The gas station employee had zero clue how to confirm our U-Haul with us and had to call his boss to help. Better to go to a real U-Haul location

This site is a gas station with a large vacant former Arby's restaurant in the remainder of the building. From the street, it looked 'closed'. However, the one person/employee in the building was helpful in enabling me to drop of the van without any problem.

People there did not know how to do the uhaul tranaction in the system. They had to call the boss. It took well over forty minutes to get the keys. No receipt. Same thing when bringing it back.

This location was not even open when I arrived. The employee had no idea I had rented a truck, and since the reservation was made over a week ago, I was told I would be able to pick it up, ready to go with the car hauler attached at 7 AM. I wasn’t able to leave with my rental until after 10:30. This wasted my time, and the 6 others waiting to help me move. This also pushed out cross country move to the next day, which ruined all my travel plans. Also, when I arrived in New Hampshire, they found out the pickup location gave me the wrong car hauler.

We waited 40 minutes for someone to come and assist us. We were charged way over promised even tho Uhaul called to say they’d waive the additional upgrade fee. Will never use this location again.

Before I picked up my Uhaul at this location, I was hesitant as there were bad reviews. My pick up was for 7:30am (store hours were 6a-9p). When I went to pick up, no one was there so I could not get the keys. Tried to call the store number and it just rang and rang. Sat on hold with Uhaul for 20 mins before someone was free to talk to me. By the time I reached Uhaul Customer Service, the owner of the store pulled up and unlocked the place to give me my key. (honestly -I think he only came because we may have set off the store alarm by knocking and trying to open the door/look thru windows...) He barely said anything - not even an apology for being late. As a person with anxiety and on a time frame - this was a disastrous morning that did not help during a big move. 0/10 would recommend this location. Also, the Uhaul was very dirty in the back. We needed to clean it before we put our stuff in it.

When I arrived to pick up the trailer the only person at the station did not know how to do u-haul so he called his boss who told him to let me take the trailer and return it after he got there. So I waited until 2pm to return it. When he completed the contract he said it was a $34 charge I said no it was less than $27 he said it was an environmental fee which I found out later fee that I had had added a $8.00 save trip fee that I had declined during online reservation He is a crook!!

There was a little issue with billing. But after making a phone call to u haul, I was able to get it set straight. Overall good experience.

Newly opened center. The person working when I dropped off (9 October, approximately 6:00 PM) The person working there had no idea how to check in the trailer, his comment: "well, I will have to wait for my boss to be in tomorrow to put it in the system."
