There is no clear indications it's a uhaul place nor are there any visible instructions on which driveway to use, what the locked gates codes are, where to take your equipment and no one answered the phone. A guy came over on a golf cart, opened the gate and took off. He said nothing! A few minutes later he came back, I said do I follow you you, he nodded yes. He took off. I got to where he was, he said "park it against the wall"...he dropped the trailer and took off again. He got quite a distance from me, almost out of my sight, stopped and waved me to him and he took off. We got to the gate, he put in a code and took off again. He did not say anything else. Not a thank you, nothing about my receipt, nothing about the trailer...NOTHING. he looked angry, he was rude and gave you the feeling you were interrupting his day.
DEANNA BThe front desk clerk was rude, and the office smelled like feces. The clerk did not say hello and didn’t respond when others said hello to him. He did the same thing to another customer while we were in their office. The truck bed was full of pine needles when we picked up the truck. I wouldn’t recommend giving your business to this location.

DALJIT GI only used this location after I was informed uhaul didn't have the truck and car trailer I had reserved two weeks earlier. As a result, I had to drive 60 miles out of my way to get the truck and another 90 miles south for the trailer for a round trip total of 250 miles. Just to get the equipment I had reserved 1 mile from my house. I realize that is of no fault of the Angels Camp facility but Uhaul gives me no option here to review the original facility where I reserved the equipment.
JONATHAN BThis was a complete nightmare. I reserved a 20 footer a month in advance at the North Main St. Angels Camp, CA location. Immediately the system rerouted me to Sonora which would add 2 hours to our trip. I called Sonora Uhaul, they said they can't do anything about it and to call Angels Camp. I call Angels Camp, the woman on the phone says okay we have the reservation changed to Angels Camp and we will make sure to have a 20 footer for you on that day. I called Angels Camp two weeks later to verify that we were in Angels Camp & would have the 20 footer available. This time a man answered, he said, oh the address is not right on my end, let me call you back. He never called back. I called a few days later, a different woman answered this time. She told me, oh we cannot get a 20 footer here. I said, I was told originally that you could get a 20 footer at this location. She said, call me back in an hour. I called her back, she said you have to call Uhaul to have the location changed. So I called Uhaul, and had the location manager change my location back to Angels Camp. I call the Angels Camp location again and tell her the location is changed. She says, okay she is going to call a different person that organizes where the trucks go and for me to call her back next Wednesday. This was a Friday and we were moving the following Saturday. I've been trying to deal with this for almost a month now. I call Wednesday, the man answers again and says yup we have a 20 footer for you this Saturday & if not, a 15 footer will be available. I said okay great! The day before my location is changed to Sonora again! I receive a call from Uhaul confirming my appointment but in Angels Camp. I call the Uhaul number back, the woman says uh oh there is no 15 or 20 footer in Angels camp at all. The only thing they have is a 10 footer. At this point I have no choice but to accept the 10 footer or have nothing at all. So we go Saturday morning to a different Angels Camp location at B-Secured Self Storage to pick up the Uhaul and the manager says, our power was out I can't check out any Uhauls. Another person was sitting there in the same situation as me. The power was back on at this point but the manager said the internet wasn't working. We, the customers were trying to figure out for him how to solve the problem as he was just sitting there dumb struck and not solving the problem. We eventually go back home as we are wasting time and continue to pack. The B-Secured manager calls back and says okay we can check your truck out now. He had us call Uhaul to complete the checkout. I cannot believe as the manager he had not thought of this sooner or right away!! We realize that we can rent a trailer too so we add that on. We needed the 20 footer. Having only the 10 footer & trailer made it so we had to take 3 trips back and forth instead of one. Thats a lot more miles and gas!! Way out of our budget. We had to spend twice as much than we could afford. I would appreciate some form of compensation for the major inconvenience and lack of competence on the Uhaul employees at both Angels Camp locations. The North Main street Angels Camp location then calls us Monday after all this and they cannot find the key. We accidentally put it in the wrong spot because there was no indication as to where to drop it. The guy on the phone says, oh we have two 20 footers today here. I was fuming as we had gone through so much to try to reserve them for the day we needed them and him saying that was completely unnecessary. He said, oh well the people kept them three days longer than they were supposed to. I said I reserved this a month ago and have talked to 7+ people and was guaranteed a 20 footer. This has been a nightmare. And I know I'm not the only one that had a terrible experience.
Briana CAll worked well. Renting facility assisted me in obtaining the repairs to the trailer. The roadside assistance lady was most efficient, considering the situation I was having. It was a fun adventure.
AARON CThe app is very frustrating to use. I was hauling furniture. Had to go home and clean the hay out of the trailer to use it.
Ronald DVery bad phone experience with changing the drop off location for the trailer. I was initially told when making the reservation by your phone service that I could change the drop-off location when picking up the trailer, but the pick-up location said I needed to call u-haul @ 888.328.4285 before dropping off the trailer. The person I spoke to at this number was continually speaking over me to insist I drive 2 hours round trip (Sonora) for the drop-off when there is a very large u-haul dealership 15 minutes from my home where I also have a travel trailer stored. She kept insisting there was no availability at the latter location and would not listen to me when telling her that its a huge open location that always has a spot, and of course they did (Hwy 49). The u-haul customer service person hung up on me so I changed the drop off by calling the closer u-haul dealership directly…so disappointing and frustrating. I’m guessing there was a reservation for the trailer at the Sonora location but I am not a delivery service for u-haul when there is a location at a fraction of the distance, especially after being told I could change the location at the time of making the reservation - shame on you and your customer service for attempting to place extra cost, time, and frustration on the consumer. Next time, I will look elsewhere for my truck/trailer rental even if the cost is slightly more.

