The owner is a Straight up crook. He didn’t show up to give me my truck for my 10 am appointment until 11am and then wouldn’t give me my full time with the truck. He also double charged me, and gave me a number to call for his “boss” to try to reverse half the charge. . I’ve been calling since last Friday and it is now Wednesday with no return phone call. Horrible experience, big joke of a location. Wouldn’t recommend

I arrived at the location and it was “closed”. Thankfully an employee was walking in between shops and noticed me And told me the same thing. When I informed him that I have a uhaul scheduled here he was surprised and called the owner. The owner explained that I would need to do an online check in (which is fine, I expected that) and then their employee would give me the keys (which are inside the locked shop)... After getting the keys I had to cross a busy street to go to a side street where the truck was parked. I started up the truck and finished the check in process. The truck had couch legs and a couple other things in the cab from a previous move that clattered and got in the way. Additionally the truck was covered in 6” of snow and ice and there was no snow Brush to be found anywhere. Overall, I’ve used Uhaul previously and been a satisfied customer. This is the first time I’ve picked up at an alternate location. Next time I will definitely only deal with a proper uhaul store where there are people to help address any issues that are found. Definitely never using an alternate location like blue line auto again. In my previous experience a check in and pickup of the truck takes maybe 10 minutes... this took over a hour.

could not get through by phone when I wanted to book a truck, so I ended up calling the customer service line. When grabbing the uhaul, I had wait over 30 minutes to receive the keys. When returning the usual, no one was at the front desk to speak to at approximately 3:30pm. Overall, customer service experience was very poor.

The person renting me the truck was 30 minutes late. The reservation was for 12, and it was 12:50 by the time I drove away, and then I got an email from uhaul saying the truck had to be returned by 12:30. When I called customer service last night to explain what happened and to ask if I could return the truck at 1 PM, the woman told me it was not possible. So, basically, no customer service . U-Haul does not care about their customers, obviously. If I was renting a truck to someone and I was 30 minutes late, possibly making them late for their appointments and obligations, I would tell them they can return it and hour later. That’s called customer service and taking ownership for your mistakes.

The service rep was excellent, very friendly and easy to work with, but the location was not in a great area of the city (for convenience or comfort, I wouldn’t leave my own car there while using the truck)

The truck we received is not equipped for anyone to drive and is VERY unsafe. The alignment was off, tires were were worn off and two of them were worse then the others, same thing for the shocks. On your site it says the tank takes 40 gallons which is either untrue or the gas was leaking because it didn’t go for more than 200km before it needed a refill. Bottom line I’ll ever rent Uhaul again. This was all on top off all the problems we had the day before the move when you guys would say one min we have no truck and next we do.

This is a terrible pick up location. No one was at the shop for us, and even then when someone came, they weren’t ready for us to take our truck. I would not go back to this location at all.

This pick up location is absolutely terrible. It was not open at 10:00 when I was scheduled to pick up the truck. After waiting 15 minutes I phoned the company and the owner informed an employee to let me inside. However, he let us in to the entrance and left. I waited a while longer before phoning the owner again. He informed the worker he was supposed to give me the key which I received much later than I should have. Not only did I waste this my time, but upon inspecting the truck I found out the utility dolly I rented wasn't there. After yet another phone call I was able to locate a dolly in the shop; however it was an appliance dolly and not the utility dolly I ordered 18 days earlier. The owner said I could use it but it would result in higher charges because of the different type of dolly which I didn't want. There is no reason to have this location as a pick up location. I would rather carry everything by hand than deal with them.

Never again will I rent from this specific store location. Why? Very unprofessional business practices, very late with schedules, and created more cost for myself (due to long wait times on their part). If you are set on renting from U-Haul, rent from the main store and not from 1080 Arlington St. Wpg, MB. Trust me, you will save yourself time, money, and headache by not going to this store.

Firstly, the pick up office location was full of junk, filthy and some staff guy came out of the back to state at me like a creep the entire time I was in there. Thats how it started which was bad enough. Then we get to the order. I had ordered two dollies, a furniture dolly, and a bunch of moving blankets. The person helping me had no idea I had ordered anything somehow and only had a few blankets available. Then he suggested I just run over to another location where they probably have more stuff available. Really? I preordered this stuff because I don't have time to be running around town looking for it when I also have movers to meet up with and a ton of other things to do. So we finally get in the truck and it has less than a quarter tank of gas in it for the day. That's excellent because you definitely want the added stress of worrying about whether you'll have enough gas to do what you need to do. I barely made it. The guy at the store gave me a booking sheet that said it was a quarter full too so I let him know it definitely wasn't. Just as an aside, if your launching the site from Canada, prices in Canadian dollars would be smart. I was a little surprised to discover a much higher charge for my moving help add on than what I thought I was paying ,after the exchange. Helpers from Elite were excellent, but the rest of the experience was pretty awful.

