I was charged double the rate of the contract we were given. I tried to dispute in person, but the person claimed to know nothing about the contract even though we had the contract number email and had already checked in and uploaded our info. per their instructions. I tried to use the "chat" link but it didn't work. I tried to email but that link didn't work. I ended up using the "customer service" telephone number which kept me on hold for 30 minutes only to be told I had to be transferred to "customer service" which took another 30 minutes. That person said I should get an email fixing the overcharge and if I didn't, I should call again. Who has hours and hours to go no where!? I want my money back. These people don't know how to do legitimate business or else their business model is to lie and cheat and delay until they exhaust you. Do Not Use U haul!RONALD L.

Didn't have requested furniture pads. Some provision should have been made to get them there or notify me in advance. Very inefficient operation. I did it all online and w/ help of UHaul support. But the store seemed clueless about it as they kept asking for information that I had already given to you. Small operation. Best to go to Lafayette.Bart R.

The insurance coverage not covering overhead damage is lame and should be explained thoroughly before handing over the keys. I was completely unaware of the fact that the insurance didn't cover that until i dropped off the truck and it was explained to me after the fact. Not only that but i had nothing but trouble even getting the truck in the first place. I had 2 different reservations that were pointless bc i had to drive to a third location to even get one. When i showed up to the location i drove over 60 miles to they couldn't even find my reservation. The only positive feedback i will give is that the guy who i dropped the truck off to was duper cool and friendly. Very disappointed otherwise.Casey P.

My situation was this: my daughters car broke down while in Houston, and we live in Breaux Bridge Louisiana. This drop off location is a hardware store I frequent often in my hometown. I went there first, to inquire about renting equipment, locating a pickup location in Houston, and many more details. Robin, who works at this location, and who I know personally, took care of everything for me. I even reached out to Robin after hours regarding dropping off the trailer once I returned. While the situation, retrieving a broken down car in Houston, was not pleasant, my experience with the initial renting information, and drop off location made things much, much better. I do appreciate the value that Robin provides for customers.BYRON B.
When making my reservation, the representative on the phone assured me that the receipt I was emailed included applicable sales tax for my order, but when I went to pickup my equipment, I had to pay over $150 more than the receipt I was emailed bc sales tax was in fact NOT included. Then, I reserved a tow dolly which wasn't available at this location when I went to pickup my order. Lastly, the truck cab was FILTHY, covered in animal hair & had to be extensively cleaned prior to my trip.erin S.

They only rent trucks or rent car hauler. You order online pads or dollies you get to the store and told they dont have that stuff. You ask for refund and they tell you thsts on you. Call the 1 800 numberLouis M.

My phone wasn't picking up the location when I was doing the rote checkin, and whoever answered just told me to turn my phone off and on again. I did and called back, the next person was much more helpful and advised I needed to use the app and not the link to the browser.Matthew E.

Person at this location was super helpful, with exception of Uhaul website not allowing him to complete return while i was there. He assured me i would not be charged any additional expense because it was the system fault not mine. So i left. I thien kept receiving several text messgaes that my rental was ready for pickup when I had already dropped it off. Uhaul, you need to get your system up to par. This experience has been a complete headache. I was up to renting again to get final remaining items from apartment but have decided against due to poor inventory management.Leann B.

I reserved a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer to be picked up at 10am. I was notified that no trailers of that size were available in Lafayette at 9am that morning. I was told that If I wanted a trailer that size that I would have to travel to New Iberia, 25 miles away, taking at least an e,tra hour to pick it up and return to North Lafayette to pick up my cargo. I cannot understand why I was able to reserve that size trailer when there were none in Lafayette. I had to drive 20 minutes to Breaux Bridge to pick up a 5 x 8, smaller than I needed Worst experience I have ever had with reservations at U haul ever. And I use U haul often.Francis D.

Text message ( and done sooner than night before pick up) re location of pick up. Was to pick up in Lafayette but notified pick up was going to have to be Breaux Bridge Louisiana. Missed the address of the pick up location, misunderstood street name ( cajun accent ), so drive and search for location better if address and phone number had been sent by email. Very nice at pic up as well as assist and instructions. Facility 5 star.gerald A.

Eliminate the web site because it is not only useless, it's counter productive. I reserved the trailer at this preferred location on line. The next morning, my reservation was Confirmed at a location about 30 miles away. We had to cancel that reservation and redo it at my preferred location. Thankfully, the people at the preferred location were great to deal with.MIKE G.

I made my reservation to pick up the 4x8 trailer at the Lafayette, LA Ambassador Caffery location. I checked in online to make my pickup quickly. When I arrived at the Ambassador Caffery location, I was informed that there was not a 4x8 trailer available and I would have to drive to BREAUX BRIDGE, LA to get the equipment I needed. I was VERY CLOSE to the Ambassador Caffery location and had to drive 12-15 miles to get the equipment I needed in Breaux Bridge! This was a VERY UNPLEASANT transaction! I have rented from UHaul MANY, MANY times, and this was the worst experience I have ever had! The personnel in Breaux Bridge were helpful, but this is NOT the location that I desired.Sandy H.
