The van had not been checked in or cleaned upon pickup so we had to wait. The app was not functioning properly and kept crashing and telling me there was an error. There was damage that had not been recorded that thankfully I noticed before checking it out.

Original reservation was for another location. The one van they had for rental was involved in an accident the previous evening. I learned of this when I arrived at the original pick up location. UHaul did not contact me tor provide a van at any other local locations. Fortunately I was able to rent a van at a nearby location. The rental rep was good, tried to oversell rental insurance, the van was clean inside and mechanically sound. The exterior was dirty especially the windshield, there was no washer fluid, which made visibility less than optimal.

The person who checked out our rental charged an extra day when we clearly returned the van ahead of the cutoff time. He blatantly ripped us off. This is not a trustworthy dealer whatsoever and has made me question whether to use Uhaul going forward.

I wish somebody was there. I like the closure of a completed transaction. I had to find parking and cross my fingers. A lot fo responsibility for parking and dropping key into a box

I was charged a cleaning fee and was not told this would be the case. The truck was left cleaner than I found it and someone picked it up Right after me. It was not cleaned in between users. This is unacceptable.

U-haul placed moving pads in my vehicle, which I did not notice until I got to my location. I used them because they were in the truck, but there was no proactive or obvious advertising charge for such service. This is entrapment at its best, and just really, really, really poor customer manipulation at its worst. U-haul is a terrible company and deserves to be noted as such. I will not be using them again; I will share my experience with my friends and family. The private location and its employees that served me on behalf of U-haul (though not U-haul employees) were wonderful and should be noted as such. U-haul as a company = poor.

I love these guys. They are nice, quick and efficient. The truck smelled freshly sprayed with cleaner. I always call them first for my moving needs. Highly Recommend !!! : )

NO lesson on how doors operate. Side panel would not open - turns out it was on the key ring. Who knew? When I turned the van in and complained and he THEN showed me, I said that I should have been given this lesson up front. He said "NO WAY". The rental lot is tiny and hard to get a truck out - they should do it for you.

Upon arriving at the drop off location, the attendant stated that he wouldn't be able to check the truck in immediately because they were busy. I requested that he check it in just so I knew there weren't any extra charges. He assured everything was fine and I wouldn't be charged anything else. This rental was returned on time, but I ended up being charged an extra day due to the truck being “checked in” about 20 minutes after it was dropped it off.

Clarify to customer that if the van/truck is returned after hours that you should go on-line to state that this was done so that there is no charge for an additional rental day.

The locations were fine. The rental process was a nightmare however. I made the initial rental with a local distributor. He was unable to guarantee the exact pick up location and time but said I'd receive a call from UHaul the next morning. I did not. When I called them, they had me picking up the truck in a town 40 miles away. Not acceptable. We went round and round and I had them check uHaul locations in my city again and they came up with one. When I tried to choose a drop off location, they told me they input that but the person at the facility where I was picking it up would have to actually do it officially. When we went to pick it up, the person had no information at all on desired drop off location and said he could not do it, that I had to call UHaul again. When I did so, the person told me she input that but that she had to forward me to scheduling again. When I was put through to them, scheduling said that place was closed. When I requested my next drop off location, they said we deeded an appointment to drop off there. I opted to go much further to drop it off than intended just to ensure that there would actually be someone there. That location was so clogged with people dropping off uhauls that we couldn't get in or out of the facility and numerous cars and people were stuck. Overall not a good experience AT ALL

Did not print up contract as I ordered on web so the computer said I was 1 day over the allotted time as well as 80 miles over my limit. I was a day early and 3 miles under the web confirmation.Make sure you double check your web confirmation with what is written up,

When you rent a vehicle and the person that gives it to you is very informal about the cosmetic condition on the entire vehicle and the person receiving the vehicle is a scary detail man... You can be thankful you paid $28 for insurance!

I was a little confused about where to put the key after returning vehicle. Place was closed & I didn't return it til 10pm. Had to take public transportation home, was exhausted. I finally remembered, but it was around midnight. Overall, everything went well.

this is the first time that i rent from this location, Eddie was great excellent customer service so the person that was getting the truck ready for me, I usually rent from Hollister location but overthere is always poor customer service.

I rented a 10 foot van for 1/5 hours and 27 miles. I put in over 2 gallons of gas to refill to level. Eddy. Showed me dirt on the side and told me he was going to have to charge me. He wanted to charge me for gas....and when I showed him receipt...he said I could have put it in another car. 2+ gallons? And after taking three bookcases from Office Max to my office at the university...he said the cab was dirty and he was going to have to "eat it": and have his guys clean. A total scam artist. I would never use this place again. VERY unprofessional. THE WORST.

I in my opinion was overcharged by this particular agent. I rented a vehicle the week before on Friday with the weekend mileage and drove about 50 miles more and paid 60 dollars less. In all honesty I won't ever go back to that dealer. I have to rent a uhaul at 2 times a month. And from now on I will take the bus to the State St. Uhaul and deal with them. I work hard for my money and have come to respect the UHaul Family. I know I can count on your vehicles not to break down if driven properly and loaded so. You have excellent maintenance on your trucks and they are taken care of. So I will continue to go get uhauls for my side jobs. But not where I feel a dealer has blatantly got me for 40 to 60 dollars for a one day rental.

We dropped our Uhaul off 45 minutes late and got charged a $50 late fee. After having rented 2 big trucks to drive from Denver to Santa Barbara and spend thousands of dollars on trucks and gas and then find out you have to pay an additional $50 was very disappointing.

I WAS misled as should have only been charged for one way on one day.. i did finally get a call back from a manager, later two calls to the 800 #.. He agreed to refund some $ back from me beause of the wrong information and rate I was given.. This was last week! I have yet to get the refund.or the email from him he promised . Am currently on the phone holding 15 minutes as I write this
