Returning the truck after hours was frustrating. I logged as directed when returning the keys. It took me to a page that asked me what kind of truck did I want to rent. No instructions to follow came up. After 25 frustrating minutes standing in the heat, I finally called UHaul and concluded the returning process on the phone.manuel R.

I had completed all steps for express checkout online, but the process still took 20 minutes. Also, the address of the establishment was confusing. It has a Milpas street address, but it's actually on a side street. I tried to call several times to clarify the location, but no one answered the calls.Michael S.

No blankets to rent. The addres is 732 N. Milpas St. That is the address of a restauraunt. After driving up and down the street for a time we called U-Haul. They then prompted us to drive down De La Guerra St. The mecanic business also has two trucks. At minimum, we should have been told it was not viewable from Milpas Street. When picking up the truck, it was very difficult to get the information through a web browser. Had to be instructed from a customer representative to download the app and then it worked better. The two furniture dollies that I ordered were not in the truck and I was not told that they were out. When going to a local U-Haul store to hopefully get two furniture dollies for the trip, they were also out and could not locate a nearby U-Haul that had them in stock. Had to purchase them for the trip. Even though the truck had air-conditioning, it did not work the whole six hour trip. It was 105Â° out and it was a very warm day to travel with no air-conditioning. Checked in and wanted a dolly and regular hand truck but they didn't have any. We checked in ahead of time so we had an easy check in and an easy drop off. Hard to find location since it was on an alleyway coming off of Milpas Street. Hard to park on Monday mornings since they had street sweeping in the surrounding neighborhood. Tank half full so we added about 2 gallons of gas for doing less than 10 miles driving.Raymond O.

I only put 8 miles on the truck. When I picked the truck up the fuel gauge red just under half a tank. When I returned the truck it was just under half a tank. I only put 8 miles on the truck and the station charged me 18 dollars for three gallons of gas. The station never even put gas in the truck. The station charged me for the three gallons less than two min from me returning the truck. If the truck used three gallons of fuel in 8 miles there is something wrong with the truck.ANTHONYANDREW H.

Nothing was out of the ordinary, I was a few minutes late and there was no issue when it came to pick up the rental. Quick, affordable and reliable. Would definitely use again. Cargo van had a nice back up camera and was a smooth drive. Had a little trouble finding the gas compartment when it was time to fill up, but I found it right in the drivers side with the door open. That was my only problem! Other than that though, 10/10FARRAH G.

today I get an email with an extra charge of $20 for after hrs, we returned the truck earlier at 4:00 pm. Pick up time was at 10 am. 6 hours only. Its NOT a reason to charge $20 extra Also $5 for a sale. We did NOT purchase nothing. To Bad! I sent an email questioning and not answer.FERNANDO D.
This isn't my first experience with unethical billing and suspicious fees from the rogue's gallery of Uhaiul. The mechanic/Uhaul representative call me later that evening after my move and said, "You left the van dirty. There's a $25 cleaning fee if you don't come back and clean it yourself." You cannot see that this is a uhaul drop off location easily. Only indication of the Uhaul location is a drop box located behind a corner. pulled over on the street hopped out the car to ask the mechanics if this was the correct place. They stated they could not help and were closing. Directed me where to park. I had to do the return on the phone, it was not clear or easy to return the truck on the phone. Would not recommend for a drop off location, not easy, clear or accessible.Anna C.

The van had not been checked in or cleaned upon pickup so we had to wait. The app was not functioning properly and kept crashing and telling me there was an error. There was damage that had not been recorded that thankfully I noticed before checking it out.Thomas W.

Original reservation was for another location. The one van they had for rental was involved in an accident the previous evening. I learned of this when I arrived at the original pick up location. UHaul did not contact me tor provide a van at any other local locations. Fortunately I was able to rent a van at a nearby location. The rental rep was good, tried to oversell rental insurance, the van was clean inside and mechanically sound. The exterior was dirty especially the windshield, there was no washer fluid, which made visibility less than optimal.BRUCE R.

U-haul placed moving pads in my vehicle, which I did not notice until I got to my location. I used them because they were in the truck, but there was no proactive or obvious advertising charge for such service. This is entrapment at its best, and just really, really, really poor customer manipulation at its worst. U-haul is a terrible company and deserves to be noted as such. I will not be using them again; I will share my experience with my friends and family. The private location and its employees that served me on behalf of U-haul (though not U-haul employees) were wonderful and should be noted as such. U-haul as a company = poor.rosary leo D.

NO lesson on how doors operate. Side panel would not open - turns out it was on the key ring. Who knew? When I turned the van in and complained and he THEN showed me, I said that I should have been given this lesson up front. He said "NO WAY". Upon arriving at the drop off location, the attendant stated that he wouldn't be able to check the truck in immediately because they were busy. I requested that he check it in just so I knew there weren't any extra charges. He assured everything was fine and I wouldn't be charged anything else. This rental was returned on time, but I ended up being charged an extra day due to the truck being â€œchecked inâ€ about 20 minutes after it was dropped it off.Tyler R.
