Assist in hooking up trailer
RANDOLPH DHomeless man was living in the box bed of the truck. Warning lights all across the dash. Sun visor falling down constantly. Very annoying. All were fixable problems if responsible parties cared and knew of them.
THOMAS GI used a cargo trailer to haul some lumber. Homeless people frequent the area around the store but they are non-threatening. One helped me hook up the trailer which I appreciated as someone who has a back injury

James MAbsolutely not safe to pick up a UHaul at this location. Owner and supply delivery guy was in a very heated argument over money. It just kept going and going. There are many homeless men and women outside that are either making drug deals out back or just hanging around. I totally didn’t feel safe in the store or outside. Will never return to this location.

MAURICE BHorrible experience. 2 hours before my scheduled pick-up, I received a text saying my order had been updated. My pick-up address had been changed. The new location was not in a safe area of town so I had to ask someone else to come with me. (Originally I was going with my sister) I called before hand to make sure someone else could pick up the rental and the guy on the phone made no sense. He could not communicate properly and had no idea how to answer my question. He told me he would send me a link to upload my father in laws drivers license, never did. Sure enough, when my father in law arrived they would not let him get the rental. I called and eventually we got it sorted out. This was on Thursday. We were scheduled to return the rental Saturday afternoon. I got a call Friday morning while I was at work. The same man from the previous day was yelling at me asking, “Where is your key? We need your key this instant.” I told him I had the rental until Saturday. He kept arguing and then said, “wrong number” and hung up in the middle. No apology or anything. This location and the man who works there is so incredibly rude and unprofessional. I truly will never use U-Haul again. I was already irritated my pick-up location changed but there should not have been this many issues.
Emily GOne- have someone that can speak English!! Second have someone that knows something about what they are renting!! 3rd they charged my credit card 5 times….. Still waiting to be refunded for the same chargers That truck was the dirtiest truck I have ever been in, I literally had to pull over two blocks away and clean the inside of the windshield just to be able to see everything I touched in that truck was sticky and dirty, and it hadn’t been vacuumed out in at least a year
Richard WIt's a convenience store so no place to sit and wait for transaction to complete. Owner was very nice even though uhaul software was not working right for him.
Casey CNot add stuff to people's orders without asking them first I declined coverage online but I had to go in to check in then they added coverage for 45$ and I never asked for it to be added nor approved it but got charged for it so hopefully they will be refunding that

tommy gI am a female who rented a 6x12 trailer. this location refused to help me take the trailer off the hitch. It way too heavy for me to do; the agent walked away from me and went in the store after I asked him to help; I followed him in and asked him again if he could help me and he told me no. I then asked him for confirmation return of the trailer and he told me I would get an email in15 minutes confirming; which I never got. . He not only refused to help me. He also did not close out the rental as I had returned as promised and on time. I had to pay a homeless man who was drunk or on drugs 20 dollars to help me take the trailer off my hitch as it weighed over 75 pounds as there was no one to help me. In the end I had to call customer service with the one 800 number so that they could send a regional manager to verify I returned the trailer so that I can have my rental closed out. This U-Haul location is in a very sketchy part of town; and they refused to help. I strongly recommend no one goes in to rent or return a uhaul, as it is not safe for a woman to be alone in this area. I also had a random drunk person coming up to me, in the uhaul store asking me for a ride. The person behind the counter heard all this happening but Did nothing to tell the homeless person to leave me alone in the store. Do not go to this location.
Donna DThe location is so sketchy even during the daytime. No one was available in store to get me set up and had to speak to someone over the phone. It was so hard to understand him and it took forever to get it all set up as the website would not scan or upload my ID. I checked my email this morning to find out I was charged 3 times the amount I was quoted for the rental. I will never use this location again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

christshonda wDidn’t have blankets available at all and was very short with reasons why. If they don’t have them they shouldn’t advertise they do when placing the order. Area is not very safe. Loads of intoxicated/high hallucinating loiterers hanging around walking through the lot. I’ve returned and rented here several times and is always like this. Didn’t have the type of dolly needed either, but was available to order online only to get there and none there. Could have went two miles away at another location that is cleaner and not this run down/safety concerns. Pedestrians screaming unintelligible things directly at you while in the lot. Very sketchy.

ADELE PI asked for certain trailer. They gave me a different one and stated that it would work like the one I wanted just closed in. NOT!!! Trailer did not have ramp on back. Had to get a lift to get mower into trailer. Informed u haul that this was the wrong trailer store stated "you have rented it now. They are not professional at all.

Dan SFirst of I rented a trailer from a location and when I get thare to pick it up they gave it to some one else regardless of my reservation then it takes almost an our to find another one and when they do finly I had to dr an our out of my way to pick it up from some one that didn't speak English ....
Josh PI was quoted a coat for a little over $900 for a trailer to move our things. A 6x12. We turned it in with no damage and no issues. I woke up this morning to a $2000 charge on my card. A charge I didn’t authorize and as soon as it’s no longer pending, I’ll be disputing as a fraudulent transaction. I used UHaul for a one way move with an 8x5 trailer from one state to another in Dec 2020 and didn’t have a problem. I was charged a $20 extra fee which was fine because they were closed and I couldn’t use the app to check in plus I didn’t drop it off in the same location ID picked it up at. Had they only charged my card the additional amount to complete the $900 quote, there wouldn’t have been an issue but to charge me an additional $2000, I’m disputing the entire amount and they’ll get nothing. This is fraud and UHaul has a long history of poor business practice according to lengthy list of complaints on the BBB website.
Emilio MThe truck only had 3/4 of a tank of gas not full as we were told when we picked it up. Blankets all over the place unfolded and all over back if truck. And I was originally scheduled for a location closer to my selling home and it was changed morning of pickup adding more miles to the trip.

The place I was supposed to pick up was closed at a time their hours said they are open, and I had to change my plans. The delay made me late for an engagement, and was not good business. I don't know how much control you have over your vendors, but this place should not be one. Brothers was great, New Generation Auto Sales should not be a vendor

Naavid KUhaul smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The gas was less than half full. Owner was in a separate location and the transaction had to happen over the phone. I also believe I was over charged

MAURICE BThe wiring for the lights were damaged and it took over 2 hours to get it ready to use, I could not get it back by the appointed because of this and asked if I could return at first AM, they charged me an extra day, very distressing!! So much for the $50 guarantee that equipment would be ready in time...!
Keith WIt’s a small convenience store and did not feel safe. The owner told me to disconnect it myself and move it about 15 feet. I am 74. He finally came out and helped me.
