I called before my pickup due to cold weather asking for tires to be checked and truck to be started. I got "we just opened", but the truck was running when I arrived and was full of fuel. When I asked about air pressure in the tires I was told "we just rent them, we don't service them". There was snow and ice on the windshield (as expected) but no scraper in the truck, I grabbed a tire gauge and scraper from my vehicle. As soon as I went to "drive away" the check engine light came on. I was offered the 26' truck (way too big for my needs and number of miles to be driven), while the gentleman talked with someone on the phone asking "what I wanted to do about it". I was frustrated, I decided to check the gas cap, all the gauges were fine, and I took the truck, hoping for the best. Yes, it was 8:30 in the morning. Yes, it was very cold. I expected more care to be given, not less! On the plus side, I had ZERO trouble with the truck, though the gas mileage was very poor, 11mpg for a 10' truck, guessing between the cold and whatever the engine code is from, that was the result.
TINA CI spent 45 minutes trying to do the drop off procedure only to be told that It couldn’t be completed.
DOUGLAS BI was way overcharged for just a one day rental.almlst $200 which is bullshit and all the hidden charges are ridiculous.they fucking suck

ALECIA RLocation's delay to get my auto transport ready cost me $300, which they refused to refund. I paid the load/offloading team for 7 hours ($700) for a 3 hours job. Very bad experience.
Michael TThe service associated was nice and courteous. However, when I picked truck she told me that when I returned the truck I would get a credit for any extra gas in it beyond the 1/4 tank which I checked it out with. When I returned it, the truck had a half tank. However, when I stopped by for a final bill she handed me a receipt which gave no credit for that extra 12 gallons of gas. She called the owner and he said they only give credit if returned full. That is not faur.

Bradford F1. The fact that I had to drive 40 min west of my home to find the trailer we needed was very inconvenient. There are several Uhaul facilities near me which none could provide what I needed. Even when I altered my options. 2. If I drove 20 min to the east of my home, I would have to pay nearly $200 more for the EXACT same reservation. That is truly ridiculous and insane! The prices SHOULD not fluctuate that much in the same area. 3. The tire on the driver side had a hole and was flat - we had to plug the tire before driving it 7 hours. That should have been checked by the facility before we left... I reported the tire but never received any response from Uhaul regarding our inconvenience. I have used Uhaul several times and was disappointed with the availability and prices quoted.

Robert MBatteries and Things did a great job with a total mess from UHaul. UHaul changed the resv., then at the last minute changed the pickup location. UHaul did not allow Batteries and Things time to clean the most disgusting truck I have ever been in before pickup. UHaul needs to do a better job handling online reservations!
Chris PSometimes suggesting improvements to an already good process that was put together by employees who know their business can result in that process being not so good.
Harold Mthe drop off location was changed on the contract from naperville to romeoville and I had to call to change the drop off location back to naperville. Other than that, everything was good!
KENDRA LThe staff was friendly and professional: +1 star Vehicle nicely maintained: +1 star I forgot my water bottle in the vehicle and they returned it to me: +1 star Because I'm in a good mood: +1 star There was BROKEN glass all over the back of the truck in which I had to just move to the corner since I didn't have anything besides plastic bags to put the glass into. -1 star While I was highly disappointed in this, I'm sure it's not something that usually happens. So, I'm not going to rate one star out of spite.

MATT J | Overall ExperienceThis review is for uhaul online services (not Batteries and Things, INC) - When submitting a preference online for location and time, if your location is going to be changed by 30 miles and your pick up time by 4 hours, the customer should be notified. When these changes occur, the customer should also be contacted so account can be updated so there are no issues when attempting to check in via 24/7 truck share mobile, as this also delayed my trip by 30 additional minutes.

Albert GDoors on truck was frozen up with ice. Had to clean the truck off and let it warm up for at least 30 mins. When I went inside I was offered a ice scraper to clean off the truck. Area was not even plowed were trucks were parked. The concern was to get the 2 trucks that were being transferred a few blocks away for that dealer. Why transfer trucks customer could of easily picked up from this location. So 2 dealers (Rental Pro's and Batteries in more) made a paying customer deal with there own rental. Time to start renting with another company

Bryan NThe truck was on empty when I picked it up upon arrival. While I did get a fuel credit (VERY HELPFUL as it essentially paid for the fuel usage for us) it was not convenient to have to fill up before having to meet my moving crew as we were on a tight schedule. The staff was super friendly though and this was a very minor inconvienience. Because of the hours of operation at this location and because I picked up the truck right at opening I completely understand how it happened. Everything else was great!
Jennifer Dchains are not the correct length and very difficult to change. Tongue weight is quite high for me to lift. Chain hooks do not fit a uhaul hitch easily.
