letter is so long is because of how rude, standoffish, disrespectful the employees there were. And disgusting shape of the vehicle itself. Please get back to me to speak more in depth about it.

The mobile pick up was a total disaster!!! It didn't happen in the end...after an hour of trying. I would never rely on that again...terrible service!

We came to pickup the truck and it had snowed the night before, truck was covered with snow and ice, we didn't bring an ice scraper because we didn't figure we would need it, then we had to fight with the guy working to give us something to use to clean to the truck off, he just kept saying “has nothing to do with us not my problem”, very un-professional

Your phone-centered check-in was cumbersome, complex, and time-consuming. Very good for U-Haul corporate, very very bad for the customer. Staff was helpful, but I'll seek out a different rental next time.

While I understand the ‘on-line' Imperative of your booking process , it is annoying. frustrating, and difficult. Having booked a truck for an 11:30 pick up, it took until 12:20 to actually get the vehicle - the on-on-site personnel know nothing about the booking/pick-up procedure. Not their fault - they've never been taught! The truck was great - the pick-up/drop-off princess was simply dreadful. It makes be think twice about this location in the future- unfortunate since I live so close by.

The call centre isnt even in Canada and they booked the Uhaul to the wrong location in our city. When we went to collect it the guys sent us to the other location downtown and said this happens all the time. They spend their time apologizing and redirecting people to the other location. This is a waste of time and money for uhaul, work on a better call center process!

The location for the parked vehicles is horrible. You have to squeeze by containers of dirty fryer oil and if your picking up a large truck, if certain parking is taken on the street, you will not be able to get out.

We were overcharged on mileage. We are certain of it. The drive we did was less than 2 kilometers and we did a few trips but not as much as you say. I would estimate we were overcharged 30 per cent. Next time we will take notes and if we catch you we are going to report it media gov web. No way you are getting away with this. As a matter of fact maybe i will just call cbc about right now. They can do an expose on you. We know you rig the mileage to rip off customer.

The truck had serious mechanical hazards. The transmission stick was wobbly. The Steering had alignment issues. The safety brake got stuck. And on top of it all, the supposed fast and easy online checkin took over 35 minutes.

I dropped off the truck and received an email the next day noting a late return! Apparently the system messed up and they didn't know where the truck was! I had to call to get this straightened out. Overall not a great experience with your company

Improve the process, it takes forever to upload photos and all these stuffs of selfie and dl.. I dont know why you guys have this shitty application.. it can be really easy to use if there are less questions and less uploading things. And what is the meaning of application if you cannot upload any photos.. today i literally wasted exactly half hour for pick up proces. And your agent told me to go to browser of mobile, and i m like why the hell there is an application if i have to go to browser??????????????

Hello, our original booking was at 524 Upper Wellington, Hamilton and we ended up at 180 Queen Street because we arrived at 524 Upper Wellington exactly at closing time and the U-Haul representative would not process our rental. We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. and we arrived at exactly 8:00. The “Open” sign was still on and the representative was outside. He informed me, fairly brusquely, that they were closed and wouldn't complete our rental (I had already completed the online check-in, so it should have been a matter of simply delivering the keys). The representative told me that he “doesn't get paid for overtime” and that I should have been there at 7:30 for my reservation. I was quite surprised as this failure of customer service was inconsistent with the very good customer service that I received on the phone both before and after this interaction. Had this representative taken the 5 minutes to complete our reservation, it would have enhanced the customer experience significantly - instead we were left with a very unpleasant experience relating to a single person's conduct.

Have the truck ready to be picked up and driven away. Have items that were instructed to be rented placed in the vehicle before hand. Do not ask customer to move vehicles for you. Clean bushes so I can comfortably get into vehicle.

I am trying to print my receipt. Why do you have such a weird attachment? Why is it not just a normal pdf. file that I can print with pressing print on my email computer screen? I have to select some kind of app. Some of us are senior citizens and want convenience. I am not a technical person. You are frustrating me because I need a paper copy of the receipt for tax purposes. Get some older people on your computer crew so they can tell you are frustrating the young people make it.

This location was swarmed in very badly behaved school children. Swinging an ax and crowbar around the truck and vehicles parked nearby. We felt unsafe parking our vehicle in this parking lot. The staff working seemed to find the children amusing.
