Again no on recommended to friends because of all the problems with uhaul on this trip. No to clean and inviting because how inviting can a closed tire shop in the middle of nowhere really be. The only issue with this one is we got a call from somewhere in Fresno Monday morning asking when we're returning the truck. I informed them I returned it as scheduled in Oakhurst Sunday afternoon. The person on the phone said "oh ok I'll call them" come on uhaul get your act together why not call the drop off location first when 1. You know they were closed on drop off day and 2. All local news has told you they are likely without power right now due to extreme winds and maybe that's why it's not in your computer . Seriously the corporate level incompetence of uhaul during this move is too much.

My reservation was in Fresno Location Ventura St...Manager was rude and sending me on a 2 hour trip, back and forth to Oakhust, Ca. for transport pick-up.

We waited over an hour to pick up our vehicle. According to the person working, the vehicle had come in the night before and was not ready. While he did a respectable job of cleaning the vehicle's interior, the delay presented challenges for our move. Additionally, it would have been respectful of customers if the business observed COVID precautions, particularly when renting shared equipment. Masks are a nuisance, true, but they are standard operating procedure for a public-facing business. U-Haul's online reservation system and accompanying customer service protocols leave a lot to be desired. We had initially reserved a one-way rental, but only an in-town rental was available. I understand the challenge of availability. However, we did not learn that a vehicle was not actually available until a day and a half before our rental date. U-Haul did not guarantee a similar rental elsewhere at the time of booking, credit us the $50 offered for other rentals, or offer to charge us the one-way price for the available in-town rental. Instead, U-Haul required us to begin the booking process again. By the time we did this, no vehicles that met our needs were available. We were forced to use a smaller truck at a higher cost.

truck was older and not well maintained. On moving day the left rear tire was flat. it took 3 hours of calling roadside assistance and trying to get help to come fix it. 7 times being transferred and arguing on the phone just to recieve help. when someone finally did come they found the tire had an old valve on it that was broken and leaking.

AMBER from scheduling SAVED OUR BUTTS/TRIP/LIFE by getting us the truck when we needed it instead of 8 hours AFTER THE CREW I HIRED was coming. My husband has lymphoma and I couldn't POSSIBLY DO THIS MOVE WITHOUT my community of friends and hired support. AMBER WAS AN ANGEL 😇

I was supposed to pick up my truck Friday night. This location had not done what they needed to do to allow me to do that. I had to return the next morning to get my truck. I then returned the truck to the location about 6 hours later, but this location was closed at that point. I was called the following day, a Sunday, to verify that I had indeed turned the truck back in within 24 hours. I verified that I had. A few days later I received my receipt, on which I had been charged for 48 hours of use. I was not told that I needed to self check-in the vehicle if returned after hours. For this, I was charged double. When I called to dispute these charges, and after much confusion regarding my rental and condition of my receipt in the office, I was told that because I hadn't self checked in, U-haul would charge me double, but that they would do me a FAVOR and reverse the charges. I was also told that even though all the furniture pads were still in the plastic and unused, I would still be charged for them. Overall, extremely unorganized, unprofessional, and unhelpful.

I totally understand that the truck I used was from the mountain area. It would have been nice to have had all the gravel vacuumed out . I wish I could remember the man and woman's name that were beyond kind to stay open an extra half hour beyond closing until I arrived! They were both so sweet and understanding! What an A+ team that U-Haul has in Oakhurst!

Had to go here 2 hours up the sierra nevada because Uhaul did not honor the rental in stockton and over booked their auto transport trailers. had to drive on dangerous mountain roads to reach location with uhaul truck and two vehicles then drive down the mountain roads to reach our original flat land route on hwy 99. Next time do not over book rentals and honor the contract at the locations that they were reserved at so customer does not have to stress and go 2 hours out of the way to do uhaul a favor by bringing equipment down from the sierra nevada mountains.

The only problem my head from the place I rented it from was it the guy told me three to Five times that the fuel needed to be a little bit over half a tank then when I returned it the guy said I needed 3/4 of a tankOther than that it was a cool place

The cab smelled TERRIBLE, the left front tire kept loosing air. I took it back to the shop. There he only filled the tire with air for the second time. I asked him to change the tire he said he couldn't but he could change out the vehicle. I told him it's fully loaded. He said I'll just put extra air. That was fine but I had to stop a few times to put more air in it. Also, the alignment is off, pulls to one side badly. It wore out my arms.

