Notify customerBEFORE their arrival that their reserved equipment has not been turned in or that the UHaul rep is working on locating that equipment or attempting to find replacement When I showed up and learned my equipment was not available I asked rep now what? He said I'd probably have to drive 80 miles east or west to next UHaul store to pick up trailer I had to wait 2 hrs for trailer to get back and had to ask it be cleaned out Worst UHaul experience ever!!!Pam R.

The person in Bottineau was awesome after our horrible experience and having to drive to Bottineau to get our trailer. A long distance! Completely and horribly altered our moving plans! Added a lot more stress due to having to travel 2.5 hours to get the trailer when we reserved to pick it up in our hometown of Minot, ND!!!! Most awful experience. U-Haul needs to figure out a new system for their rentals. Have now heard several of the same stories. So glad to be done with Uhaul. The lady who notified us was awful, as well out of Fargo. If it wasn't for the Bottineau people being so friendly and kind I might have had a stroke over my anger. Kudos to Bottineau!Penny B.
Made me drive an hour and a half to pick up a smaller uhaul than I ordered, only to find out the one I ordered was there. No assistance with getting the trailer hooked up had to rely on random passerby to lift 6x12 trailerZach L.
I was supposed to pick up my U-haul in Minot N.D. got there "No Trailer" had to drive to Buttenau N.D the next day to pick up a Trailer there . U - Haul is Not very dependableLore W.
I placed a reservation for a car dolly. I called the minot uhaul facility (which is where I was told the dolly would be) the morning of my scheduled pick up date to confirm availability because I had not gotten any confirmation at that time. The representative I spoke with said that there was, in fact, a dolly there for me to use. Three house before my scheduled pick up time I received a text saying that the trailer I was renting is actually located in botineau, which was an hour out of my way. Upon arrival in botineau I was told that the dolly I RESERVED was rented out. The location manager was kind enough to call the gentleman back to his store so I could get the trailer I reserved. After waiting an hour for the gentleman with my dolly to come back the location manager in botineau had plenty of issues processing the transaction. He eventually called the uhaul support number multiple times before they just told him to process the order as a walk-in. I spent over 4 hours dealing with this debacle.Steven J.

Some of the tires had thin tread and had dry rot, but we didn't have any trouble with them on our trip. The agent I spoke to on the phone when I made the reservation was very pleasant to speak with, but didn't know the location I was picking up at didn't take cash. Overall I had a good experience with U-Haul.leandrea H.
Put a jack on the hitch of the trailer so a person can just back under it and no one has to lift it up off the ground and wait for the person to back the vehicle up. That is not good for any persons back.brandi P.

The truck needs to be inspected a little better before the customer drives away in it. The hood was not latched and flew up on the highway. It could have been very bad!Erica B.
I didn't get the truck size I requested & charged the insurance I didn't want. The truck was not clean it had melted dried out ice cream on the dash board. The guys who worked there didn't do an inspection of the uhaul before we left either.Jessica G.

We reserved your trailer almost a month before we needed it. Two days before we were to pick it up, we received a call that Minot's location did not have one for us. Told us if we wanted one we would have to drive two hours to the next town for one. No apologies were given, and I called the girl back at the Minot location to ask why we couldn't have the one in front of the store, she said some one else reserved before us was going to get that one. She did not apologize, she basically told me I was out of luck. I told her that I wanted a discount because we had to drive two hours, so she said she could take $50 off. The Minot location is in need of some customer service skills. Botteneu's employees were friendly and very apologetic to our situation.Chris R.

The tires on the trailer were extremely worn with no tread left whatsoever and cords showing on the inside edge of the tires. Not the locations fault but someone should be changing the tires before they get to that stage.Gordon D.

The guy working was new so did not know the U-Haul website very well. I finally just completed the rental on the computer myself. Having been a U-Haul dealer in the past, I also know that he should have made sure it was hooked up correctly and the lights all worked. Not done, but we did it ourselves.Nancy K O.
This is not the location we opted for, we asked for Minot, we stopped at the Minot store on Friday before we picked up and they answered our questions and said everything would be ready. The afternoon before we were to pick up our trailer a person from Bismarck Uhaul called and said they didn't have a trailer and if we wanted one we would have to go to Bottineau to get one and basically too bad, if we didn't want to go there we didn't have one. Have never dealt with someone so rude and uncaring. Asked to talk to her manager, had to call back to get manager on day to pick up trailer, she said they would not bring the trailer to Minot, and she didn't care either, she did say we would get a $50 discount for our troubles. That didn't happen, Uhaul still charged us full price. The people in Bottineau were nice but said there was nothing they could do. Done with U-Haul, will never use it again. Your people/manager in Bismarck were unbelievably rude and totally unprofessional.Vickie F.
Needed an oil change and all he did was hit the reset on it. To my knowledge if he would have changed the oil we would have gotten better gas mileage. Didn't like driving 160 miles round trip to get uhaul and wasting 3 1/2 hours of our loading time. Was told the company that we picked it up at was closed on Sunday when it was really open. The location was great, all the franchisees have been great my only issue is with the reservation system. I have reserved two tow dollies and it is as if these reservations don't exist after I've driven hours out of the way to pick up. Its sad, it really makes me feel sorry for uhaul as a corporation.Zebulon B.
When I reserved my uhaul I picked a destination close to where I was at and it said available. However when we got our conformation call we had to drive 75 miles out of the way because the place where I reserved my uhaul really did not have what we needed.Danielle N.
