Irvin PThis was a terrible experience all around. The equipment/truck was in good condition, but everything else was bad. The person who checked me and my partner in just had us scan our IDs to make us authorized drivers and asked us if we wanted insurance. Then he just took our payment, told us to return it with the same amount of gas it had in it, and handed me the keys and we left. He mentioned a contract but didn’t tell me I would receive it in my email or have me sign anything. We were not told that we had a “specific amount of mileage” before we would be charged another “fee”. U-Haul has so many hidden fees, and now they don’t even give you the contract to read first to try to avoid incurring said fees! I got an email shortly after dropping off the U-Haul truck saying we were charged another $5.50 for going 5 miles over our “alotted 38 miles”. The person who checked us in mentioned nothing about a set amount of mileage we were allowed, and neither did the person who set up my rental over the phone.

LYNN MThe dollies were not secured properly. They were not in their mounts and were not tamper sealed. This can lead to incorrect charges for equipment not used. The Uhaul app also does not have a clear place to mark this at pickup.

Greg LBROWNS The app crashed three times during the return process. During the rental process the availability of after hours return should be communicated, verbally or by text, at the least the sharing of the YouTube, by link, regarding it would have been a great help. Overall I valued the convenience of the self return concept. AFTER HOURS NO ONE ON SITE
Adrean HBrown's was very easy to get to off of I-55. They were closed on the weekend so checking in was via the app. They appear to be a larger volume dealer with some excellent towing and auto repair business because the lot was pretty full, but with spaces available to park. It was a bit tricky to park the 26 ft truck in the lot but was manageable. It was then frustrating to use the app to check in. After parking it was difficult to get the angles wanted for photos due to space limitations and size of the vehicle. The app also wanted to use the camera option from my phone and not let me load photos I had already taken, which was frustrating. Then, the app was very, very, very slow to load all of the photos and information even with full signal from my phone. The app then did not confirm I was checked back in and did not give me information where place the key in the drop box or put it in a lock box and provide me the code. U-Haul was very communicative in telling me to have the vehicle back in time for the next customer with repeated reminders to the point of annoyance, but the app didn't help. It actually timed out and when I tried to complete check in it wouldn't let me because the app said I no longer had an active rental, but I still didn't know what to do with the key in my hand. The after-hours tow truck driver ended up coming out and taking the keys to finish my check in. Two other customers ahead of me had similar experiences using the app. Again, U-Haul, test your app under actual conditions from various dealerships after hours and review your check-in process on the app and make it more user friendly.

Joe IThe staff at pick up didn't seem to know much about rates or how to change the rental period/return date. Adding a driver didn't go well. Didn't do a walk around to ensure we agreed if any damage...there wasn't any. None of this was a big deal, and the pick up was quick. The 800 number was fantastic! I think the people who checked me in were probably the regular folk and I caught the "B" team on pick up. Everything else was great.
Neal CCole was fantastic, he was so helpful getting the trailer set up and parking it when I returned. 10/10 Recommend.

robert sThe vehicle was supposed to be able to be picked up without having to enter the facility and go through checkin with attendant. This was not possible, and it caused delay. Furthermore, the attendant proceeded to renter all of the data that I had already completed online, and when doing so she reset the cost, which simultaneously changed the originally quoted price to my online account. This then took longer time to remedy. Seems as though the attendant at the pickup location needs further instruction on those accounts who are setup online prior to arrival.
David LYou should really ask if the overall experience with UHAUL was good, the location areas were both great. The issue we had is we scheduled a pickup at 12 central time which is 1 pm eastern we we live. we were expecting to drop off at 1pm but because this location and UHAUL had to change the pick up time our drop off time was also changed which i found out later and we were not happy with that. So now due to this we had to change our trip and last location and ended up driving home late Wednesday night. We were planning a stop but due to it being 4 hours away, there was going to be no way that we were going to make it there by the new changed time of 10.33 am....overall that was very disappointing.