The owner of the shop this uhaul is a part of was an absolute asshole. He was talking about how all women deserve to be beaten. He refused to help me load my car on to the dolly, and was very rude.

The first rental for the truck was misquoted to me by almost double the price (from $65 to $108). I had asked the customer rep (Monty Cleves?) why the quote was so wrong, but he insisted that U Haul made a mistake and charged me incorrectly. I was misled of the quote for the rental by almost twice. The second rental was better and corrected.

When I went in, one of the guys told me that they didn't have the trailer that I had reserved. Another guy looked at the computer and said that it showed up on the computer so it had to be there. Then they went out to find it.

I rented on Friday at 2:30 pm and returned Sat evening at 8pm with cost going from $111 up to over $200, not terribly satisfied. Your on-site rental bumped the helper out of the computer twice before successful in-put and then I received a call about 2 hrs later along with email saying I cancelled. I already had the key.

On our first reservation we stated we wanted drop off at one location and it was not told to us that the computer automatically generated another location. It was set without our approval. Next we were supposed to have three days and 100 extra miles and we did not. This reservation ended up being cancelled due to all the errors. When we rebooked it was told to us that our drop off was a 24 hour drop off. When we asked what was closest drop off location to our destination no help was given to us. In the end our drop off WAS NOT a 24 hour and WAS NOT the closest to us. We sat for 45 minutes while on the phone trying to remedy the situation. We chanced going under on our gas and mileage (of which was perfectly planned for original destination). Finally we dropped off the truck, but it was a major headache due to inaccurate information and not very helpful service. The man at the desk was very nice, but we won't go back due to the errors and lack of knowledge on their part.

They help get a refund for the double billing I was charged by the outgoing UHaul company. Which was just horrible. I'm still waiting for my full refund for the moving company that never showed up that I pre paid thru uHaul.

U-Haul closed business returns process was not usable it would not acepet my location. When I called for costumer service at 8 am on 3-7-2020 I was on hold for over 15 minutes then was helped by a rep who then transferred me to live returns and waited another 10 min.on hold and could no longer wait on hold then hung up. At apron. 3 pm I quickly reached a service agent who answered my questions about dropping the trailer off. The return dealer was helpful this morning and did not charge me a check in fee . U-haul needs to have more service agents at peek hours . And improve your on-line cheek in system. I would recommend only having to enter the contract or vechile number. If a renter ynot use the location button then let them e-mail a picture of the vehicle showing its i.d. Number visible at the return location thank you Paul Horst

I was charged an unexpected $60 after I returned the truck late at night in Palm Desert - $40 cleaning fee and $20 after hours service charge. This truck was returned clean. There should be no cleaning fee. I was unaware there was a service charge for returning a truck after hours. No one told me that. I would have waited until morning. I never received a contract when I left with the truck because all of UHAULs computer systems were down at the time. It was emailed to me later but I was already involved in my move and on the road. I did not know about the after hours charge. Had I been present when the staff inspected the truck, I would not have been charged a cleaning fee. Please refund these fees. I am hesitate to use UHAUL again for the above reasons. All contacts with Oakhurst Uhaul staff were excellent.

Very slow check in, even though I filled everything out online ahead of time. The gentleman that checked us in was coughing the whole time. Could of had better instructions returning the uhaul. We had a hard time with the web site and just put the keys and contract in the lock box .

I was not told at anytime prior to drop off the rate at which I would be charged if I went over the allotted estimated guess upon pick up. I feel like I was tricked and potentially ok intentionally mislead. I thought this would be $40 extra Max for the time in which I had the vehicle. And on top of that paid the gas to fill up the tank. Which I also was not informed of when I signed the contract. Without dishonor I do not owe that money. And I refute the validity of the presentament or claim of debt.

I have an issue with the Invoice. I rented 12 Blankets. Instead of receiving a paper invoice I opted for the emailed invoice. I just opened the email to find I was charged for 36 blankets 25.00 charge for (30) and a 5.00 charge for (6). It was supposed to be a 10.00 charge for a dolly and (6) Blankets and an additional (6) Blankets. Please correct this error