The owner was not in the office when I arrived to pick up the truck or when I arrived to drop it off. I had to wait 15 minutes in the morning and almost 10 minutes in the afternoon. It's very frustrating when you are just trying to get your move done.

Had an absolute horrible experience. Firstly we picked up our uhaul from a poor uhaul vendor. Where we completed our transaction via FaceTime. We also were not given a proper confirmation of sale. The truck was dirty and we never received a walk through. The quote has in the car was less then there actually was. Once we came to Calgary we were not compensated for early drop off. I would NEVER recommend uhaul and specifically would warn against picking up from the BlueLine location on Arlington Ave in Winnipeg. Extremely poor service. I will be following up with head office to ensure that location is not longer used.

Had a mini-heart attack when I received an email saying the truck hadn't been returned, when I returned it the very same night I rented it... Also booked a furniture dolly, which wasn't available when I picked up the truck. Made for a real fun move.

The only comment is in regards to pick-up through the app. There was a phone verification step from a friend, family member or an employer. I had not realized a phone call would go out immediately. As I had entered my driver's license and taken a photo, I though this step did not add value.

This Arlington drop off site is an auto garage - Uhaul business is an add-on. If you are needing decor - that is not the focus of this facility. Parking for return vehicles is behind the building in the alley off Arlington. All of the Uhaul depots were clustered in the north end of Wpg in sites that are somewhat distant from south end residents. The staff were very friendly and interested in my experience of the drive, the functioning of the vehicle, and future business. They were the best part of my Uhaul experience. There were no surprises or additional charges. I had much worse treatment from Hertz UK after rentin a sedan there in July 2018.

This location is in the middle of Winnipeg and in a busy area, the truck was parked in a tight spot in the back lane. A bigger parking lot or a less busy area would be better for picking up a big truck.

The location is crowded and congested. There was no one there to do my paperwork and it took over an hour to pick up the dolly. They also over charged me by $30 for insurance I specifically said I didnt want on my online application.

They did not have the furniture pads I had reserved and I was forced to go to a different U-Haul location to collect them. I ended up having my truck ready with my equipment 45 minutes later than the booked time.

I had a very bad experience with your representative ( D Awasti) over the phone, I had some complains but instead of explain or answering my concern, your representative started calling me names he called me an idiot, a fool for not understanding what he was saying (and lots more) because I didn’t understand my bill. It was so embarrassing. What did I do for him to abuse me over the phone?

I am taking my time and effort to write this comment for the benefit of your company being better. When I first picked up the my truck, I was asked questions I have already provided when I register my uhaul account and submit my reservation. On top of that, I was required to provide 3 contact persons. I don't understand why these 3 additional contacts are necessary, but I am OK with it. It took Mona, the receptionist more than three times to submit and print out my order. When I return my rental truck to the same location, no one was there. I have to call the number provided on the receipt to find someone. It turned out he was on his way to the airport, picking up his Mom and I was told to wait about an hour. This is absolutely poor customer service experience. Then, finally, a mechanics, from the garage at the back came in and agreed to take the rental keys. I also showed him where the truck is parked. So that I can finish off here and leave after waited about half an hour. It is my first time dealing with this uhaul location. I rented uhaul many times in US, nothing like this had happen. I just not feel being treated professionally. Such a poor experience.

We were in a big hurry and the employee showed up 20 minutes late to open this location. We were absolutely pancing. My husband was only in town for a few days from Calgary and we would not be able to get a truck anywhere else and had to move that day...We were not pleased at all!!!!

The keys for my truck weren't there at our reserved time. Somehow the Uhaul system was showing they had been due back the night before but as we waited the people who had used it before us returned the truck and their paperwork showed it was due back the day of. It took a half hour to rent one small truck.

The location is advertised as open on Saturday from 9-5, and I was picking up a truck at 9. The location opened 10-15 minutes late. Also, was closed early afternoon when I returned the truck. I left the keys with a guy in the shop around back. I called on Monday morning to make sure the truck was properly checked in. It is now Tuesday afternoon and I have not received a call back.

-i confirmed the drop off and pick up times 2x prior to the date. -i rec'd a call from saying that if it wasn't picked up by a certain time (That i didn't confirm initially) that it would be cancelled. she cleared it up for me and said they made a mistake. -then someone else called 10min later and i had to communicate the same things to this new person -when we came to pick it up, it wasn't at the pick up location, it was somewhere else than they said it was going to be and they DIDN"T HAVE OUR ORDER ON FILE! so we had to start all over. ...this experience was complete mess. i confirmed my order so clearly and our order was lost, given the wrong times and the pick up location wasn't where it was supposed to be. terrible customer service. i will find a different company to use next time.

The only issue was that the vehicle did not come equipped with a snow brush. This proved to be a major inconvenience as I was using the vehicle during Winnipeg's recent 30cm blizzard. I nearly bought one to leave in there but decided to break all of the useless cards in my wallet instead.