Amanda KWe had our location changed multiple times when I talked to the lady she said that should would give us a free day for the inconvenience and I took her up on the offer but when I picked it up they had me pay for both days but other then that it was smooth just frustrating.
Jeremy SAngels camp poor customer service. Just really laziness. Drop off location horrible No signs that indicate U-Haul place. Gentleman came over no hello just started accusing us of dent or scratch which of course not true. No email receipt of return. Somehow owe another $3.00. What???? Hopefully never again.

The maintenance guy had the trailer hooked up for me and ready to do the paperwork by the time the manager returned. Having to do my drivers license by email and photos on my iPhone is a bit over the top !! just let the store take a copy.

Michael dInternet was down. The guy acted like he was high, did every so slow! It took a half an hour to get my truck!! I was scheduled at 10 I got there at 10. He just kind of sat there when I came in. It was like he didn’t want me to get the truck. All kind of weird

Scott PSince you are supposed to be able to return 24/7, insure company gives gate codes if needed. We called during business hours, and no one answered. We went to the location, but cannot get in until a patron, who had a storage unit gave us the code. Then when we got ready to leave after dropping the trailer off, we were locked in and didn’t know the gate code to get out.

JULIANNE CRented two trucks, a trailer, and furniture pads over the course of a month. One truck’s A/C didn’t work in over 100 degree days. One mix-up in how the pads were checked out to me resulted in a 15 minute wait to return them. Most people were polite and accommodating. One EE was lazy at the point of one-way return location. He couldn’t anticipate what was the next step in getting the pads out of my truck and just stood there until directed by his supervisor. For the most part it was an easy process renting and dropping off.
DON DI had to travel 40 min to Angels Camp to find a 5x8 trailer to haul out of town. I originally called around to several locations including Manteca, Escalon, and Stockton. Manteca and Escalon never picked up the phone. I called the UHaul corporate number and got informed that some trailers are for in town only..wasnt told this at multiple locations I checked with.. I couldn’t believe how far I had to travel to find one of these after checking for a week. Customer service at the desk was bad at Angels Camp.. give them a call and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Joel SI think we were over charged for our milage. It was my fault I didn't pay attention to that. But according to google time line, ( I don't know if it's right or not) but they over charged us 24 miles. And at 1.29 a mile. When your moving and broke that's a lot of money these days. Anyway next time I will pay attention. And they never explained we could go on line to turn it in or about mileage. And taking a picture of gas gadge.

Alan TAfter finally finding the place with horrible signage I found they did not have an appliance dolly that my reservation said they had. This was a key requirement for my move. I then paid for the blankets I never got. Just a dismal experience across the board.

Kevin KWhen I scheduled my truck it was for a different pickup location. However, that location did not have a truck to go one way. So uhaul had to schedule from a different location, costing me an additional 1200.00. Since the schedule issue was a uhaul issue and not my choice, I don’t believe I shou have had to pay an additional cost, especially since I had to travel an additional hour to pickup the truck. This was just wrong!!!
