We had to drive 50 miles to pick up the truck qlwhich was sitting along side a road with no one around, the tires were in very poor condition and we were moving about 1500 miles from that location! I had to call to get someone to bring a key for the truck, then someone called me and took my card number over the phone, I had no idea who we were dealing with and he didn't either because he NEVER asked for any kind of identification. I had reserved it at Tarpon Storage in Port Isabel, Tx. but Uhaul wouldn't get it to that location but after I complained I was given a $35. credit which barely covered the trip we had to get the truck. After loading all our belongings and ready to start our trip, we had no brake lights or turn signals on the car transporter we were pulling, so after being on hold for over 30 minutes at a time several phone calls later, I finally got someone to get a repair man out to check it out, he couldn't fix it so we were in a hotel for the night, the SAME repairman was sent back out the next day again, finally they got and electrician out to do the repair, so now we are 2 days late getting headed to our new destination. It was just a complete circus, the amount of time I spent on hold trying to get this problem taken care of was ridiculous, then when we turned the truck in at Decatur ,IL. The gas gauge was 1 needle under the 1/4 on the gas gauge mark so they charged us an additional $46. !!!! When we got to our destination to put our belongs into the 2 Uhaul storage units that I had reserved, I was told that they didn't have any available, I had the confirmation number from the person who made my reservation over the phone but was told they were not available!! I feel that Uhaul owes us some reimbursement for all the issues we have been thru. I would like someone from your management team to get in contact with me. Thank you.Michael W.