We waited 10 minutes before being greeted at the counter. Despite having done the express check-in, the girl insisted on taking all of our information down again which took half and hour because she kept getting distracted by other people working in the shop. There was garbage from previous renters in the truck.

The employee assisting us with the hookup barely knew what he was doing. On top of that there was a language barrier. They seemed ill-equipped in general, and sent us to several different locations to gather parts for the hookup that should have been readily available beforehand (otherwise whats the point in a reservation).

My experience from the initial call for information and costs until the WInnipeg crew repaired the truck was horrible. Dishonesty from the emergency number, dishonesty with the initial quote. All very frustrating. Your 'promise' mentioned each time I called was non-exisrant.

Processing was rather slow (took a long time to enter info into the computer), trailer is not kept on site (had to drive a couple of blocks away to get it and hook it up myself, which was made more difficult by the fact that it was parked in loose dirt), trailer lights did not work so had to drive back to notify staff, then got sent with trailer to another Uhaul location for them to look at it, they ended up having to trade out for another trailer. Would like to commend John at the McPhillips location who was very helpful and made sure I got out on the road quickly after they identified the problem.

The owner was very nice and very helpful. The location itself was a bit cramped, and there was a problem with my reservation, but that was with the U-Haul system, and not the owner.

Customer service sucks! I registered online. And it took me 30 mins to get the car and it's empty tank!!!the guys just talk to someone else all the time and pick up the phone. Return the car took me 20 mins. We were just wait for the guy to show up for 15 mins. Almost called the customer service! Just google for this location. They deserve 1 out of 5! That's true!

I'm not impressed the rental office was cluttered with car parts and motor scooters . The attendant didn't even come outside to hook up the trailer, we had to go into a resteraunt to have a car moved to get access to the trailer. We had to drag it out of a snowbank. All in all I would never rent from that location again. I ordered from that location by mistake. I usually rent from the Mc Phillips location

I waited for 1 hour to get my rental. The gentleman who ran the business was not on sight when i arrived. The person who greeted me did not know how to do anything. He handed me a telephone and said here speak to him. I was asked what i wanted and informed that he would be there in 20 mins. I had booked the vehicle the previous day and expected it to be ready and waiting for me upon arrival. This business was very disorganized. I had other people coming into the shop asking me questions as if I worked there. A third gentleman asked me what I needed while i was waiting and he to called the person running the uhal portion of the business and again asked him when he would be in. He claimed he would be 5 mins. This was after he had already said 20 mins. Once this man did arrive he did greet me and brought the rental van around. But it still took him an additional 20 mins to get all the paper work completed before i could leave. I also had to promote him saying I need to leave as i have people waiting for me. As the man was running around doing other things and not helping me until I insisted that he complete my transaction. I am very disappointed with this company and my entire uhal experience. I will not likely be using them ever again. And will be making sure that others are aware of this extreme lack in business sense.

The location was extremely dirty, with automobile parts lying around everywhere. The employee at the counter didn't talk to us for about 5 minutes after we came in and stood in front of him. It took 45 minutes to get the truck, even with the online check in being completed beforehand. The counter employee had to show us where to park when we came back and lead us through the garage, around loose wires and literally underneath a car up on a hoist. And last of all - I got a callthe next day because they didnt go check if we returned the truck or not.

The U-Haul rep didn't plan for the weather in the morning and was not at the location when I arrived to pickup the car. He was able to coach someone else through the process on the phone but between that and the truck getting stuck in the snow when another person at the location attempted to get it out for me, it took approximately an hour to get sorted and leave with the truck.

I received the truck one hour late because the dealer hadn't properly checked his reservations for the day. While the manager was very nice, that still did not make up for the hour I lost! I had people waiting to help me move who were outside my old house waiting for me for an hour! Because of the hour we lost, most of the move happened in the pouring rain, with a lot of my furniture being soaked and damaged. This was a terrible experience. The person at customer service was kind and helpful and gave me a discount once I asked for it but that still didn't make up for the damage and my friends who wasted time waiting for me. I would not recommend this dealer or U-Haul to anyone after this.

Waited 1.5 hours for owner to show up. He was not aware of my scheduled pickup. Staff(mechanics) were of absolutely no use or help. Property was small and dirty. Client area(front desk) was hot, musty smelling, unclean.

I had to wait at the location for 2 hours! The first hour was waiting for the staff to show up and then I was almost charged $500 more than what I was quoted when I made my reservation. After having to start over twice already their computer crashed and we had to start over again, and after all that I had to drive to a different location to pick up the dolly that was supposed to be ready for me in the truck. While the staff were friendly and helpful the overall experience was poor.

When booking a U-Haul which is done through a Call Centre located in Phoenix, they should tell you that they cannot confirm whether a vehicle is available or not. They only book rentals with no knowledge of actual site availability. Very poor system.
