There won't be a next time. You lie cheat and steal. You owe me money. I could of picked up my rental in Minot and there were 2 of us who saw the truck, we stopped to inquire about it before driving 80 miles to get one. They told us oh no traffic needs this one no explanation. With a reservation in for weeks it should be your job to make sure the equipment your receiving payment for be where it should be. You cost me 240 miles in gas before the trip even started. You think offering people an extra day or extra miles somehow makes a difference it doesn't. Your greedy and only care about your bottom line. I would not rent from them again. When Americans are suffering at the hands you others they can be sure that u-haul will be there to turn the knife for profitSheri Z.

I had to go to another U-HAUL site 100 miles away to get what I neededBarry M.
The only problem we had was we were dropping off when the store was not open. Left paper work in trailer & message on phone. TRIED to return online but the system kept wanting me to return a truck nit trailer. Called customer service & on hold for over 10 minutes.Craig N.
We rented a truck a month in advance a mile from our house. When we went to get truck we had to drive an hour and a half out of our way. They did not pay for our gas or give us a discount. They gave us an extra day and a 100 miles extra. I informed them we didnt need extra days and had more than enough miles. The woman on the phone basically told me take it or leave it. If it wasnt moving day for us I would have told her to stick it. We was given a new truck that ran good. It was dirty in the hauling area. They charged us way to much and put us goimg to the wrong state. Then tried to charge us an additional almost $400 00. I will never use Uhaul again or recommend them to anyone. I will say the guys at Clifton & Company was very helpful and got the extra charges dropped. Thank you guys for making an awful experience a little better.Dana S.
The guy who hooked up trailer didn't check lights or he would have noticed it wasn't plugged in to trailer. The plug to car was attached but not the connection to trailer, he took a photo of it so if you look at photo you will see it isn't connected. I drove around Minot for a few hours with out lights, someone pointed it to me later on. Ensure the guys follow all the stepsjohn S.
Truck had trash in it covered in snow not prepared for pick up. Had to delay my move 8 hours because the truck wasn't at the correct location and there was no tow dolly at this location and had to drive back at forth to get my car before I could move. Had to cancel movers with non refundable payment because of the delay. No sympathy or anything.Matthew M.

When someone reserves online and specifies a location for pickup, verify the equipment will be there or do not allow the consumer to complete the reservation. Don't let consumers assume they have the location of their choice and then change it only days before pickup. Not good service.Tim B.

Try to have rentals in the location they are renting from. After driving 1178 miles to move my daughter to my home, we had to drive an additional 80 miles to pick up our rental. Upon pick up the paperwork said the tank was at 1/2. When we started to take off it was between 1/4 & 1/2 of a tank. Moving is already an inconvenience and time consuming. But this was more frustrating overall. Then I called to check on pricing to rent an auto transport for my daughter's car since i Already had a 20' truck thinking it would be less stress for the move. I was quoted over $600 for the trailer. It cost me less to fill the gas tank in her car for the move. At this point, I will not use Uhaul services again or refer anyone to this company.AMANDA M.

It was very unexpected to pick up the trailer in Bottineau, which meant and extra 200 miles of driving. The current shortage of availability was certainly a surprize, and the call to visit about "options" was not helpful, the message sent should have been more direct.JASON S.
I requested insurance for peice of mind with the trailer I rented and ended up paying $25.oo for the lowest insurance available. I feel that this option of insurance is Overpriced and is taking advantage of customers who want coverage whillst usinng your triailers. I have used Uhaul trailers in the USA and Canada and I was shocked at the price and level of coverage. We were told to ensure rented trailer was cleaned out upon return or we would be charged a fee by Uhaul-how brazen this was. Notify customerBEFORE their arrival that their reserved equipment has not been turned in or that the UHaul rep is working on locating that equipment or attempting to find replacement When I showed up and learned my equipment was not available I asked rep now what? He said I'd probably have to drive 80 miles east or west to next UHaul store to pick up trailer I had to wait 2 hrs for trailer to get back and had to ask it be cleaned out Worst UHaul experience ever!!!Pam R.

The person in Bottineau was awesome after our horrible experience and having to drive to Bottineau to get our trailer. A long distance! Completely and horribly altered our moving plans! Added a lot more stress due to having to travel 2.5 hours to get the trailer when we reserved to pick it up in our hometown of Minot, ND!!!! Most awful experience. U-Haul needs to figure out a new system for their rentals. Have now heard several of the same stories. So glad to be done with Uhaul. The lady who notified us was awful, as well out of Fargo. If it wasn't for the Bottineau people being so friendly and kind I might have had a stroke over my anger. Kudos to Bottineau!Penny B.
Made me drive an hour and a half to pick up a smaller uhaul than I ordered, only to find out the one I ordered was there. No assistance with getting the trailer hooked up had to rely on random passerby to lift 6x12 trailerZach L.
I was supposed to pick up my U-haul in Minot N.D. got there "No Trailer" had to drive to Buttenau N.D the next day to pick up a Trailer there . U - Haul is Not very dependableLore W.
I placed a reservation for a car dolly. I called the minot uhaul facility (which is where I was told the dolly would be) the morning of my scheduled pick up date to confirm availability because I had not gotten any confirmation at that time. The representative I spoke with said that there was, in fact, a dolly there for me to use. Three house before my scheduled pick up time I received a text saying that the trailer I was renting is actually located in botineau, which was an hour out of my way. Upon arrival in botineau I was told that the dolly I RESERVED was rented out. The location manager was kind enough to call the gentleman back to his store so I could get the trailer I reserved. After waiting an hour for the gentleman with my dolly to come back the location manager in botineau had plenty of issues processing the transaction. He eventually called the uhaul support number multiple times before they just told him to process the order as a walk-in. I spent over 4 hours dealing with this debacle.Steven J.
