This location & rental experience was a major disappointment. I had booked a 15 foot truck with moving blankets, furniture dolly’s, & and appliance hand truck. When I arrived to pick up the truck, a U-Haul rep was not there, only a guy who had just started working for the storage facility the truck had been parked at. He had received no training (he had told me this, I felt bad for him as he was trying hard to help me but had no idea what was going on, not his fault!) & he said he could only contact management by text & not phone call as management was on vacation. It took a long time to find the key, & then no blankets/dollys/hand trucks were included. When I asked if I could pick up those items at another U-Haul location I was told no via text through this poor guy. I was told other U-Haul locations were already closed and I was told via text, through this guy, that I would get a refund. Nothing in writing confirming the refund, nothing via email. I then had to both buy and borrow equipment last minute for moving large furniture across 3 states. Again, I don’t blame the new guy for this, he was nice and as helpful as he could be in this situation. This is embarrassing for management & this is not how you should treat customers or new employees. Communicating for your business via text only, through a NEW employee, is not the customer service I expected from UHaul. It’s not the customer service I expect from any reputable business. I’ve used UHaul for all my moves in the past but will look for another company next time.

Make customers aware that this location is a U-Haul affiliate so no customer service there. They can ONLY pickup via the app.

The people working there were super super super super nice, but the truck didn't have any air conditioning working.
