Anne OI was told Lewisburg WV was the nearest location to my house that had a 15' truck. So on the way to pick up the truck I passed a UHAUL location about half as far as Lewisburg. I stopped to see if they had a truck and they did. When I tried to rent the truck I could not because the UHAUL computer system was not working and nothing could be completed by hand. After waiting awhile I drove home (no one could say how long the problem would persist). When I got home (45 minutes later) I called back and the system was working so I asked to have my contract completed and I drove back. My contract said the drop off point was the Colonial Inn in Franklin NC. I picked up the truck, loaded, drove, unloaded, and returned the truck on time to the Colonial Inn only to find out that the drop off location had been changed by UHAUL. So I drove the truck to the next drop off location. I would think you guys could do better.
brad sAfter a $50.00 cancelation fee for not having a truck with the equipment needed , then traveling 42 mile to another facility …. I am totally upset and have reservation to using Uhaul again….!

Thomas VThe new hitch mechanism on the trailer, that replaces the older screw down method, appears less secure. The older method seemed to do a better job eliminating movement between the ball and hitch receiver.

Donna NTry figuring out where the truck is leaking? All our mattresses were standing on end and they all got soaked (it rained the day we moved). Most of the moving blankets were wet also. Also it was leaking from the little oval “cutouts” on the handles you use to pull yourself into truck cab. This is no reflection on the location where we got the truck…there is obviously an issue with weatherproofing the truck. I also did not attempt to file a claim because it is just a huge headache and my 88 year old father just wanted to be done as it was a long day (packing, driving six hours, unpacking). Otherwise the truck ran great.

John MThe truck where the cupholders are was all sticky and yucky and the seat had stuff on it and it just wasn’t really clean in the truck . Told the drop off guy that James Mitchell in Morgantown that. We borrow some wipes from him and wiped it out. And by the way, James, Mitchell and Morgantown is a borrow some wipes from him and wiped it out. but the gentleman that we rented the truck off of was very nice. He didn’t have Wi-Fi to be able to check us in so he had to call to get checked in. But I originally had Got the truck a month and a half ago through Elkins West Virginia through Jimmy Kinsmoore and he told me I could rent it off of him. I have paperwork that says a one-way trip to Morgantown and then the day before to pick up the truck. I get a call from Colton the regional guy saying that they couldn’t do one-way trips from ELKINS so I think it would’ve been nice if they would’ve told me that at start! I went physical to Elkins store 2 times and talked . because I just would’ve rented the truck out of Morgantown instead of getting in Elkins WV. But Elkins, WV was closer to snowshoe WV, only 40 miles away and then I was driving it to Morgantown. But Colton did find me a truck. It was bigger than I had arranged for, in Buckeye and gave me a reduced price and some miles. So after all that stress and worry, and it worked out for the best and I appreciate it.

