Upon picking up the 15' truck to do a one way trip, the truck had a half drunk soda on the rear bumper. The truck was dirty, and only had a quarter of a tank of gas in it. Usually Uhaul is competitive in every way with Penske, especially price, but they should do a walk around, clean, and fill the tank. I used to rent Caterpillar equipment, and that's what I did, renting the world's #1 construction equipment company. Also, I TOTALLY disagree with Uhaul's gas policy. I believe every rental should be filled 100%. Return it filled or pay big time. I don't want to start out on a quarter of a tank. We rented three trucks in three weeks. A 20', 26', and 15' foot trucks. Overall, everything went very well, and the Uhaul agents were very friendly and accommodating.

The trailer was garbage and pulled horribly. I’ve been towing trailers of all sizes and types for decades and this ranks as a low. The worst part was there was no jack on the trailer. So getting it on and off the truck was dangerous at best. I used the trailer to take equipment to a tradeshow event, which of course had limited truck/trailer parking. It would have been amazing if I could have dropped the trailer and truck in adjacent spaces but because I couldn’t drop the trailer I was forced to park about a mile from my hotel. Thanks for that. I will never ever rent one of these trailers again under any circumstances.

STEPHEN AThe actual vehicle was worn out. Should be retired. Had to yell to be heard between driver and passenger. Cup/console was not secured. Cups kept falling out. Vehicle is severely dated. At least the engine, radio and ac worked.
