Was charged $100 deposit even though I paid with a credit card. Called Uhaul ahead of time to make sure there wasn't a deposit required and was told if I paid with a credit card there was no deposit required.

The advertised price per mile was .89 and when I read the contract it had been changed to 1.09 per mile without being notified. This in my opinion was fraudulent! I would never have rented from uhaul if I knew this has happened. Very dishonest

The attendant should explain the features of the truck such as the Tow/Haul setting before the customer sets off. Not a U-Haul site issue, but the trucks in this day and age should have backup cameras and cruise control. The backup camera should be on full time to act as a central mirror.

The order was for Copperopolis. The truck was originally waiting for us in Angels Camp. Not good. We were not informed of this, so went to Copperopolis. Not good. Problem was fixed, fortunately, and on time.

Make sure the truck is swept out before telling the next customer that they need to sweep out the truck before returning it. Also, provide the furniture blankets I paid for. And lastly, don't have small children in the office, distracting both the customer and the employee from making sure everything ordered is provided. I now have a couple of foot-long mud stains on the top of my $3,000 California king pillowtop mattress because I didn't have the blankets to keep the mud off of it while moving in the rain.

Luckily I was pretty flexible with my move. I made a 24hr reservation, pick up at 4pm return at 4pm the next day. The next day I get a call stating the truck I had made reservations for had a later reservation and was going on a one way trip to L.A. And that if I didn't have it back by 1 instead of 4 I was SOL. I am in a small town so I understand trucks here are limited. Other than that the lady in the office was very nice and the vehicle was clean and ready to go when I arrived to 5 stars for that.

Not give confirmation numbers and then not have the truck when u arrive to pick it up. Also not lie and say u spoke to a person about their reservation when u did not and put it in notes. U haul has terrible customer service. Carol helped after I pushed and asked about another truck. It is not her fault u haul cannot get their act together and really don't care. You are not the only truck rent all around.

When you have to buy new trucks get a bigger motor. Or even better get a Diesel motor. I super needed a 26 foot,But none to be found. Maybe there will be a 26 foot for next weekend?? The lady was nice

We made a reservation online a week before pickup. Luckily we decided to pop in a couple days before just to make sure everything was good. They had no reservation for us and then raised the prices on us by over $100. We were lucky to even get a truck. When we went back the day of to pick it up, the lady got my reservation confused with someone else even though they were under totally different names and was confused about every aspect of the transaction in general. It took over half an hour for her to finally get everything straightened out. When we got the truck, it was filthy. There were so many bug splatters on the windshield we could barely see. The inside smelled funny and was dirty. It was a miserable experience in general.