alan aThe cargo trailer was not clean inside, and was in need of some small maintenance. Missing wall rails needed replaced and door track needed lubricated. I don’t believe these items are the responsibility of the local site. Buckeye Country Mart is an excellent place to do business. I have rented equipment from them for years. Recommend them highly.
Patrick GWell our experience with Uhaul where awful, last April 21th 2022 i Called to make a Reservation For 26ft truck from Uhaul after searching All the competitor companies. Uhaul have the best price! The Reservation Attendent from Uhaul asked me for my credit card, and info and told me 10 days Before your reservation call the location assign for your rental pick up to confirm everything is ok for your pick up on your reservation day. Her name Was Erika, i call 10 days Before and no body pick up the phone on the Fishersville lotation, i stop by next day 9 days before my reservation day, and the lady there told we dont have a 26ft truck and we dont going to have one for you on your reservation day! Call transit number 804-342-4280, i call and they told me we dont have your rental truck but 24 hours before we are going to call you and let you know! I start to panic because we plan our moving on June 29th 2022 from Staunton VA to Orlando Florida, and We plan this months before to make it happen, and With out 26ft truck was going to be Impossible, 24 hrs Before i received 4 text messages we pay you $250 dollar if you transport a Trailer from Virginia to NC , but not Address or location where to pick our rental Truck? , we call Uhaul again and They told me go to This location in Staunton VA, i stop by and the manager told we dont have yoyr 26ft truck, we have your truck last Sunday but was giving to Someone else , so she Call Uhaul reservation center, they told her we have a 20ft truck in Blue Ridge Moving and Storage LLC, like 2 Hours Driving From Staunton VA, and They offer a Free Open Trailer to pull and Compensate the Space, when i Call this Location the Manager told yes we have the 20ft Truck but is Out for Service, the A/C is Broken, so i Call 804-342-4280 again to See what that Hell is Going an on, and They told me we dont have your reservation for 26ft Truck, we dont have trucks, blah blah, blah, they checked their system and found one truck in Buckeye Country Mart 219 S Buckeye Buckeye, WV 24924 like 2 hours Driving From Staunton Virginia, 24401, they Offer 150 Free Miles to compensate, and Discount some money $600 for the inconvenience, we have to contract a Driver to Bring me to this location, pay his Gas and Drive the 26ft rental Truck 3hours from That location to my Home in Staunton VA, What a Nightmare working with your company, we Expended $400 dollars paying the Driver and Gas for his car, we expend and extra $80 dollars Gas on the Rental Truck, and waisted so many hours of our time trying to Fix this Mess that Uhaul had Created for us! Cero Peace of Mind, i will Post this in My Facebook and My Social Network to Inform people about the way UHaul work and Do not Respect their Customer, do Not Honor their Word, and The Reservations ate Good for nothing! I Am Wondering How in the world this UHaul Company can Survive on Business with all Bad Practices! But the people at this Location where super Professionals and Respectful. RALPH CI rented a trailer, and the clerk in the store did not even come look at the trailer with me. I was just given paperwork and told, "Be sure you get the right trailer." I had to complete the hook-up and inspection on my own. The clerk was very nice and friendly; however, it seems like there are some liability issues with not seeing the rental process all the way through.
John PThe place I picked the uhaul at was good. The people were very nice and helpful. On the other hand getting the uhaul was horrible. I spoke with Forest from the scheduling department in Richmond numerous times. He has NO customer service skills at all. I asked to speak to a manager because he never helped me he refused to connect me to Ronda.I made my reservation 2 weeks prior to my move. I understand the reservation cannot be confirmed until 48hrs before the reserved date. I confirmed with Forest that my uhaul was 1 hr away to pick up in Elkton Virginia. I also called uhaul in Elkton VA to confirm my pick up.Then 1 day before pick up I received can email that the uhaul was 2 hrs and 30 mins away in West Virginia. I called scheduling once again Forest picked up. I asked him what happened to the uhaul in Elkton VA. He said he doesnt know and he can't help me. I had to drive to West VA to get a uhaul and a toll dolly because I didn't have anyone to drive me 2 hrs 1/2. When I picked up the uhaul it was 1/2 full. I had to put gas and spend 80.00 to fill it up to go back to Staunton VA. I am so fed up and should not have had to drive all the way to West VA to get the uhaul. Drive through the back roads with a tow dolly and a truck bogger than what I wanted and put gas in the car. Forest made sure he picked up my called. I would like a credit for the money spent for gas. My friend Meghan Luckey 757-778-3168 also moved the same day. Forest cancelled her reservation 1 day before her move and she had to drive 2 hrs away also to get her uhaul. She had a 26ft truck and was charged 190. Her and I moved from the same town to the same city the same day. How is it that my truck was smaller and I was charged a total of 224. 00?

Thomas WThe truck I rented had windshield wipers that were disintegrating with pieces of rubber flapping. The driver's door was sprung at some point and made so much wind noise I had to use earplugs to block out the noise. The truck stalled twice on the interstate. I contacted roadside assistance and they got me another truck.

Jeffrey PIn this area of the country, it would be helpful to have AWD. Also, noted earlier, this location does NOT have cellular service due to restrictions by the Green Bank Observatory. Therefore, your corporate process should consider this. The checkout / checkin process were severely hampered by this.
